P3d no longer accepts email support,,,so I cannot revive my account. I signed up with and had all my info with an email service I no longer have access to so if I go to support and ask to renew or revive my password it just sends the info to that old non functioning email. I emailed support but got the message they no longer supply support through email and to go to the forums..ok but same thing,,I go to the forum to revive my forum password and they send it to the non functioning email... My payment still comes out of my bank so now I am paying for P3d but cannot update...

In case anyone doesn't look at the Lorby-SI forum here on Avsim, the owner Oliver has put together a new addon for P3DV4 (only) that allows you to have a simconnect window in sim that you can either add/remove/edit text to through an external program (so you can add things during flight prep then display them in sim), or do the same in sim, so you can use it as a scratch pad. The same app also allows you to edit the kneeboard, for instance, to add images of things like approach plates or airport diagrams. Updated only the client to 4.4 then. FPS plunged around KSEA (3rd party add on) from 17.5 to 23 FPS to 12 FPS!!.. Same for FSDT KLAX and KSAN. This with the RTX 2080 8 Gig. Updated to the very latest Nvidia Driver. Pretty sure my P3dv4.3 config file remained the same with just the client update. What on earth is going on? Noticed also when switching aircraft on the ground the simulation comes up with a pause message which "P to unpause doesn't always work and I must quit out of the Simulation - also FSDT GSX 2 Airbridge request for a gate doesn't always work. I know Orbx SoCal is a performance hit - but even so, why the huge discrepancy between 4.3 and 4.4…

Hello, I have just installed Rex 4 Textures Direct on a freshly installed Prepar3d v4.4 and the water textures are horrible. I do notice a change in the textures (e.g. typical Rex coral water textures near TNCM) but the result is more than unsatisfying. The texture transition is blocky and not smooth and the wavyness is simply to few, although I have chosen a strong wave profile. I suppose some of my settings in Rex 4 or P3d are wrong. I'm not using any addon scenery or other addon at the moment! Back in the times of FSX i used to have such nice water animations with Rex Overdrive! Hello all, I have been trying to install sode v 1.6.3 for a while now and have come across this error repeatedly where it says "There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor". I have also been running into a lot of blocking from the site and had to bypass it. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated thanks! Simon S.

hi, before i would apologize for my english speaking. I'm french and don't speak well english. I played without any problems until yesterday, i built a new PC and i don't understant some controls that don't work anymore on my new pc. On my old one it's OK. On my old pc i can press CTRL+numpad number to save camera position and after i can press for example numpad1 for retrieve the saved view. I also can press shift + arrow keys in order to move camera position (left/right side, move foward/backward). All of those controls don't even works on my new computer. Hey. Im having an unsolvable problem with the night lighting in 4.4 I have reinstalled everything, including windows, and i cant get this solved. A lot of people are reporting pitch black, and accepting it as the new look. Its not. I managed to catch it glitching, please see the video youtube link. Its like the dynamic lighting is failing. Is it shaders? Iv tried PTA and no luck. Im wondering Nvidia problems? 4.4 problem? Something isnt right. I can see fine sometimes for 10 minutes, and then the darkness comes! And as you can see in the video, this happens sometimes in stages. Any ideas?

Hi! I'm using 2 Saitek throttle quadrants (six levers combined) when playing P3D V3. Every time when starting the P3D, it seems to "forget" the settings for levers and buttons I've already set for it. For example: I start a flight, and during cockpit preparation and lever checks the levers settings has turned to the opposite from the last time I flew. The two levers I had for throttles are now moving the flap and speed brake levers, and levers for flaps and speed brakes are now moving the throttles. In the control settings I find quadrant 1 and quadrant 2. The settings are for the A320 quadrants from left to right --> in the quadrant 1 there is…

I have all of the settings maxed out, and thankfully the sim is running smoothly. The problem is, the waves that are hitting the beaches are shooting up vertically.

I ran the world navaids package and ILS/Rwy regional updates available here: http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html I didn't notice anything at first, but I suspect that's because I just happened to fly into airports that still worked. But most airports that I've flown into have put me on the visual approach despite being on an IFR flight plan, and even when I'm landing in bad visibility (stock ATC). Choosing another approach only gives other visual approaches, no ILS ones. Thing is, I looked around before I ran these updates and didn't see any complaints. When I flew FS9 and later FSX I used FSEarth by Luciano Napolitano. This placed my aircraft on an overlay of Google Earth and showed its heading and speed. There was also an option to show Ai but I didn't bother with that option. It was extremely useful in helping me identify cities, towns, villages, rivers and mountain ranges that I would not otherwise know. Since switching to P3D v3.4 FSEarth won't work and after contacting Luciano it seems he's luke warm about making it compatible with that simulator. I'm looking for a replacement. I have an Orbyx Scenery setup in P3Dv 4.3 I notice when flying around Kamloops CYKA and Cache Creek AZ5 area that all the airstrips are OK except for Salmon Arm CZAM and Vernon CYVK These two show scenery anomalies like asphalt runway changing to grass halfway down the strip during take off,runway is proud of surrounding scenery etc Why is this? Running FTX Global Configurator doesn’t help -offending runways not present The two runways are OK in my FSX setup Puzzling! xxd09

I have done the client update. Excepting a few things not working, the sim is just fine. I see a slew of posts about tweaking this, that and the other thing in the cfg file. May I ask why? I have what might be seen as now an old system however only two years old, GTX970 and I can run P3DV4.4 with lots of the key setting maxed. What is there to be gained by more tweaking? I just don't want to start doing the endless loop of tweak this and that. But I'm thinking that I might be missing out on something or other because so many folks seem to be posting stuff about tweaks. hi I have a 500g ssd drive and have partitioned it for Windows 10 c drive and p3d drive d the c drive is almost full so was wondering if it's possible to install a new drive for p3d this will be e drive then delete the d partition which will free up space on the c drive I then would change my new drive from e to d and hopefully I would not have to reinstall Windows 10 and p3d hope this is possible.

Hi all , i was looking to purchase a Decent gaming pc for under 900£ to play p3d on ( recently used my laptop and it was very laggy). I was wanting to buy a second hand one from eBay about a year old with i5 8600k Gtx 1060 6gb 16g ddr3 ram ASU’s motherboard I was wondering if these specs are good enough to run p3d ( with aircraft such as aero soft a320 , aseosoft airports , weather (active sky) and orbx ) If this isn’t good enough could u recommend any brand new pcs to run p3d on ?  or would it be better to buy a brand new pc with Same specs and an i5 8400

Has anyone checked to see if performance has improved enough with either an RTX2080 or an RTX 2080 TI to allow use of Speedtrees? 3D trees look so much more realistic (other than some of them are that odd electric green color) in P3d4 and DCS World. It's a shame that they drag down performance in P3d4.

So I just bought Chaseplane and installed it. First tried out v4, at first I couldn't pan around, but when I set basic controls it panned but was stuttering heavily. Fired up v3 and same problem. Downloaded a preset but it's still there. Any help? This doesn't happen without Chaseplane.

SimMarket has a special deal where if you buy the FSX version you get the P3D v4 version of the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 for 14 euros, so I went for it. I installed it in v4.4 and it loaded up and works fine so far, but I was wondering if anybody knows if this add on has a livery manager..?? I didn't see one in any of the installed folders, but maybe i'm not looking in the right location. It's a nice bird but it comes with a lot of liveries for airlines and countries i'll probably never fly in, so i'd like to get rid of some of those and add some others. I know how to manually add and delete liveries in the aircraft.cfg file, but it's a tedious and time consuming p…
