Can't decide between getting a 32" or a 27" curved screen for P3DV4. I want a larger screen then my 8 year old 22" Acer since I find myself leaning in more and more to read my cockpit screens. (Aging eyes). Consider I sit at a desk with my face about three feet from the screen so I wonder if the 32" HP IPS would be a bit overwhelming at that distance. Does anyone have a like set up? Also could anyone tell me if using a curved screen in any way distorts or negatively affects P3D. Does a large 32 " screen diminish resolution? Been on line shopping all day and had to consult my AVSIM buds before deciding. Leaning toward the 27" HP27B with a curved screen. Thanks f…

Over the last decade the Intel processor development has been mostly about increasing number of cores. The speed and performance of a single core has been more or less the same over the period (around 4Ghz) . This trend is likely to be continued over the next decade as well. What does this mean for the Prepar3D performance and the need for upgrading our motherboards and new CPUs? As long as Prepar3D is 80% based on the speed and performance of a single CPU core, we will not see any dramatic performance leap in Prepar3D. I believe that it is more or less just throwing out money to upgrade from an i7 6700K to the newest i9 9900K…

As this topic doesn't relate to support for the product but rather as a new development for P3Dv4, I have posted here. This seems to be the XP Ortho scenery for P3D. It looks super amazing, and I cannot wait until more regions get rolled out.

So quick question. Has anyone tried single engine taxi in the FSL bus? There seems to be a ridiculous amount of yaw when trying to do so that I can't keep it straight without a fairly significant amount of tiller input. (Maybe 30-50% of my total range) Is that what goes on in the real thing? I feel like if I had an engine failure on takeoff the whole thing might swap ends.

Looking for links to P3D v4.3 compatible DC-3, C46 or C47 aircraft, with repaints from Alaska/North America, Scandinavia, Russia & so on - anywhere these ski equipped radials would operate. Particularly Buffalo Airways, but any repaint fitting the Subject would be welcome. Thanks T45

Hello Folks, I'm not one to come on here and praise any one product individually, but for anyone considering this software, don't hesitate!!! Ive just purchased it and all I can say is... BRAVO OLD PROP, BRAVO!!!!!! My goodness, what a program, kick myself for waiting this long, easy to use and easy to setup. Hello fellow Simmers, my Name is Clemens and i am from Germany. First of all, apologies for my bad english, i hope you can understand everything. I´ve seen some absolutely beautiful and stunning repaints of the Carenado King Air 350i and i was wondering if there is any chance someone could make a repaint for me for this plane. I am a flight paramedic and i am flying for the "ADAC" here in Germany. We have four different aircrafts, including a King Air. It would be so awesome if you can make this repaint so i can fly "my" King Air in Prepar3d. Here is the google page with the Plane: https://www.google.de/search?biw=1920&bih=9…

Hello all - has anyone else seen this on youtube - not sure if I'm allowed to post the link but the title is "Vertx Diamond DA62 Part 2 - In Detail". What a beautiful product from high-end developers. And a huge thanks to sir Ruediger!

As a lover of the Garmin G1000 I wonder if the instrument will be 100% modeled in the upcoming and eagerly awaited release of the DA-62 from Vertx, that was announced one month ago. Any recent news about its release date? Cheers, Ed

Recently I've noticed that taxiways and ramp areas at stock airports all over the world are now black instead of the default textures I saw originally with P3Dv4. This is true on the ground and inflight. I can see pavement markings around the gates, though. I've had lots of ORBX, and pay ware scenery products installed for a long time, and never saw this before. I can't think of anything I did that caused this to happen, so I'm not sure what went wrong. I'm hesitant to start moving items up and down in the scenery list for fear of making things worse. I've tried to find related posts, but the ones that I do find that are somewhat similar, offer conflicting ideas on how to…

Hi all- Do external frame rate limiters work correctly in 4.3? I'm trying to use the nVidia Inspector limiter. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Can find a definite pattern as to why, yet. Thanks, Mark

  13. This is a weird problem that I can’t resolve. After booting up my new PC I launch P3D v4 and it will crash before the free flight window is displayed. I have to close the GoFlight program that controls my 7 GoFlight modules. ChasePlane closes itself. But on second and subsequent launches it runs absolutely fine. I was installing 50+ scenery packages this week and after each one I loaded P3D and checked the airport looked okay. So this process has been well and truly hammered. My EXE.XML contains two entries - one for ChasePlane and the other for the GoFlight executable. Looking at Event Viewer there are two and sometimes three application error entries. The…

Hi, Does anyone know if Aerosoft are planning to update their Dublin airport any time soon for P3Dv4. Their current version on their site is for P3Dv2 max. Is there a workaround to make this work in v4, or are there any good freeware/payware versions out there. Thanks, John.

  16. Just a warning!!! My experiences with the newly released REX/MILVIZ WX Weather Radar in The Duke under P3Dv3.2 has lead to a disaster on my system. I got a black screen and in some way all visuals are blocked. I had to delete all Duke scenarios and uninstall th WX Weather Radar to get up and running again. The WX Weather Radar works in f.i. the P3D default Beech A36. You don't get hurt as long as you don't install it in The Duke. Rex is working on a solution. Dirk

I’m rubbing my hands together in anticipation of the forthcoming milviz 30% off Black Friday sale. I already have their 310R ,PA30 and Otter so I’m definitely going to grab the 737-200 an old favourite of mine. Just been looking at some YouTube clips and at their website at the other aircraft they do which might be worth grabbing in the sales. ‘Does anyone have any particular recommendations or experience with their military or helicopter stuff that they can recommend picking up? I’ve got to say looking at YouTube and the website their advanced series T38 is looking extremely interesting cheers Jon

Hi, I have developed an application that automagically replaces Utlimate Traffic Live repaints by FLAi repaints. Before releasing it as freeware, I need a few beta-testers to check if it functions 99% correctly. The application does not change or replace anything in your sim environment, it only creates a new repaint xml file that you manually have to copy/paste to your Utl repaints folder. I have created a manual, available here: Zipped PDF file If you would like to beta test, leave me a PM with your email address. Needless to say you need: Ultimate Traffic Live and FLAi AI package installed Egbert

  23. Hello, in some addon airports, for example Jetstream's LIML, after landing i ask for a parking clearance, and the ATC says "taxi to park "-MISSING NUMBER-" via taxiway...ect. It's missing the parking area number. With gates it works, and in default LIML it works. What could be the problem?

  24. Hi all, not sure why this problem is becoming more and more common but I'm wondering if anyone has the problem of P3D hanging at the srtartup screen, and if so, perhaps try this: 1. Open task manager 2. Find prepar3d.exe in the list 3. Right-click and select "Go to details" 4. Right-click once again on prepar3d.exe and select "Set priority" = high When I do this, P3D launches in seconds. I'm not sure if this problem is associated with Windows 10 disastrous updates but it would be nice if anyone will get the same results as I. I had used "delete generated files" but this caused problems with Orbx and other scenery and I found this (possible) solution seamle…
