This one took me a while to solve - The problem is my VC camera view would be fine for about 10 flights and then would be corrupt as far as zoom and aspect ratio when I reload the saved flight. Could not be fixed. Turned out that P3D saves some camera / view settings in the scenario settings and I always use the same scenario named 'Enroute'. To get things right I only needed to delete my saved Enroute.* user files and start over. In the past this would also fix flight crashes. Regards bs

hi all hope someone have the solution, after uptading p3d from v4.1 to v4.2 cloud shadows just vanished, i have checked all for cast and recieve shadows in the sim menu, i had delated shaders, didnt work, i repair client and content and didnt work also, i unistalled and installed clinet and content and no result, i have crated a new prepar3d.cfg and also no cloud shadows...if someone had and solved the same issue pleas let me know!! thanks for your help!!!

My Saitek panels (Multi,Radio,BIP,,Switch)had been dark since I moved over from FSX. I bought Spad.next and found it was a horrible and long setup and gave up... Until I found this French simulator site with a complete and simple solution...http://www.pilote-virtuel.com/viewtopic.php?id=45834 Essentially it has a link for Spad 0.5.1version and a contributors Spad 0.7 whic is a fix for 64 bit operation. You download these two. Install Spad 0.5.1 and 0.7 in the same folder. Make a desktop shortcut for Spad 0.7 To set up you refer to the little yellow plane which appears in your tool bar. Hello, My East Coast US needs some TLC... Running Taxi2Gate's KMCO, FSDT KJFK, Fightbeam's KIAD & FlyTampa's KBOS. After recommendations for: KRSW (I think there's only one?) KMIA KATL KDCA KTPA Does anyone do this as a Region similar to Orbx on the West Coast? Any plans for them to do East? Budget no issue, no preference on a developer and preferably working with no issues on P3D v4. The last point isn't a deal breaker. Many thanks and all suggestions welcome. Mike

Alright, I need the Avsim community’s expert help! I have a situation with my P3D crashing but only during a specific scenario. Whenever I have accu-feelv2 installed, I get a crash only in the Carenado S550, if I spawn at 29Palms’ KTNP airport at any parking spot except for spawning on an actual runway. Sounds crazy right? If those conditions listed are not met, my sim does not crash. I have reinstalled the aircraft, I have reinstalled both KTNP, and Accu-feelv2 and so far nothing has worked. I made sure my permissions were in admin mode. I did contact A2A but they swear it’s not them it’s P3D. I contacted Lockheed and they swear it’s not them it’s an App (Accu-feel). I c…

My P3Dv4.4 has developed an odd error Flying during day is OK but Dusk,Night and Dawn cause planes not ot to be able able to move,-frozen on the runway! If Night turned on during a daytime flight -the plane spins out of control! Anything I could try to cure this xxd09

Hi All, im attempting a fresh install from 4.3 to 4.4. I removed the previous version by uninstalling via “Add or Remove Programs”. Once fully uninstalled I then ran the “Setup” installer in the v4.4 folder, which completed “successfully”. When I run P3D I get an error on the splash screen along the lines of, “Vehicle Initialization has failed for F22 Raptor. You will now be placed in visualtion mode”. Then, when Loading scenario it will crash at 83% while loading global weather. This has happened 5x after re-installing again, restarting, etc. regardless of aircraft, location, time of day. any help is much appreciated!

I know everyone gives me constant flack for being negative and critical, (which I admit I am), but I just want to post this topic to praise the Vertx 2 Diamond. Just WOW. I am always skeptical of buying addons, and I decided to give this one a try. It is truly in it's own league...the visuals are STUNNING. I switched back to a carenado aircraft and the Flight1 B200 and I was like WHAT IS THIS PLASTIC? Lol... For anyone on the fence... coming from me,.. get it. And it's at such a reasonable price.

I know this annoying problem coming from ancient ages for sim world, i have this problem for my vagar(EKVG) airport, i have to say that it is a stock airport. I have orbx global, open LC europe, ut live. I tried with different camera programs but no help. Any fix for this problem? thanks.

Eyepoint too close to panel to see all instrument. Zoom has small range. Moving eyepoint back doesn’t improve this. I have span three screens enabled. Any suggestions on what settings to change?

Hi guys, have a simple (but important) questio about Tomato and default shaders of the sim, in my case p3d 4.4. Well...When install tomato first time, with fresh p3d installation, tomato create backup of shaders hlsl folder and on screen have a all functions of tomato without flag. Well, if want only (for example) enable Rayligh scattered effects, the others shaders remain on default 4.4 or disable from tomato? Thanks Gianluca

I just purchased P3d V4.4 a couple of days ago. I'm wondering where I put library objects, AFCADS/ sceneries and Mess. In FSX there was Addon scenery. I know that like Flightbeam, FSDT create their own folders. I have the latest ADE, but don't know where to put them. And I have all of my library objects I use for FSX there. I didn't see any kind of manual. How do those who has been using p3d for a long time have theirs setup?

Along the new update (2.0) we finally got the cargo model of this beautiful (and very well simulated) old bird. A great product IMHO. When I load up the MV F-4 (any variant) the game loads, then tries to load the gauges, then crashes. I look at event viewer, and it's a KERNELBASE.dll, looked at the CTD guide, and it's a system file error. But, before i tried to install the F-4 J/S the F-4E worked fine, and I deleted the MV_WX.dll, because with that gauge installed, it crashes as soon as I press "ok", but when I delete it, it only crashes about 3 seconds of loading the F-4.

P3D v4 finally removed that 4Gb VAS limit that must have been so frustrating for developers. Now they can add many more objects and not have to worry about memory running out. Having recently bought Milan Malpensa I was hoping for a spectacular airport but if I’m honest I don’t see a huge difference from earlier versions. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky or I’m expecting too much and there are plenty of airports exclusively for v4 that will be impressive. Do others share my view or can you recommend any airports that genuinely are ground-breaking?

Hi Folks, I am a long time X-plane user, I am an avid flight simmer, although I have used X-plane since version 9, I had heard that Prepar3d had gone to 64bit and I was intrigued to check it out. I have seen several youtube video's and it looked pretty good so I decided that I would check it out. I purchased the licence and installed yesterday. It took a bit for me to configure my controls etc but I finally got that done. The first thing that I noticed as I did my first flight, which was a vfr flight from my home airport CPR5, is that everything looks the same as it does in fsx. I am thinking about purchasing MK Studios Tenerife, but I would like to know what current users think of this scenery package. The airport itself looks good, but I am curious about the quality of the textures on the autogen buildings and 3D custom models in the surrounding area.......

I've been thinking about a VR headset but having tried one at a demo show, I do find them rather claustrophobic and my spectacles got in the way too. I know this seems bizarre, but lately I've been training myself to use eyes only to merge stereo images to get a really quite impressive 3d image. At first I thought it would be harmful or create some permanent damage, but I feel no ill affects at all and can now almost instantly switch on and off. At first it is difficult to eliminate the two outside images so as to concentrate on the "middle" combined image, but it gets easier and easier the more I practice. I have GSX plus the second module and when I request a fuel load for my Carenado PC-12 and Xtreme Solutions Learjet 25 a strange thing is happening. The fuel is being loaded but the payload fields are being changed by GSX. It's being investigated by Umberto but I wonder if others could check if it's happening to their aircraft. Just request a fuel load and check your payload fields before and after the fuel has finished being loaded. For the technical, you can monitor ZFW (Basic Weight + Payload) as follows. Hi guys, wondering if anyone else came across this issue. Seems very weird and I have tried everything I can think of to remedy. Basically if I am in any aircraft sitting still I have full rudder and steering movement. Once I start to taxi it’s like the rudder pedals lock up and will not do anything. Looking at the pedals shows very slight movement. So basically the only way to steer is to use the toe brakes or set up the steering tiller axis in FSUIPC. I use a CH eclipse yoke with Saitek rudder pedals. 1. Same issue with A2A 182 and Cherokee, Majestic q400, and default Maule. These are the only ones I have tried but assume it effects all aircraft. 2. …
