I’d like Tom uninstall then reinstall skyforce because something doesn’t seem right comared to what I’ve seen it should look like. My clouds still look default when running SF. When not running SF and using ASCA, it looks better. Is there a good way to make sure I uninstall SF before reinstalling? I don’t see an uninstaller on my pc and wasn’t sure if it was as simple as going to my add/remove programs. Thanks!

Hi, I've had countless problems with P3Dv4 since moving over from FSX, mostly with scenery and performance. One problem is that with FTX Global, my roads are missing, and global isn't loading outside of the UK. This photo shows the UK2000 road that doesn't line up with the ORBX scenery like it did in FSX and on the right the only ORBX road that displays properly. To the right of this, there is a great grass patch where the road should be with cars driving on it. Hope someone can help here as my original post (copy below) on the "FSDT" forum got plenty of views but NO reply's, not even from the DEVS ! When I have started the sim (P3v4) and loaded up LOWI and parked at a stand say 6, I start gsx and it says I am at the helipad (JKLI) and it wants me to select a helipad parking space as if I have just landed. I cannot get it to change to the main menu. This only happens at LOWI and at any parking space there. All my other airports work fine with GSX. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. John.

So I finally bit the bullet and bought WF ZBAA airport scenery because I was tired of waiting for the other version. While landing I noticed that the landscape was pretty good without having ORBX Vector covering that area. I have Vector for the other areas of the world but it seems every time I have a problem with add on airports or other issues it always seems to be caused by Vector. Since I did not see too much of a difference in an area not covered I was wondering if I really need Vector. What am I getting in Vector that I can't get with non Vector?. Have you guys noticed any differences?. I do have FTX so that is fine but it's fine without Vector too. I didn't want to…

I would like to use the TDS 757's, 727's, Poseidon, and Wedgetail in P3D. The aircraft themselves work fine but I need a virtual cockpit to actually use them in the sim (they only come with a 2D cockpit). Can anyone recommend a VC I can use with these aircraft?

I'm getting the annoying "multiple objects with the same file name" popup on P3D splash start. Googling and the LM forums suggested this was a duplicate entry in the simobject.cfg file, but, I have no duplicate entries in said file. What did I do to deserve this annoyance, you ask? I'm really not sure, and am hoping one of you might know. I did recently add UPS repaints and models to my UTLive. Since I didn't have all the models I needed, I also installed the FLAI models, but disabled the FLAI add-on as soon as I figured out FLAI only works with VATSIM.

Hi, Possibly a silly question, but is there an easy way to see a VOR to VOR flight plan in cockpit in P3d V4? I plan my flights in PlanG and currently write the freqs and radials out on a notepad... Don't need a GPS type display, just a list of waypoints with pertinent info. Graham

The P3Dv4 SDK is absolutely foreign to me. All I want to do is take a picture of the A/P panel in my HS748. It is located on the center console between the Pilot and FO. I'd like to be able to assign a key to it so I can pop it up while still maintaining my view out the front. Hi everyone, my first post, so would greatly appreciate some advice. I’m getting in a knot understanding the relationship between my add-ons in respect of flight planning. I’m lucky enough to have a RW IR and a DA40 with an Aspen and GNS430s so fly the Carenado Bonanza inP3D for the same instrumentation. I want to create lower airways flightplans and fly them in P3D and that can also be understood by VoxATC. Am I correct in assuming I should create the IFR flight plan in something like Plan-G and then import it into ASP4? Or create the flight plan in P3D directly? What is the best given my add-ons? Hello, we are encountering a frustrating issue. One of our testers installed a utility addon, which I hesitate to name as I am not sure it is the culprit and also hate to be negative about a fellow developer, but will be open to discuss via pm. His frame rates went from 80-90fps before the utility install to 40-50fps, nothing else was installed. The sudden drop seems to affect all airports, regardless of them being default or custom made. The utility has been deleted, but perhaps some files remain, or something was changed by it. This affects my release dates until I solve it, and it is the only tester reporting that issue, and the only one who installed that utility…

Hi. I need help regarding default airports Blue taxiway lights. Which file or effect is responsible for blue lights? I have a problem in P3Dv4. It worked before but obviously something is changed and now I have a problem. The problem is that Blue lights are visible away from aircraft, but as I'm moving lights near aircraft just disappear. It looks like lights are faded as soon as I'm closer to them. Thanks in advance BRGDS Edo

Prepar3D switches the lights on too late for my liking. When landing in the evening I'm sometimes, when the timing is bad, struggling to make out the runway on approach during dusk because it's not lit up even though it's already fairly dark. Same goes for city lights which is a bit annoying. Is there a way to tell the simulator to turn them on earlier? Like modifying a cfg file?

Hi guys, Just finished a flight and pulled up to my gate at flytampa's toronto in the pmdg 777. Went to connect sode jetways and this happened. Any thoughts?

(this has occurred on PMDG, QW and AS Airbus so it is not a developer issue) You spend 30 minutes setting up the preflight You begin pushback Once ready to taxi, you disengage the parking brakes and you advance the throttles, engines spool up but... Aircraft does not move! The sim believes the aircraft is moving because in frustration you go full throttle and the callouts happen - "80 knots, V1..." etc I would like to know if anyone else had experienced this and if there's a workaround without having to abort and restarting everything!

Howdy Fellow Captains, Just a head's up, Tomato Shade has been updated to work with 4.3. Just remember to restore original shaders before installing the 4.3 client and running the updated version of Tomato Shade. I made the mistake of forgetting to do that and it created some error messages. If you updated the client already, roll it back, restore original shaders, then reinstall 4.3 client, re-apply whatever shader presets being used and everything should work fine. I also had to reinstall the reflections. In any case, this is great news, and a good alternative to PTA while Matt works on an update. Cheers, John

P3D 4.2 I'm using photo scenery and mesh. The sims default scenery shorelines are showing up beneath and around the photo scenerys own shorelines instead of being masked giving two shorelines, the P3D default shoreline and the Photo scenery shoreline. The scenery is old now and initially for FSX, but as I recall, this happened when I used it in FSX as well (sadly I cannot remember how I fixed it). I have looked into this on the internet but found little to no information. It's Horizons Scotland North photo scenery. Worked in earlier versions of P3D, maybe a 64bit issue. In the past (FS9), the advice I remembered from the experts was that it was important to load a new airport scenery area, then load Flight Sim, then close FS before loading another scenery area. Is this a thing anymore? Is there any benefit to launching P3D between each scenery area installation? Or can I just install 10 of them and then boot up P3D and away it will go? It seems like an arcane question -- and it would be, if I hadn't just rebuilt my P3D computer, necessitating reloading about 20 or 30 sceneries! 😉 Thanks, Ted

Hello all, I have owned P3Dv2,3 and 4 but have never actually flown them extensively due mainly to a preoccupation with the use of 6 monitors. this limited me to FS2004. However, I have lately, been playing with v4 and using only a single monitor. Slowly, I am getting used to the single monitor and I am hoping...hmmm... saving, to get into VR which prompted the change in attitude. In FS2004 I only fly in Australia, NZ and Indonesia and have all the freeware airports/sceneries and meshes for Australia (no payware available as far as I know) and BDO Aviation payware and freeware sceneries for Indonesia (excellent by the way). Hi all, I've been struggling with a very annoying problem lately in P3dv4.3. Sometimes (not all of the time), when I switch tasks, (i.e. select a song on Itunes), a strange problem occurs: first of all, the sound of the aircraft engines becomes a lot softer. I can still hear other cabin sounds, but the engine sounds are somehow turned down. Secondly, my terrain textures just stop loading, with results comparable to the last 3 pictures of this post: In combination with this, the textures of any add-on airports don't load anymore, I can only see their shape in black forms (and also black runways), but there are no textures. Many years ago a freeware designer made a version of LAX for FS9. Included in their version was the In-n-Out burger. By popular demand after the freeware developer folded, the In-n-Out was uploaded as an individual package, but again for FS9.
