Hey all. In my never-ending quest to find a long-range biz jet for P3D sim world (since none exist) I was wondering: There is the IRIS Global which was 1st released as an Easter Egg for FSX. Some clever folks have updated it, pretty sure got it working in P3D (I'm running V3.4 currently, planning to move to 4.4 here at some point). The IRIS Global has a default CRJ cockpit which is ok, but VERY limited. So I was wondering- would it be possible to use the Aerosoft CRX700X cockpit with the IRIS Global exterior? Would need the EICAS to read different fuel values & engine parameters (Air.file?) but could this be done? I'd be more than happy to purchase the CRJ just …

To anyone who owns the VRInsight Instrument Radio Stack; should it light up as soon as the power supply is switched on, or when VRiSim is running? VRiSim recognises my Radio stack, but nothing lights up on the panel except the RX TX lights at the bottom left (they flicker a bit). I was wondering if the power supply is faulty. What is the correct voltage of the power supply that comes with it?

Hey Guys, i purchased Pilot`s LEAL a fantastic Airport i pass by with my car nearly every year when we travel down near elche for vacation 🙂 But i have a issiue with GSX and the SODE jetways at LEAL. I thougt GSX can control SODE Jetways? Because i always have to dock the Jetways manualy via SODE Menu? Is this standard or a problem of GSX or Pilot`s ? brgds

I installed the add on worked fine the first time , really liked the result, since the first flight everytime I launch it Prepar3d v4.4 crashes. Does anyone know if there are compatibility issue's with the latest version of Prepar3d. I don't know where or if logs are installed sorry if the info is vague. I am very new to Prepar3d. Thanks

New PC (specs in sig) running P3D v4.3. With the aircraft at cruise I brought up the Task Manager and switched to the Performance tab. I expected to see the CPU running at it's maximum overclocked speed of 5.0Ghz. But it was only around 4.3Ghz. Why? Is that utility a valid check of CPU speed or should I be using something else?

Why is the haze layer near the horizon so obvious at sunrise or sunset? If I look towards the Sun, there is this clearly visible "dark bar" that extends up from the horizon. Real world haze layers do not look like that. How do I get rid of it without switching to "Unlimited visibility" (which is unrealistic)?

The default camera for VR has a instant delay when panning in the VR. I referred to the SDK and found that by changing the SmoothPanTime in Cameras.cfg to 3.0 or 4.0 panning was much nicer. Regards bs

I am thinking to buy the Coronado FA50EX to install and my PREPAR3D fs Can anyone tell me if I can fly the FALCON 50 EX plane using the PREPAR flight plan creation process: FLIGHT PLANNER/ SELECT : DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL AIRPORTS/IRF/VOR TO VOR/CRUISING ALTITUDE /SAVE AND LOAD and the flight plan will be loaded automatically on the plane ( I use the Mooney acclaim withG1000) I then click on ATC and follow the instructions to reach the destination airport Since I am not a super expert, I found that creating a flight plan with PREPAR , following the ATC commands using the AP for ALT,VS and SP and then setti…

SO i just got this new rig up and running after close to 3 years no sim,, new set up I7 8700 @5.1 and a 1080 ti 4k 55" TV and two 17" screens for other programs. i just took a flight from KSFO to KSAN in the 777 and was getting around 35 frames at altitude but landing i dropped down to 14FPS i have no airports installed for SO cal but i do have orbex SO Cal installed. I did not tweek anything and i am not running full sliders as a matter of fact i was getting better frames on my old system. Any ideas ? this should be able to give me 30 FPS steady no?

Hi everybody I have a problem with the Aircraft reflection profiles of Tomatoshade. No matter what profile I install I get a black model. As my shaders were corrupted I reinstalled the client to get the default shaders. Then I applied my PTA preset followed by Tomatoshade. I only use Tomatoshade for the felections nothing else, so PTA and Tomatoshade shouldn't interfere with each other. Then I loaded all the models in the DynamicReflectionMaker. As soon as I start up the sim all aircraft are black. I have Dynamic Reflections turned on in the sim and URP is disabled. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

So who has the best KDCA for P3D v4.4...?? I'm assuming it's probably Drzewiecki Design..?? Any other alternatives..??

Hi guys, Recently, I bought a trackhat and installed it right away. Unfortunately, it's very clumsy.. I'll try to sum up the points; Forward doesn't work(I can't ''bend' over to check for taxiing but going backwards does work very abruptly Sideways works except I basically have to move so much I'm almost not in my room anymore I think combining these two issues creates another issue: it's just not doable to look over for the upper panels or close in on instruments/displays.. I used the simconnect sp1 in the trackhat application and tried setting my position which is pretty off place(The position of the clip is very awkwardly ziptie…

New system and first time install of P3Dv4. Have two 2TB SSD drives, so not clear whether to install P3Dv4 on the system drive C: or on the other drive D: Does it matter? Ive also seen recommendations to not use the default file path and use a custom folder off the root like C:\P3Dv4 instead. Does it matter?

Hi Can anyone recommend a way of following AI outside the simulator ? I would like the list that is in P3D, in views, outside the sim, so I can follow any aircraft listed. I use live traffic and no flightplan packages vis realtraffic and PSXseecon. Thanks

Just posted in the FSX forum a short reaction to my first flight in the Golden Age Simulations Stearman. It works in P3D V2, 3, and 4 too. If you're interested in real flying, flying like it used to be, you won't find a better bird. I flew biplanes for 16 of the 50 years I've been flying in real life and was thrilled with how realistic and immersive this aircraft is. My comments here

I'm pretty new to weather add-on software for Prepar3D. What's the difference between these? Rex SkyForce 3D Rex Texture Direct Rex Soft Clouds From what I've read, I'm guessing that SkyForce 3D "injects" cloud textures into its own weather engine (that displays the weather in the sim), or sends them to ActiveSky (which is only a weather engine). Does Rex Texture Direct do textures on airport runways? Do the textures have to be "injected" into either SkyForce 3D or ActiveSky? So i have a new pc set up,, i installed P3d and all the orbex and other addons in a separate Drive from windows.. during overclock windows got corrupted and i had to reinstall. all the p3d stuff is still in the other drive along with addons do i need to do a full reinstall ? Thanks Lee

Hi all, Since the issues with UTL updates are well documented, and manually modifying UTL look like a complicated task, I was wondering if I couldn't address issues like missing airlines/empty airports by installing some AIG packages. Hello everybody. I'm trying to setup P3D with OBS. Currently just for recording and perhaps streaming later (few months I suppose). Unfortunately I can't seem to set it up correctly, I only see black screen... I tried these things: Set it up as "Game capture". I chose specific window and then P3D. Got black screen. "Window capture". The weird thing is that I don't even see every window that I have opened. I chose P3D and again, black screen. "Display capture". My short test flights at dawn in P3D v4 have revealed an issue with the terrain textures. I use the Horizon VFR Photographic Scenery, and I have noticed that the terrain textures underneath and closely surrounding my plane when in flight are brighter than the adjacent textures. It seems to be related to the higher resolution terrain textures being loaded as I move towards them.....and it also seems to be related to the position of the Sun (which is generally rising in that darker layer of haze near the horizon at the time of my flights). These "brighter" textures are generally visible a short distance ahead of my plane when I am flying towards the Sun at this time of the …
