Hi All, Currently I run Active Sky / PFPX / Avivlasoft EFB / Navigraph Charts etc on a separate computer using Simconnect & WideServer. if I was to install these on my P3D computer but using a separate Hard drive, would I still require Simconnect & WideServer? Thanks Jason

F22 specs say F22 should do Mach 2.25. But my P3D version will only do Mach 1.6, regardless of altitude,even in a dive. Am I doing something wrong?

HI everyone. After looking at the P3D SDK web site, my brain has almost shut down... Where to start... it is very complicated for me, a beginner to modifying bits n bobs.. so having looked at several youTube videos, in particular those found at Almost Aviation, I am inspired.... but cannot find the answers to my questions below and not being accustomed to DIY gauge building, I thought it best to ask after searching all week end and not really getting anywhere. I had not noticed this problem before until last evening when I was planning to do a flight on VATSIM (only my second attempt) from Calgary International (CYYC) and ATIS had indicated the active runways were 17R and 17L. Then I discovered that Little NavMap and also AivlaSoft EFB only show one north/south runway 34/16. I realize that both of those addons get their data from P3D and that's what they are reporting. So after my flight I checked FltPlnGO, SimBrief as well as SkyVector and they show the correct two north/south runways (35L/17R and 35R/17L). Anyone know of freeware for the new Atlanta stadiums? Prepar3d v4.5 still has the old Georgia Dome and what was Turner Field, but not the new stadiums that opened in 2017.

Hello all Just installed DD's Liverpool and have noticed that many (perhaps all) of the textures that are potentially in shadow are very dark, almost black - see below with all cars showing 'black' textures: However, the textures aren't black as they will show colour depending upon the viewpoint. Just wondering if this is related to the fact that the airport is using PBR materials - if so, any advice on what can be done to improve the situation ? Regards

I updated my P3D to 4.5, to the latest revision. After I loaded the program, with no issues, I noticed that my wireless keyboard, or normal keyboard, seems to have changed its own keystrokes or lost a lot of its functionality altogether. Also the throttle settings from my FDS TQ, using FSUIPC5, that has calibrated OK, have a minimum idle setting of 52%, although the throttle is wanting, from the engine screen, to take it back to the normal idle. Whilst the program is running, if I go into windows, and look at any files, if you click on a file in a folder, it highlights everything above it, and will if you click on it, it opens or activate every file above t…

I have three orbx airports that do not recognize parking. What I mean by that is, whenever I land and get a taxi clearance to my GA parking spot, I follow the arrows (yes I know I’m still learning how to navigate on the ground lol) to the designated spot my sim wants me to shut down. I position my aircraft right dead center of the last arrow and creep up towards the spot. We all know that with the default ATC once you reach your spot the ATC window will transition from taxi configuration to a default parking configuration to where you can taxi to a fuel pump, or choose to take back off VFR. Hello! i have a problem with p3d v4. No matter what airport or plane my p3d v4.5 freezes/stutters for about 3 seconds twice on takeoff then is buttery smooth for the rest. Any ideas anyone?

I can’t seem to start the engines on the aerosoft a319 professional. When I use the Ctrl+E shortcut it works but starting then conventianally doesn’t seem to work for me. Could there be anything key in the provcedure I’m missing as I haven’t flown the Airbus in a while but other than that I don’t know why I have the issue? thanks

Can this be overcome? I use Rex SF3D, PTA2.66, EnvDir, ASCA. SF3D weather engine disabled. Using only SF3D cloud textures. I land at an airport which is clearly drenched in sunshine, and seconds after I land, I'm often plunged into gloomy shadows. I'm expecting this has to do with cloud shadows. If so, I assume the cloud shadow edges are a binary on/off switch for how they affect the lighting, which is a shame, cos the clouds themselves look soft edged enough. Is there a way to improve this, or to avoid the sudden changes?

If I have my engines on or above idle all aircraft in p3d shakes and I’ve noticed on pmdg and other aircraft it’s the landing gear please help I cannot play as it looks really bad please

Good morning all, I am inquiring over at Sim Innovations, but am trying a 2-pronged attack on this issue: Previously I had been using 3.4, which yesterday started to nag be to update to 3.5. Partway through the day, it stopped displaying the Turbine Inlet Temps, so I thought it was a good time to install. Installed fine. 80% of the time, it won't start due to a OpenJDK crash. Half the time when it does start, it does not display the altimeter readings correctly (some digits won't display. I know in the past it has always been a grey area about orbx airports with their respective regions. Many pass up good quality airports that orbx has rendered in fear of the scenery being mush without purchasing an expensive region pack that bogs down most systems anyways. I am here to tell you that today I took advantage of the orbx May sale which is 50% off of most if not all of their payware products. I bought KFOT, as well as 65S. Both are noted to *require* a specific region to “work”. I have tested both airports and they are good to go without purchasing the regions. In fact, they blend perfectly with my NA Land Class. Got the update installed. Seems to work fine. Except every time I restart SF I have to reauthorise the software before it will continue. Anyone else? Any ideas? And how to you post a support request to REX. The forums are all just resolved issues or closed issues. I cannot find a forum where I can request support and start a new topic. Very strange.

What's the best way to update from 4.5 to the hot fix? Is there a guide on how to do it?

I have no aircraft textures or a preview of any sort or any buildings at airports. There is nothing but the but the base ORBX scenery in P3D v4

I recently did a fresh install of Prepar3d v4.4 and installed my Orbx sceneries (Global, LC North America, Southern and Northern California, Monterey Airport, amongst others. When performing a cross country flight from Monterey CA to Santa Barbara, CA I encountered frequent long pauses as I got close to Santa Barbara. The pauses were so bad that it ruined the entire experience. I never experienced this in v 4.3. I than performed the recommended Prepar3d troubleshooting steps. Without the Orbx sceneries Southern California and LC North America, the simulator performed flawless over Southern California. No pauses, high frame rates and very fluid. I added LC…

This worked fine before I'm not aware that I've changed anything. But I simply cannot steer the F22 on the ground any more with the rudder control. Google has turned up nothing applicable.

Last night I bought and downloaded the latest build of the 717, after Install I am unable to get P3D 4.5 (Hotfix) to load with the plane, instead I get an error saying "Unable to activate"... Any ideas on how to use a legal product I paid for?

With the growing popularity of P3Dv4 it would be really useful to have a comprehensive guide as to how to set up a flight sim PC to run both. I'm currently running FSX only but am contemplating building a new higher spec machine to run both sims. It's a bit like stumbling around in the dark... My current plans are to install FSX on one M2 type SSD and P3Dv4 on a second one. But where would I install the OS....on another smaller SSD? Another conundrum is where to install Orbx scenery, Active Sky, REX, FS Commander, FSUIPC4 and FSUIPC5.
