I have a problem in that my SODE jetways are just not appearing in P3Dv4.5, having installed the latest version. Two issues I've noted that if I open the SODE platform manager and register SODE, it allows me to so this, but if I close it and re-open it reverts back to being not registered. The other issue I have is that in my C:/ProgramData/12bPilot/SODE i have a SimObjects folder containing all my addons with jetway models within. There is also a xml folder containing a xml file for each airport, however my sim does not seem to recognise or find either of these folders? Any suggestions? thanks Ian

Trying to install PMDG 747 base package into P3D v4.51 and getting the following message Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show any location information for either P3D v3 or P£D v4 Please install a simulation then run the installer again. My simulator pat D:\Lockheed MartinPrepar3D v4\Prepar3D v4 Not keen on playing with the registry, is there any other way please Thanks Frank

Cannot install the thing. Looks like it wants to put it in p3d on my C drive. That is a problem because p3d is on my D drive and the setup does not allow me to choose the install path. That is a bad start! Very disappointing. Eric

Terminals are missing. There may be other airports with this problem, but I am experiencing it with KATL and KORD. I am running Windows 10, Home Edition. P3DV4.5, with latest update. Also have Orbx Global, Vector. Ran Vector config, to make sure elevations weren't a problem. Have not had this particular problem with any other airports. GSX 2 installed. Hi, I've been flying offline for quite a long time, but the empty world is becoming a little boring for me. I definitely want to buy the Ultimate Traffic Live, as it looks like the best traffic add-on currently available. But I feel like only a traffic add-on won't be very useful because I will have no idea about the surrounding traffic (no ATC). So I want an ATC software that will control the UTL traffic. What is the best combo for P3D 4.5 at the moment? Thanks, Tomas

Hi! I brought yesterday "Aspen extended" Version 1.2 from Aerosoft vor P3D V4.5 (with Hotfix) When I set Aspen with the confg tool to Winter texture and the date to 01.02.2018 I find around Aspen these strange green textures, they do not look like winter scenery. I think I saw some YouTube Videos about "Aspen extended" wich did not had this issue. "Aspen extended" is on top of the Scenery library. I am using: P3D V4.5 (with Hotfix) UTX USA V2 GEX (Ground Environment) FSGlobal Next Generation by Pilots ORBX NA Areas (like South and North California, but this area around Aspen is not covered by them) …

Hi, I have Windows10, P3D4.5 and have just purchased RealityXP After installation I have referenced the owners manual, and Add-Ons is not appearing after my Help Menu option, and I cannot configure RealityXP for any aircraft. It is showing as installed and I enabled it when installing it, but just no luck in getting it to work or appear. I am stumped, I installed RealityXP for Xplane11 with no issues whatsoever. Does anyone know what I can do? Has this happened to anyone? John

Hello guys, it is known that addon airports mostly come with theyr own mesh and LOWI is one of those stunning sceneries including surroundings. Pilots new mesh does interfere with ORBX LOWI due to the 2 "overlapping" meshes. They tend to fight eachother and some nasty terrain popping does occure including some small areas with floating buildings. Does anyone know which .BGL area has to be turned off from FSGUNG so that the ORBX mesh could take over? All references I found were related to older Pilots mesh products. Thank you.

What controls the ground people in P3D? I don't see them anymore. Is that a P3D feature? If so - where in settings is it. Or is it an add on scenery such as FlyTampa, FSDT, GSX, Imaginesim. I have it all installed on P3D (latest version) but I don;t see ground crews by my aircraft anymore. Any Advice? Maybe my settings are not right in P3D??

Hey, I have downloaded all the files from AIG and just running it. It is awesome. Freeware and planes everywhere. At times at a passenger terminal, I am seeing a UPS Cargo there (KSAN) and at KDCA I am seeing tons of AA planes on Terminal C where Southwest planes are. I thought all these planes were close to Real world plans? If the fix is long and complicated, I will skip. I just want everything automatic and easy to go as my time is extremely limited. Any ideas?

Hey guys. I figured that if anybody could help with ihis, it would be someone here. I salvaged an FSX Realair Duke B-60 from an old external hardrive. Understandably one of my favorite twins of all time. Still flies great in P3D v.4 and those twin pistons still have that growl. Sadly she has no exterior lights. Nothing, no navs, landing, or beacon. Can somebody help me fix what is missing in this old bird? Maybe something in the config file? Thanks, Eric

Hey guys, For most of the time I have no issues at all, but yesterday I installed UTlive (again and not sure why and not sure if this caused the problems), but I am unable to run the SIM. Actually, I installed, made one flight, closed the SIM and few HRS latter decided to make another one, chose NGX again and APT and I got just black screen....forever, not even loading scenery, objects and regular stuff. Since I installed utLive few hrs earlier I decided to remove and try again thinking that might be a culprit, but same thing happened. In PAO I could see SimObject (under packages) in RED(?!) but I am not able to delete the from there and there is no folder Fli…

Hi all, I know it may not be xmas yet, but i feel the need for more freighter in my life. I currently fly mostly pax and sometimes cargo. However, i feel like i lack one thing: a US cargo hub. Now, FSDT offers a not so expensive product (actually two) In one hand, we got KMEM, with tons of features and definetely a lot of routes with fedex. There is some pax activity with DAL too. In the other hand, we got KSDF with the ups team. Since there's no real proper md-11 or 767 in v4 i fly the 747 and 777 and eventually the ugh-like CLS dc-10. What should I get?? Happily running P34.5 -all working includes MV WX Radar in Milviz planes Did all the Hot fix up dates and installed Hotfix Screen half loads and stops-sim crashes Uninstalled Hotfix and reinstalled P3D4.5 All good again except activating MV WX Radar now crashes sim If Radar disabled in Milviz Plane they fly OK A bit stuck what to try next (Posted this to Rex and Milviz) xxd09

First of all thank for the help, I’m currently using p3d v4.5 with an Asus ROG monitor at 2K resolution. The sim runs smooth at 45-60 FPS. Last night I wanted to try my 4K Samsung TV as monitor for my PC and everything is fine except for the fact that my 1080TI is always boosted at 100% and after a while it starts heating up to much. Even using a 2K resolution it still runs at 100%. With my ASUS monitor GPU usage was at around 50-60%. Is there any reason why? I also tried to turn off AA an FXAA but no changes....GPU still at 100% all time

I fly only GA equipment - A2A C182, RealAir Turbine Duke, Just Flight Piper Arrow, etc. within P3D v4.5 and I wondered if any of you have any suggestions as to the best add-on ATC program to use. Obviously, with this kind of 'flying', SIDs and STARs are unnecessary and most of the flight planning capacity in the likes of ProATC and others is again unnecessary for me but I would like to get away from the default ATC. I appreciate that there's also on-line ATC like VATSim and IVAO but I'd like to get used to just talking to the computer before I start talking in the 'real' world. Any ideas anyone? Cheers

Hey, Once again Rex hasn't fixed their precipitation sounds so I'm looking for a decent replacement. I've tried the ones from k-akai.blogspot, his HQ Rain & Thunder sounds I to IV and they always disappoint me. Bit too loud and way too much treble, though his thunder sounds from pack 3 are exquisite. Could anyone recommend me a decent set of precipitation sounds, a set they've actually tried and confirmed to be decent and natural sounding? I've come across quite a few badly mastered and put together replacements now... Thanks.

Does anyone know why there is an fps drop in p3dv4 when switching from "unlimited" to say, locked 30? I know, I know, the obvious answer is "because you changed the setting to a lower fps." 😄 Ha, yes. True. But I mean something different. I'll illustrate by using an example... Last week, I did a flight into Flightbeam's KMSP. While on the ground, sitting at the gate, with an "unlimited" frame rate set, I was getting about 35-40 fps. It consistently stayed over 35 fps. When I changed that setting to lock it at 30 fps, it actually dropped to about 25 fps, was more choppy and would never touch 30 fps anymore. Why could I get a buttery smooth 35-40 fps with a…

Hello everybody, Altough i'm more than 20 years into flight simming, i've never had a question to post. Thanks to this community every question i've ever had, has been solved by Avsim. But now i need your advice! I ( think I ) have a pretty good system to run P3DV4 but since I've had some scenery updates P3DV4 is not working so fluently any more, I have stutters ( not all the time - but sometimes also when flying ). So I was wondering if I could upgrade my system a little bit. I would appreciate your advice for better performance. My question is, should I buy more memory or should I go for a new graphics card?
