Well, it's Christmas Eve Eve, just 8 and a bit days of the year left and a Sunday. Perfect time to consider what next year has in store. Hi guys, I wondered if turning off traffic and turning down sliders makes a difference to Ultimate traffic and addon sceneries. Example: FlyTampa EHAM for airports or DDesign los angeles? Maybe it makes everything duplicate and unnecessary frame drops..

Hi guys, I have used addon manager freeware tool to save my desired scenery library order for p3d 4.4 but it only works for the first time I use the game. The next times it goes back to the old and wrong order... How can I fix this?

Hi, I'm really thinking of buying a GTX 1080 or a GTX 1080ti then a 4K monitor. My GTX 1060 6GB is good and can handle even the PMDG 777 at Gatwick with 25fps! However, I get stutters. I have determined that my GTX 1060 6GB is the bottleneck causing these stutters. I can remove these an get a fluid experience by turning on V-sync and triple buffering, leaving fps on unlimed. But, I have to be achieving 60fps (because of my 60Hz monitor) meaning I can only really be smooth with no stutters at cruise. I know you can set to 1/2 refresh rate in Nvidia Inspector and I have tried that. But again it's only smooth if your PC can continuously maintain 30fps, which mine can't. It's…

Hey Now I have been trying out in a long time to solve this problem. I have very low fps even in default scenario and settings. My spec is i7 7700K 1080 16GB RAM. I have tried a lot of things but without the problem solved. In a cruise flying the QW 787, Active Sky, REX SkyForce, Chaseplane in P3D V4.4. My frames are max at 50 fps. Can anybody help me?

Hello, Just installed the new sim (4.4) on the new W10 build. Everything looks great with an exception that the sim itself is flashing while in "windowed" mode. As soon as I switch it to the Full Screen, the flashing goes away. Since it's not GPU to blame, I'm curious what this might be? Thanks for the suggestions. Dmitriy

I might be late to the party but I stumbled upon FSAerodata to update the default waypoints and such in P3D (and FSX). Supposedly this program makes the sim better since everything is up to date, it makes the airports more realistic because you can use correct SID/STAR procedures. But I do have one question to anyone who does have this program. Does it actually make the default ATC utilize ALL of the runways at an airport? Based on wind direction, time of day, flow of traffic type thing. Because currently I fly into several airports that have more than one adiquate runway, but my ATC only recognizes one runway no matter what the conditions are. So hopefully someone can co…

Hi, I want to run P3D V4 a 30Hz with v sync and fps locked at 30. I have seen many videos saying this trick removes micro stutters, however, all the monitors they use are 4K. I could probably fit a 4K monitor on my desk, but it would hurt my eyes being so close. Is there a monitor which is 1920x1080 with can run at 30HZ for flight swimming and I can change it to 60HZ when doing other things. Thanks, Ollie.

Hi, Somehow I managed to delete the default F-22 folder. 1. What is the folder name (exact text) of the default F22? 2. What other default aircraft is suitable to load when I start up P3D? Is the Fury 1500 suitable? I usually use it for checking out scenery and other quick tests. 3. Am I going to experience other issues if the F22 is deleted? I never fly it, but I know it isn't a good idea to delete default aircraft. Actually, I'm not sure if I deleted it, or if it has something to do with my testing/playing with the Beta AIG AI Manager this morning. Maybe I did a drag and drop by mistake? I'm currently running a Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1080Ti with a non OC'd i7 8700k, 16 gb of 2666 DDR4 RAM, and running P3D V4.4 on a 1tb SSD. What kind of performance boost could I reasonably expect by upgrading to an RTX 2080Ti..??

Just one question, because I´m probably a bit confused: Do we need to install BOTH Client and Content components of P3D to do the upgrade to P3Dv4.4 to allow all PBR-related add-ons to show properly in P3Dv4.4, or just the Client would be enough?. Please take into account I´m not talking about stock or default P3Dv4.4 textures, but about third-party add-ons (like the MaddogX, for instance). Cheers, Ed

Folks, I tried to search and figure this all out, but is there a quick cheat sheet on which of these things does what? It seems that REX Skyforce is the same as ENVTEX? and PTA and ENVSHADE are the same? What should I purchase and use for P3D v4.3 that will provide the best visuals and WX for the sim? On take-off and initial climb-out, which speeds does the yellow band represent on the ASI of a 757? Is it flap maneuvering speeds, stall speeds or what speeds ??? Trevor

So after my latest hardware build and loading everything up, I noticed after popping back and forth between XP11 and P3D, I noticed I have no cockpit shadows....Everything is very blah and flat looking for some reason. I do have shadows checked off but I could swear there were cockpit shadowing in P3D with the FSL bus prior to my reformat. Am I nuts or is something hosed up in my install? When I get home later I can upload a screenshot. I haven't tried any other AC as of yet.

Hello everyone, I´m new to Prepar3D and it´s a few years ago that I used FSX. I was hoping for Flight Sim World but was dissappointed with it´s closure. X-Plane couldn´t convince me so I will continue with Prepar3D over the next years. I already got some good addons for FSX but I´m sure the world moved on and there are new addons out there. So I´m just asking: a) mesh I own FS Global 2010 FTX + Ultimate Europe + Asia + Americas. As far as I can see there is FS Global 2018 Ultimate NG now. Does that contain ALL packets now? I use the default TomatoBright.ini preset, and it kind of works in P3D v4.4, but there's a few things. First, dynamic reflections are temporarily disabled, (until next update). But, the next one is something I have a problem with. Some materials just do not show up in TomatoShade. One good example of this, is the throttle on the default F-22. When you shut down the engines, the throttles disappear. Here it is: Then it's gone: You can very clearly see the shadows, but the actual throttle isn't there. Hey all, I have recently purchased the fslabs a320 for p3d. I had been holding back for a while but decided to go for it as I loaded in the first time my frames were down to an average 14 FPS. I the adjusted my setting for better performance. Even with the settings being low I still average around 19FPS at a default P3D airport! I have no tweaks to my p3d.cfg file. My specs are i7 6700K GeForce GTX 1070 16GB DDR4 ram I feel like these are pretty good I just don’t know why my frames are so bad. They stay up around 29-35 in the VC of the PMDG products. Hi, i am using aerosoft latest airbus and simbrief now. Then saving a flp into P3Dv4 folder (my pc/documents/aerosoft/airbus/flighplans) is OK, but when trying to load to MCDU it is not working. I found the cause as P3Dv4 flightplans map is referring to a map inside P3Dv4, and not the map above... when trying to change the FLP map in P3Dv4 flightplan tab, it stays grey... i can only cancel not save... any help ?

If I want to move the above aircraft from my backed up 4.3 folders into 4.4, is there a way of knowing what files from the Gauges, Textures, Effects, Sounds folders etc I need to move across.I know some of the file names are pretty obvious, but I wonder if there are others which are less so?
