Just getting back into Flight Simulation after a 5 year hiatus and am wondering what is the recommended offline ATC these days? I have Radar Contact 4 from a bygone era and have been stunned to find that there are so many ATC programs out now. From what I understand, the contenders seem to be Pro-ATC/X, VoxATC, Pilot2ATC, and PF3. Are any of these better than RC? I have done some searching on these but they usually involve outdated posts so am just wondering what the latest on this is. Jason

Hi Folks, So with the news of P3Dv4 PBR lighting imminent - what has to be done to models and textures to take full advantage of this ? Are there new texture sheets that need to be made to capitalize off this - or will everything just look better by default ? I've seen advertisements for XP where they specifically advertise PBR materials - is this just advertising hype - or is work really required ? Thanks... Regards, Scott

Hi, I hope the community can help me with this problem/!. I have all the paper work for the Real-Air Dukes,including the Installers. Unfortunatly when I run the installers I keep getting a message "Cannot connect to the internet" then up comes Finish and that's it, no installation. (My internet is O.K.) Both aircraft have been installed before on the same machine with all of the same settings. I hope, that I have not lost these two beautifull aircraft. O/S Win 7. P3dv3 Regards Mike

I un-installed the Plus Client. De-activate? no. I then went to the individual component, then installed client msi. Went to the desktop icon, opened the sim. Clicked on help. Went to the bottom option and this is what I saw: Prepared Version 4.4.16.27077. Sim Connect Version 4.4.0.0. Knowing that it should have been version 4.3.29.25520, I went back and tried it again. Something went very wrong. I tried installing the client ant content and now when I try to open the sim I get a pop up that says : that I don't have the client or content, I don't remember which one, but it closes.

Just wondering if anyone else experiences virtually zero traffic at VTBS when using UTLive? I've ported over an old scenery I purchased (aa_sceneries? Not sure, or at computer at the moment ) so it's not stock. If so, is there an easy fix? Thanks for the help! -Daniel P3D4.3, Windows 10 x64 Home.

Hello. Who faced or who knows how to solve the problem. AS P3D V4 license, when flying at flight, it ceases to draw clouds, but after changing the drawing distance in AS settings (maximum clou draw distance) to 0 and again to maximum, the clouds are drawn further. And so have to do every time. I went through all the settings and the Internet, I did not find a solution. In those. support is not addressed yet, there is a long song. Thank you in advance.

Hey, I installed tomatoshade and the reflection 0n the qw 787. The outside looks great but the cockpit is too dark, so dark I had to fly with the dome light on the whole flight i the middle of the day. This is also true for other aircraft exterior looks great cockpit too dark. Any help is appreciated. James Jackson

Hi all- Unlimited w/vsync works pretty well for me under certain circumstances as a frame rate limiter. I was wondering how the threshold is determined that will drive vsync down to half refresh rate (which in my setup is 60hz). I'll see it fluctuate between 60 and about 42-44 depending on load and then it will snap to 30 which is the sweet spot on my rig. It can go the other way as well. So, is the break at an average between 60/30 or is there a time component involved, or is it load? Cheers, Mark

Payware Add on Aircraft Not Showing up in P3D v4.4 Pro. Unzipped and added files to C:\Users\Phil\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A T-6A\ per instructions. P3D is installed to D:\Prepar3D. When P3D first launched after copying files was asked if I wanted to enable A2A addon, answered yes. Tried to switch vehicle and not listed. Launched P3D with default F22. Tried to switch and still not listed. Go to Addons screen and it's listed and checked. I just completed the upgrade for 4.4 successfully. When I verified my P3D package version in control Panel-Programs & features I see that the package name: Prepar3D V4 Professional is still at version 4.2.21.24048. All the others are upgraded to 4.4.16.27077 (Prepar3D v4 Professional client, Prepar3D v4 Content & Prepar3D v4 Scenery). Is this normal? Pierre

How do I disable or remove? It is not V4.4 compatible so all my aircraft that I use it on appear all black now. Assume its due to tomato shade.

Hi, can anyone suggest what might be going on with my GPU? I have a GTX1060 that until tonight has been functioning just fine. Now when I run P3Dv4 with even the most basic scenery and the R22 the GPU utilization jumps immediately to 100% and stays there. Yesterday was fine nothing new installed but today its jerky and unflyable. I have deleted the shaders directory and prepar3d.cfg and rebooted but no change. My current Nvidia driver is 23.21.13.9065 which I didn't want to get into messing with at this stage. Can anyone suggest what to try next?

Hi guys, a few weeks ago i upgraded my medieval i5-2500K to a more recent ryzen5-2600 system (yes, a i5/i7 qould have been better in many terms, but money was an issue). Though i am quite happy with the overall performance, this 159€ CPU is offering, i encountered a strange drop of framerate when approaching certain areas. In my case, the problem occurs when overflying in low level oder landing/taking off from LPPT (MK-Scenery, up to date) and LTBA (Taxi2Gate-Scenery). When approaching these airports, the frames suddenly drop from stable 30 (locked) down to 2-4, sometimes further to zero accompanied by a CTD. In LTBA, the frames are already this low when startin…

FSL A319 - A320 causes the ERROR. Hi! some smart, kind person here how can help me? When I start P3D v 4.4 an error message shows (see added file) and then I can only here the sound from RAAS and an engine sound from a default acft, maybe from the Raptor. P3D does not appear on my monitor and I have to turn off P3D via task manager.

Updated to 4.4 with only Client+Content, removed Shaders, new prepar3d.cfg, upgraded addons (usual stuff) Everything seems to run smoothly and I'm quite happy with the update in general. So far my only concern is that I'm not able to open the VR Settings menu as clicking it crashes P3D. Funny fact is that i'm acutally able to go VR and fly, but I have no way to setup "Single pass" - "Stereo" -etc... It happens on any airport, on any plane, with VR actually running and without. Tonight I installed a paint for the default Iris F-22. For the title= line in the aircraft cfg file I put title=Iris F-22A Raptor - 525th Fighter Squadron and when I started P3D I got the following error "Vehicle initialization has failed for F-22 Raptor - 525th Fighter Squadron. You will now be placed in visualization only mode". (Everything in the sim worked except for that paint) After I exited the sim I changed the title= line to title=F-22 Raptor - 525th Fighter Squadron. After that I did not get any errors at all. Why was I getting a error with the first title= line I had? PS: I did delete the texture folder and the aircraft entry in the cfg…

I have also posted in Milviz forum on AVSIM. As the title says - as soon as I set-up initial flight, and click Load Flight, I get the CTD with this aircraft. I've tried other aircraft, even the 310R Redux and it works fine. Anyone else having an issue? Edit: Sorry, I am referring to the Milviz DHC-3 Otter.

I only see one Freedom Tower as an addon. It was written for FSX but can be used in P3D I guess?? What is the folder and path I need to put it in? I created a folder in the P3D scenery folder and extracted the files there, but the tower did not show up. I have the latest P3D.

I haven't yet seen any comments regarding the improvement in rendering Photo Scenery. How do you select the higher resolutions, and has anybody tried it? Dave.

Hi Gents, Is there any tutorial/guide on how to install PROATC/X in a network environment (P3D)? Does the one in the PROATC/X user manual also apply to P3D installs (page 79)? Thank you in advance and happy flying.
