I recently upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10, but since then when I startup P3Dv4.4 it takes about 5 mins. to get to the P3D start-up screen. Can anyone explain what may be causing this. I have switched off the firewall without any change. Thanks.

Hi every one, I have had this little problem that the shadows of the plane are not equal but grumpy, quirky and not equal. I have a GTX 1080 8 GB Graphic Card from MSI, and I've tried to turn up and down the shadow settings in the P3D v4 even though without luck. I would hear if there is anyone who can help me ??? Gone away from NI and strictly to NCP for P3D v4.4. Still having some lagging issues with frame rates. Is there a way to set frames within NCP? I have P3D settings at unlimited. No tweaks. Thanks in advance. i7-8700K 3.7ghz 16GBRam Windows 10

I purchased earlier this month, not knowing that 4.4 was released, and 4.3 was the only version that was working some other add-ons I purchased. As it stands, I don't have a 4.3 installer backed up, as I never had 4.3 installed. I tried rolling back to 4.3 client after installing 4.4, but when I open the Sim, it hangs at the scenario setup screen trying to load the F-22. After a couple of minutes, it crashes to the desktop. I've tried deleting the shaders folder, and prepar3d.cfg file after re-install of the 4.3 client, but no luck.

Hi folks, Im using tomatoshade for some environmental adjustments to 4.4 but wondering if there’s an easy way to add a little bit of gloss to the virtual cockpit. I couldn’t really notice any internal effects with tomato so I’m guessing the only other way is fiddling with the alpha channel which maybe above my capabilities. I use only VR for flying these days instead of the big 4K screen and want/like to gloss up the flight deck just a bit because of the dullness from the headset. Any helpful hints would be appreciated. Prepar3dV4.4 seemed like an update just tying up loose ends. this forum posts had some slight proof that v5 may come soon, wich gives me hope that Truesky will maybe be in V5 I mean, who wouldn't want this, i guess yeah AS and Rex would only work in V4 but still, this is way better than wierd laggy overcast and stretched textures right?

Hi, I only fly 2 or 3 payware aircrafts and I loose time to scroll in the menu to select them. I plan to remove all P3D default aircrafts except the F-22 raptor for the default flight (I know it is best to not modify the default flight before selecting an addon aicraft). Is there any drawback or side effect if I remove the P3D default aircrafts except the F-22?

Which with Setting in Tomato i can increase the light of the Cloud Shadows . Here one Picture with cloud Shadow and one without cloud shadow . I personally think it is too dark for me when i receive the Cloud Shadows. In PTA there is an Setting "Cloud Shadow Depth" but i cant find it in Tomato. Hello, I have been having this problem with P3D for a long time now and I don't know how to fix it. I always get between 15-20fps on P3D when I'm on the ground, taking off or landing, but when I'm in the air it goes up to 30-45. Everybody may know it already, but I didn't, so I thought I'd share this with others, if they don't know. Please correct me if I'm off base or missed something. I needed to rebuild the P3Dv4.4 config file for various reasons. I deleted the file and let P3D rebuild it. I then went to the display option settings, and they were just as I left them--in each option! They did not revert to the default, as used to occur in prior iterations of P3D config rebuilding. I didn't believe this, so I did it again and my initial options setting stayed the same, again, and didn't go back to default. Unless I've overlooked something, I really like this feature. I did a complete install of the latest P3Dv4.2 iteration, from 4.1 where all worked fine. I also reinstalled ENVTEX, AS4, ASCA, ORBX Base, Vector and Trees, with all required updates, with the recommended middle of the road settings. I used to fly in v4.1 (same addons) with cloud ground shadows enabled, and they looked fine. Now, they are very, very dark, so that the ground looks almost black where they are. Everything else looks fine in v4.2. I deleted my shaders file and rebuilt them--no luck. Deleted my config file and rebuilt it--no luck. Restored my original textures from ENVTEX backup--no luck. Dear all After almost two weeks flying P3D I started to think of getting a traffic add-on, after a research I found that there is an add-on called "Ultimate Traffic live" that seems interesting but I couldn't find an online store to get it from? any idea why? and any recommendation for an AI traffic that works fine with P3D v4,4? I guess this cry for help is for Elaine. Her tutorials are so easy to follow and are such an enormous help with all things Flightsim, be it FSX or P3D. I executed Elaine's Tongass Fjords Install tutorial to the letter. The installation appears to have been a success in that I am sure all the files and folders are in the right place. Hello, I use P3Dv4.3. I have a CH Yoke, CH rudder pedals,3 Saitek quadrants. I don't use FSUIPC. Yesterday I lost all my control assignments. At first I thought that it was a USB mix up caused by Windows seven, which I've already experienced. But it was not the case because the assignments were the same with the 3 quadrants and those in the Yoke did not make sense. My conclusion is that it could be a P3D issue. Has anybody encountered this problem? Is there a fix? I don't think that the Joystick ID tool would be useful because it was not related to a mix up between my pieces of hardware. Thank you

Hi all- I've installed KSFOHD and as you can see, all is not right. I'm running ORBX Norcal under very restricted conditions. I use it to get KMRY and KSTS to sit properly. Interestingly, when I refresh scenery, the black squares go away. Anyone else have/seen this? Thanks, Mark

I'm asking here because mostly everyone uses Chaseplane, but I cant seem to get a pleasing camera shake effect in the flightdeck. Does anyone have a config for Chaseplane with realistic camera shake for T/O and Landing runs? It's not a big issue but every time I take-off, my shake effect is either exaggerated or not enough and the movement doesn't look quite right either. I think EZDOK did a much better job at this without much intervention - although I love everything else about CP , so it's no biggie

So i just bought the expansion for the pmdg B748, and with that there is an update to the 744 as well, in which one has to uninstall and reinstall the 744. So i do that, and i want to add my tomato profiles again, but i get the "Failed to read the selected profile file. It might be not available or is incompatible with this version". I have tried to remove all of my 747 liveries, i tried to reinstall the profiles.. I still get the error :/ Hopefully someone out here can help me with this issue, Thanks in advance
