I am very impressed and happy with the sharpness of PR (photoreal) scenery in P3D 4.4. It has been said that putting [TERRAIN]TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=10 in the P3D.cfg makes it even sharper. I have tested that at different locations (compared to TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=9 and always with "high resolution terrain textures" ticked in the UI) and I cannot see any difference between the two settings (except for longer loading times). So I wonder what this setting is expected to do exactly. Does it need an extremely high resolution photoscenery to make a difference? Most of my photoreal scenery is said to be in 1m - resolution…

Hi all, before I try my luck at the F1 forums, I'll post here. Is there a way to reset the GTN mid-flight? It so happened that I was approx. 119NM from destination when the GTN decided to freeze up on me. I could not find any process in task manager so, any ideas?

Hello, i have issue on my P3D Ver. 4.4. ive got fps drop frequently or worse in T/O or LDG Roll. Im using PMDG 737NGX in Virtual Cockpit mode, ive searched some problem that occurs when touchdown or t/o roll is the "effect" of skidmark.fx so i moved it out of the folder but i felt this didnt work. This occur only in second but its annoying for me. Hi, I'm using P3dV4 with addons like PMDG 737, Orbx NA, OpenCL, SC, Rex4, UTL and GSX on FSdreamteam&sim city x KLAX but I'm getting very low FPS(0-20fps) because of the load my CPU is getting. My system is gtx 1080, i7 coffelake, 16gb ddr4. I tried lowest to ultra settings and that didn't work.. Other major cities anc airports I usually get 20-30FPS on high settings which is still pretty BAD considering the addons isn't that heavy on the scenery.. I then updated to 4.4 with clean install meaning not a single addon installed, completely fresh P3D 4.4 and I was getting about 20-30fps with a default f22 raptor on active runway in KLAX with half cloud half…

Hello! I am moving to P3D v4 in a few months time, as i am fed up with low fps, chunky camera movements and OOMS! I run all of orbx's stuff (expect trees) and use aircraft such as the Aerosoft Airbus and PMDG 777 etc... My specs are: I5 8600K @4.7Gh z GTX 1060 6GB 8 GB RAM 128GB SSD 2TB HHD can you guys recommend which settings i should use and how good fps will be? Thanks Ollie

Hello: Two questions on Panning: 1. I know there is a way to adjust the Panning speed (make it more sensitive/finer) but I cannot figure out how to do it...Can someone advise? 2. Is there a keyboard setting that will "snap" the panel back to center after panning around? Thanks a lot....

Hi, Updated from v4.3 to v4.4 last week by uninstalling/installing the client.msi. Last night for the second time since updating, I encountered a sudden and not recovering loss of fps. After preflight, pushback and engine start with the Maddog MD-82, my fps dropped from roughly 30fps on average to below 10fps and causing a slideshow. Totally in the dark on what happened. After I rebooted my system everything was fine again. Few days ago I had the same during a testflight with the default Raptor from ENVA. So I guess that rules out aircraft or scenery.... At ENVA I had ActiveSky running, but with KSAN I did not. With KSAN TrackIR was active, with ENVA not. So …

Hi all, just wondering, in the real-world, what would happen on a real-world flight if you try to add fuel in the FMS of a Boeing or Airbus? Obviously, there wouldn't be any fuel added to the aircraft (😁 ) so I assume it would wreak havoc on fuel calculations. I just find it a bit silly that you can do so in our sim-world. Why can't the developers (especially the big guys) disable this feature once a flight begins?

Hey guys! I hope you're doing well, so i have blurries in my p3d, here's screenshot. Spoiler When, i takeoff from any airport the ground looks good, bet when i flew about 200 miles, all scenery becames blurry. I've tried: Deleting Prepar3d.cfg changing nvidia settings

Hmm, after a while (5 minutes ?)sitting in LOWI by ORBX and after a 30 minute flying time the screen just turn blue. I can see information on top but nothing happens . If i reload with another time of day everything is back to normal. GPU load is about 40% and VRAM about 5230mb so ? Anyone else who has experience this ? 417.01 driver and GTX1080ti (btw alot of W10 update lately - also the blue screen has same colour as some W10 backgrounds) Thanks Michael Moe

Hi everyone, recently I bought P3D so I could fly the FSLabs A320. However Im having issues with the FPS. My first thought was that my CPU and/or my GPU were not good enough for P3D, but when I looked at my task manager I found out that both my GPU and my CPU were not even working at 50%. I really want to enjoy P3D cause the FSLabs A320 is the best A320 on the market right now. My FPS are between 10 and 15. I think P3D is not taking advantage of my pc specifications. Do you have any ideas of what I can do to increase my performance in this simulator? I also fly with Xplane 11 and my FPS are between 25 and 30 with a GPU workload of 95-99% I dont know what to do with P…

I have been using Microsoft Flight Sim for a few decades and moved up to P3D. I notice the same flaws exist in both. It happens throughout multiple computers and still exists on the latest P3D 4.4. 1. I terrain mesh is set to high < 16, you still get a severe downward crash as you approach a runway off the water. I thought it was a freak thing with FSX, still exists today. 2. If you do a touch and go and try to enter a new destination in the FMC (as you just took off) you get a CTD every time. Still exists. 3. I was told that the instant replays for PMDG would not show the speed brakes and reversers on instant replay as it was a FSX constraint…

I've really enjoyed my current Acer Xr34.... I've had it for almost 3 years now. I am considering getting a new monitor to take advantage of newer technology. 4k is a possibility. I don't think I could go down in size though...... If i did it would have to be to a 32" non-ultra wide or something like that so I would gain some screen height. I will likely keep the Xr 34 as a second monitor for EFB, flight planning purposes, etc. Any suggestions? FYI, I am running a GTX1080 on an i7-6700k @ 4.5 Ghz

Hello, does anybody know whats the differences ingame Vsync and Nvidia vsync? also the triple buffering. Because i saw some setting that they turn off on Nvidia setting and turn on it on ingame.

Hi, bit of a noob question but I can't for the life remember how to do it, I have just done a complete reinstall of p3d and I'm running win10 pro but when I get an email my notification bar keeps popping up with the notification. I never used to get this but can't for the life remember how to either always keep p3d on top or stop the notifications from popping up as its becoming a bit of a pain cheers
