Is there something that can be set up that would allow to detect crashes for hard landings, etc. but not hitting object while on the ground? I hate when I push back and a GSX truck drives behind the plane and causes a crash but I would love to know if I crash on a hard landing or something pilot related (not that I want to crash). Also, is there a default landing rate in P3d that would detect/cause a crash? Thanks

Hi, I have the Fly the Maddog X, and there is a problem with the start switch that does not stay nor remain in the hold down position as it should when I click on it. Every video I watched on youtube demonstrating the start procedure in the Fly the maddogX shows that the switch was click on and it remains in the hold down position after the mouse button is released. The manual does not specify what to do with this switch but I assume you click on it. I can click on it but when I release the mouse button, the switch returns back to the off position. I can hold the start switch down with the mouse, but there is no way to go to the throttle view to engage the fuel. All the…

Hi. I'm having a basic problem with using the ATC give me an alternate runway to land at. I'm trying to land at Gran Canaria. The airport has 2 runways heading in the same direction. When it always tells me to land on the left runway it's annoying - there's a hill before it and I keep crashing. If I was allowed to land on the right runway, I think I would make it. The problem is that when I request the different runway from ATC, they say something odd- it sounds like it's saying I can proceed to the right runway, but I am only cleared to land at the left, like before. How do I let atc Allow me to land at a different runway than it originally chose for me? …

Hello, I am having problems installing the QW787 reflection profiles into P3dV4. I have installed my Fslabs textures with no problem and they are working fine. the problem is when i select a profile for the QW and press save, I get an error saying 'cannot create file (C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\QualityWings 787-8\model.RR\QW788_RR_P3D.mdl) access is denied' I have tried changing my security settings and disabling 'Read Only' in the WQ model folder but still does not work. any ideas? thanks

Hello I have installed ReShade as per the instructions on various sources. I use NVI to limit my FPS to 30, 1/2 Refresh Rate, TB and Adaptive V Sync. In P3D I have V Sync and TB turned off with unlimited FPS. Prior to ReShade I had no tearing. After installing ReShade I see tearing when panning around the VC using the settings above. If I reset my P3D profile in NVI and enable V sync, TB and limit to 32FPS in P3D and have ReShade installed, there is no tearing. Hi guys, For those of you who are using Ultimate Traffic Live - I was wondering if there's any solution to this particular problem: in South Africa, Johannesburg International was renamed to OR Tambo international a few years ago. The ICAO also changed from FAJS to FAOR. In addition to this, FADN (Durban International) was closed and a new airport FALE (King Shaka International) was opened nearby. UTL doesn't see either of these two airports, however. P3D natively still seems them as FAJS and FADN, but if you install payware airports it changes the ICAO codes within P3D correctly to FAOR and FALE, respectively. Hi All I have a reasonably powerful machine which does the business with P3D v4.4 However replays of the flights always seem to be very stuttered I like to reobserve landings and I do get a reasonable picture but is there something I could do to make my replays smoother? xxd09

Hello everyone. My friends and I all play on Air Hauler. We all like to fly our own aircraft, and this has worked out fine until recently. I have become very interested in joining in on their cargo routes, because they make quite a bit more money than my PAX routes. Only problem is, they both have the best options for a cargo plane. One has the 747, and the other the 777. I'm not afraid of cost. I just want to see what my options are. I want them to be avaliable for P3D V4, and have pretty decent range + Cargo capacity. Hi Everyone, I just did my first every attempt on rnav approach in my simulation experience and it was pretty amazing. I was using PMDG 777-200LR into RWY 07R of OPKC airport when in the unforeseen event the visibility had reduced on me to 700 m in the middle of afternoon daylight. Probably it was the city pollution and dust that had kicked in. After following couple of youtube videos instruction (Captain Nav videos was very helpful) I managed to successfully land the plane. Yesterday Nov.20. my P3D v4 was working fine. This morning Nov 21, I find that Windows has updated overnight and now my P3D will not start at all. Anyone any ideas on what Microsoft have changed or what has happened? Ian Harrison

Having been a long time and diehard PTA fan, I've given up on waiting for updates. Does anyone watch Matt D's streams and if so has he said anything about updates? He seems more interested in his PPL these days (which of course is fine), but you can never trust the continuity of the products. Seems to be much more going on in the tomato salad bowl.

Hi, I can hear the collective groans...but wait, this might be something different and unrelated to those phenomena hitherto attributed to long frames, stutters/micro-stutters, pauses/extended pauses. Ever since updating (Client, Content and Scenery) from 4.3 -> 4.4 I have been aware of barely discernible hesitations occurring at 3 second intervals. When present, these destroy that sensation of fluidity in flight and threaten to compromise that much sought after sense of immersion. Does anyone know of any way to edit the colour of the actual sun texture and corona so that it changes based on time of day? E.g: during sunrise and sunset the disk of the sun is red/orange and gradually gets more yellow to white at noon. Is there some kind of shader than can be tweaked?

Hi there, So I've installed PTA and now my clouds have this weird Pixelated/Oily look to them. I've restored Shaders and it fixes it until I load another PTA preset in again. I've tried to delete my Shaders file located in %appdata%, my ShadersHLSL and repaired the P3D client to rebuild ShadersHLSL and also deleted by P3D cfg, however still no luck. It even got to a point where I decided to do a complete reinstall of P3D v4 but no luck. Anyone able to help? I have been using VoiceAttack for years with P3D and all the other flight sims and I find it invaluable particularly with VR. I also have used SPAD.next with all my Saitek hardware to assign buttons and switches etc. There exists a SPAD.next plug in for VoiceAttack to be able to access complex LVars commands in SPAD.next using any of my VoiceAttack commands which can be very useful for aircraft like PMDG or my A320. Recently I upgraded all my old Saitek hardware to higher quality hardware and no longer use SPAD.next which was primarily designed for Saitek equipment. Hi guys, I recently bought a setup consisting of saitek's pro flight yoke system, 1 additional quadrant USB and pedals. In P3d 4.4 everything works fine except for some buttons on the yoke and the quadrants(doesn't work except for the first lever as throttle for all engines).. Playing with FSUIPC and control settings didn't help me at all.. any how to's? EDIT: I forgot to mention that my levers isn't recognized except for the reverses button and the buttons below the levers..

Hello All! I like to fly real world route and I have been using Flightaware to search for flights. However, Is there any way to just search by aircraft type? I would want to see all upcoming scheduled flights for B752s for example. With Flightaware you can't do that so I wanted to see if anyone knew a way to do this. Thanks!

Hi, during the installation of your FS Global Ultimate Next Generation product (download version), I found a problem. At the end of the installation of the program he produced a report telling me that he had found an error during the installation. I note that I downloaded the individual zip files and checked before the extraction that the hash code was correct on each one. In fact, during the extraction did not find errors. Currently the installed folder of the program (FSGU_NG) occupies only 52gb compared to 80gb downloaded from zip files. I do not think it's normal. Has anyone encountered such an error? Is there a list anywhere of the aircraft that "natively" support the Rex Milviz WX radar in the virtual cockpit i.e. without having to manually modify the panel files? It looks like a number of the Milviz planes come with the Wx radar already built in, but are other manufacturers supporting it out of the box? Thanks, Alistair

Dear: Just now I downloaded/installed Little Nav Map (LNP). I made a flight plan in the LNP and saved the same as .PLN in the Docs\P3D v4 Files. But I can't 'see' it in the Flight Plan Catalog of Vertxsim DA62 G1000. Kindly help. Haseen Ahmad.
