I always set CPU to 1 in the F1 Config tool. For added smoothness and better response time try opening task manager and setting the priority on the details tab for the GTN to High. As usual, you mileage may vary. Cheers bs

I ran the airport updating tool to modernize the airports in P3d4. That worked great, except ATC doesn't know about it. For example, I fly into KFLL a lot, and ATC keeps wanting me to land on rwy31, which no longer exists. If I request one that actually exists, it sets me up for the approach and then wants me to circle to land on 31. Any way to edit a file to remove runways from ATC? Thanks

One of my major annoyances with P3D is how the cloud shadows pop in and out of view depending on where you look. This is so immersion killing...! Will LM ever do something about this? Just had this happening again (as in every flight I do) while taxiing: you are covered in shadows, you look sideways for 1 millimeter (I use TrackIR) and the shadows are gone completely. Sooooooo annoying. Check these screenshots and imaging the change happening instantly and constantly when looking left and right. Again, I really hope LM will have another look at this some time...

Wondering if anyone has made an updated AFCAD for the KSMO in the Orbx NA Airports Pack to reflect the new layout. As some of you guys may have heard the runway at KSMO was shortened to 3500ft, 750ft on either end, in an effort to curb jet traffic ahead of the airport's planned closure in 2028. New Taxiways have been added to the new runway starting points and taxiways leading up to the old runway end points have been closed and decommissioned. There is a ton of info available online of what was done at KSMO for anyone with the know how to do the modification. Thanks!

Hi all, I have been looking for an aircraft at a reasonable price point to buy along with chase plane. The two I have decided are the PMDG 747-8 or the CS 757 base pack. I know the prices are very similar but I am torn. If I could get some info on why to buy and which one and why that would be great. Thanks!!! Simon S.

Hello, flying the A320 lately I'm not 100% sure if I'm landing the 787 correctly. On the A320 I need to set back the thrust from climb detent to zero on flare. Is it obligatory to push the autothrust disengage button before pulling the thrustlevers to zero during flare with the 787? Thanks! Best regards Andreas

I have tested a few high quality free airports that work great in P3Dv4 These are all Australia and I am also using Orbx Australia. Ants Airports Ballina ( YBNA ) in Northern New South Wales. Its an hours flight north of Sydney and is serviced daily by Virgin Australia using 737-800 & E190 and Jetstar with A320's. I think its on pair with Orbx airports. Ants Aussie airports is another great one. It contains 33 Airports across the country. My favorite is the outback town of Longreach ( YLRE ). When I attempt to enter a flight plan in P3Dv4 Navigation/FlightPlanner/load and hit browse to find the following - C:\Users\Your name\Documents\Aerosoft\Digital Aviation CRJ\FlightPlans - no flight plans are available. If searching on windows 10 all flight plans are shown. How can I fix this? Thank you. Rolf

I just updated to P3Dv4.3 using the client only install (I uninstalled the 4.2 Client and deleted the Shader file first) and upon loading the 64bit Maddog MD82, I get the error: "This version of Fly The Maddog X requires SimConnect V4.2" and P3D turns off. Is this a known problem that is being patched or did I do something wrong?

Isn't there a function of GSX that allows you to hit "start" and all of the fueling, boarding, catering, etc. will happen automatically without having to request each individual thing to start? I know I would have to open the doors and whatnot but I thought there was some sort of automated setting. I am on the version of GSX that doesn't have the people simulated, but am on the latest update (meaning I am up to date with the software but didn't buy the new features). I thought I read on the latest update you have this as an option but when pulling up the menu I didn't see it. Is this something that can happen or did I misunderstand something? I have been using this app for some time and always ignored it (run in the background) once I've set the flight up, but I've just tried a flight and it P3D brought me down (and other AI aircraft down) to what is the wrong runway - the built-in ATC end up sending me and the AI aircraft to the runway with 24 knots tailwind at the time! On the setup, I simply start the Active Sky app, go the the Flight Plan tab, click load, and load the flight plan I created using SimBrief. To be honest, I'm not bothered about the weather, I just want P3D's ATC to use the correct runway when I'm about to runway to takeoff or land. Yes I am using prepar3dv4 as my simulator, and have just installed the QualityWings 787 as well as my existing PMDG 747-400 When I use the 747, all my flight plans were created with PFPX and stored in the Prepar3d/pmdg/flight plans folder as .RTE files. I wish to use these flight plans with the new 787. So I copied these .RTE flight plans across to the Prepar3d/QualityWings/QW787/Flight plans folder. Hi Folks! All of a sudden P3dv4.1 crashes at the start menu when opening the options menu. If I don't try to run options and just load a scenario it loads fine. Tried all of the trouble shooting steps just short of reinstalling. Reinstalled client. Even went so far as deleting the generated files. Nothing seems to correct the issue. Hello: What is the correct way to load payware airplanes? My normal routine is to start the sim on the home screen with a default airplane, load my route, set my time/date and than load the scenario. After the scenario loads, I select my "vehicle" (the payware A/C I want to use) and than fly. Is this not correct? Thank you.

Hi guys, I am here to get some opinions on chaseplane... I really am only looking to get it for the cockpit movements.. I really don't care about different angles for filming or anything. I had Edzok but what I hated about edzok was it was always buggy, hard to configure, and always seemed to conflict with everything and was just messy. Is chaseplane better and worth it? My event log from AppCrashView has dozens of SimObjectDisplayEngine.exe errors all with same signature, StackHash_2beb and stack corruption 0xc0000005 error code. I have been using SODE 1.6.3 since released earlier this year without noticing these errrors. They do not result in a P3D crash, it is the exe and not the dll that is crashing I think. Anybody else notice this before?

Hi i am moving to p3d v4 with my: PC Specs I5 8600K @4.7Ghz GTX 1060 6GB 8GB RAM 128GB SSD 2TB HHD I know P3D v4 is 64 bit so it stops OOMS. On the website, it says I need 16GBs? 16 ******* that's a lot! Is this true or can I run fine? Do be aware I have put up with FSX for years so if I get the occasional stutter I wouldn't care. hi all, with the sales going on at the moment i am considering to buy KSEA. should i go with the Taxi2Gate or Drzewiecki version? i have a hard time finding comparisons on the net (i am aware that you get more than one airport with the latter, however i will only be using KSEA either way). maybe one of you has used both versions and can share some experience? thanks you!
