Hello and happy new year, I just uninstalled my FSX to have more space for P3D and stuff, and i have noticed that some fonts (from radios and clocks, i think the quartz.tff) are gone when i fly on P3D. Meanwhile my Windows 10 just installed a new update last night but i dont believe it has to do anything with that. Is there anything i can do? I have already tried to install the quartz.tff from P3D Fonts and it didnt help. Thank you

Has this happened to you ? This morning I am very excited to check out the new Portland airport scenery so I load up a PMDG 737, Active Sky and a FP from KSFO to KPDX only to get there and find the visibility has dropped to 0.3 of a mile. I have to do an Autoland and I can't see nuttin'!!!! Jokes on me!

Hello everyone, after 10 years I am back fo flight simulations. I installed my P3D 4 on my second ssd (e:\) in the folder E:\P3D v44 as I was advised to install it on a different harddrive then 😄 I download FTX Central3 startet it and a pop up said: "select simulator" but there is none to choose. Only a close button appears and the installer shut down. I think I read about that ORBX must be installed in the default folder, but I don´t have one. Can I fix the problem? Prepar3d was unable to initialize the rendering system and was shutdown. Good evening guys, I have to ask you for help, this mistake driving me crazy. After a few days P3Dv4.4 started to give me this error, I tried with any video card driver. I have a laptop with I7 7700k, 1050TI 4gb, 16gb of ram, Win 10, DX12

I’m using P3Dv4.2 professional. Several months ago P3D began starting automatically when I boot my computer. It runs ok, but I don’t want it starting every time I boot. When I close P3D, I confirm in task manager that nothing is running before shutting down the computer. P3D still auto starts at boot up. I have removed and reinstalled the client IAW Lockheed’s instructions but it didn’t help. This behavior seemed to start after installing FSiPanel but I can’t confirm a cause and effect. I removed FSiPanel however, and it didn’t change anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Respectfully, Don

I was wondering if you can change the UI (the user interface) of P3D v4 like FSX. I know you can change the splash screen, but that's all I know you can edit. Like the "Uires" folder in FSX, you were able to replace those with custom UI "skins", but I'm not too sure if this is possible in P3D.

Whenever I start P3d, my default plane (whatever it is) accelerates rapidly, and I have to throttle up and down quickly on my joystick. This calms it down. I've tried saving my default setup even in a "cold and dark" scenario, but as soon as I start the engines, it revs up....and thus requires a quick throttle up and down to calm it. Does this happen to you when you start the sim? If you have an answer for this, I would appreciate it greatly. I just want to start the sim, and have a plane that is "un-reved". Stan

Hi guys! I have been flying P3D for 3 years now and i want to step up my game by starting to build up a "casual" home cockpit. I have laid my eyes on the MCP from VRinsight and i think i will buy it soon. Do any of you know, if it is worth it and what is up with the prices? I have looked everywhere and it costs about 500 everywhere i saw it. But on VRinsights site, it states that it costs 310 euros with free shipping? Is that possible? I don't know if this question has been addressed before (did a search with no luck), but, have you noticed that some developers do not turn on the runway or taxiway lights in daytime instrument meteorological conditions? Is there some config file that controls this? Or is this "baked into" the coding and is not configurable. It seems that they should be on in IMC. Also, haven't seen the airport beacon on in IMC in virtually all airports. Have you? Am using FSDT, Flightbeam, PacSim, and the like airports. Just curious. Many thanks! P.

Hey, I seem to be having a problem. I am on P3d V4.2 and Rex is working fine. Everything that rex (texture direct with soft clouds) installs is working except the sun!. I've tried re doing it and checking my the p3d directory in Rex and everything seems to be good . So its weird but the sun doesn't change in game. its just a circle with no effects on it.Any help would be appreciated

So the image quality in P3D v4.4 on my new BenQ is gorgeous, but there is a slight problem... In full screen mode in some of the menus, you can't see the "ok" and "cancel" buttons, you have to Alt-Enter in to windowed mode to see them, a minor inconvenience I guess, but annoying nevertheless. The change fuel/payload menu is one example, some of the others like the map menu display fine because the are smaller to begin with. I'm pretty sure this some kind of "high DPI" scaling issue, but I'm not sure what to do about it.. Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.

Today i started the process of doing a fresh install of 4.4 on a new SSD. I got the sim installed, ORBX textures then started adding some airports. I would load up the F22 at some of the airports i installed and noticed that when i got above a certain altitude the airport terminal buildings would flicker then turn black. It happens at ORBX and T2G airports, so far its all I have installed. At LOWI it happens much sooner than the other airports. All of the other buildings are fine, its just the terminal buildings. I have a 1080Ti with 16GB RAM so i dont think its a memory issue. And i never had this issue with 4.3 The only thing that changed is that im installing on a new …

Hi everybody and a happy new year belated, I wonder if following is possible: I own the WILCO Harrier GR3 for FSX, got it to run fairly in P3Dv4. Now I am planning to buy the TacPack for the latest P3Dv4 versions. I know the latest addons of Just Flight (Tornado/Hawk) but also the Milviz Phantoms are ready for TacPack. I own them both so TacPack would be a good purchase. But my most liked aircraft is the Harrier. So my question is: Can I use the FSX Harrier, usable in P3Dv4 with TacPack in P3Dv4.* ? Means, am I able to add TacPack for P3Dv4 onto it, even if it is a FSX aircraft? Thank you very much in advance...

Hi fellow flighsimmers, I just started simming and made some flights in Prepar3d v4.4. Hello This should be a simple answer for those with P3Dv4 experirnce.... I have some airport scenery innstalled in P3Dv4.4 (using manufaturers installers) that I can not move up/down in the scnery libarry (neither edit). The entries appear shaded. Curiously, those I can not edit / mode appear also as add-ons and there is where I can turn them on or off but not move up-down. The real probem I have is that those airports do not have an entry in the scenery.cfg of P3Dv4 and that creates other problems with ither apps I have that need to read the scenery.cfc file from P3Dv4.4 My questions are: (1) How can I edit/move those "fix" scenery entries …

Hello, everyone! I just have a little question. How do you place SODE jetways on old airports? I have Overland RKSI and I would like to get rid of the old static jetways (i already did with an AFCAD that replaces it with default jetways) but I would like to know how to replace those default jetways with SODE ones. I don't see anything much on the internet, and I don't know what program I need to make this possible. Keep in mind, I'm using this for personal use, as I will not be distributing this. (I'm also aware Overland is for FSX/FS9, but I'll have to wait until PacSim releases their RKSI which will be a while) -Aaron

I just got a 70 GB mesh "FS Global" and was pleasantly disappointed. The edges of taxiways at KSFO are jagged: And the deal breaker was that at RKSI, (Incheon, South Korea) was that the terrain was HEAVILY messed up. The terrain was all wibble wobbly, and I don't know what to do. (Disabling FS Global is not an option, because it would waste all the internet data i had to spend downloading this) I had to disable Overland RKSI, because it was even worse! The taxiways were raised up 30 feet in the air, and the runways were submerged with excess terrain. i didn't have a problem with FS Global in VHHX (FlyTampa) so not too sure why it looked …

Hmm, I know we all experience these kind of oddities, but regardless of research, I have failed to discover what is causing a sudden, severe decline in frames. Earlier today I decided on a short flight from KBOS across to CYUL, just a hop and a skip to test some new settings. Sat at gate 4, with 28% AI and all settings at medium, I was enjoying a decent 26-28fps and considering the Flytampa airport and surrounding autogen I was more than happy with this. I kicked off with GSX services, which all ran quite well, although frames dipped a little, but after about 10 minutes, frames dropped to a rediculous 15! They never returned to more than 18. Hi I'm a new user to P3Dv4 since half December 2018. Up till then I was using FS9 and FSX on a MSI Gaming laptop (GT62VR 7RE Dominator Pro – Core i7-7700HQ processor with 4 cores and 8 LP, GTX 1070 GPU with 8GB). Since the installation of P3Dv4, I've been experiencing during my flights regular stuttering and sudden extreme drops in frame rates from the 30's FPS to 7 or 8 FPS. I tried dialling down all the settings, even playing around with the affinity mask setting. All this to no avail! 😥 After further extensive testing, I discovered that these drops in frame rates was somehow linked to the weather.
