I am trying to get WinchX and CumulusX to run with Prepar3D version 4.5 on a brand new Windows 10 PC. I cannot get either program to run, by that I mean just by double clicking on them. With WinchX the operating system reports side by side errors. Has anybody got these programs running on 64bit Windows 10? Richard

I figured I'd throw this one to the computer guys on here.... I am looking to clean up my PC to get more HD space. However, I am very reluctant to start deleting things in the fear that by doing so will delete something that is critical to P3d. I have a bunch of different folders over the years and a bunch of files sitting on the desktop. Admittedly, it is pretty unorganized. My question is, are there any recommendations as to go about cleaning my PC up and removing things I don't need, duplicates, etc. without deleting anything that my system is using? Thanks!

This is what I'm greeted by when I load the Majestic Q400 Anyone know why my displays are all whacked out? Oil indicators flicker and show multiple values, the hydraulic pressure indicators are jumping around like nobodys business :S Short video below showing how it looks.... I have DD Chicago Airports and think it is great. Can someone tell me what the ORD configuration is? Is it future proofed in terms of the layout of the runways? I asked because I came in on 9L the other night and as I was taxiing to the gate, I crossed 27C which is not a current config. Last night, taxiing to 9R for T/O, the taxiways didn't match the charts that I have from Navigraph. This isn't a complaint, just curious as to what they modeled it based on. Also, I don't believe my MCDU had that middle runway 27/9C listed and my taxiway callouts called "approaching 14R" still. Thanks

I have read a lot of posts regarding refresh rates and would like to experiment for myself. One of the things is how to adjust a refresh rate of 60mhz down to 30 to "possibly" assist with smoothness. (My Monitor is only 60). I have downloaded MSI afterburner and RTSS as suggested in one post but I cannot find any reference or settings for refresh rates. Can some kind person point me in the right direction? Ian Harrison

Hello, I have spent so much money on scenery add ons for FSX over the years and now am finally switching to P3D V4. This is probably a dumb question that has been asked many times (but I can't find it). Apart from my Orbx products, will any of my other FSX/P3DV3 sceneries work with P3D V4? Given the current sale over at ORBX, I decided to take the plunge and install the global base pack, North America LC, and Vector. Everything went smooth with the installation, and overall, I'm impressed, but I do have a question I was hoping someone could easily answer. I took a short flight from KRYY to KFTY, two airports just north of KATL. When I landed at KFTY, I noticed some weird landclass in the middle of the airfield. Here are two screen captures: Can anyone explain why this happens. Is there anyway to fix this at all. I suppose it's not too big of a deal, but it is a little odd. Thanks!

Hello, I describe my issue and if someone knows the reason. With FSLabs 320 at LCLK Apron Airport with 35-40 FPS pre flight preparation. Taxiing to the runway, still equal FPS . Exact while entering the runway for take off the FPS drops down to 15-18 FPS. Any Idea? Geo

Greetings all! Just wondering if anyone has some advice. Yesterday I finally took the plunge and was going to move from v4.4 to v4.5. I downloaded the zip file from LM, extracted the files within and then started following the install protocol as per the guide by Poppet (I had gone through this process when upgrading from v4.3 to v4.4, so was not totally unfamiliar with it). After the v4.5 client had been installed, it would launch, or I should say, would not launch completely. The opening screen came up, Ultimate Traffic Live started to load, and then after some time the screen just disappeared from the desktop. No P3D icon on the taskbar, either. No error…

i recently BOUGHT the quality wings 787, I belive that i followed the instuctions from quality wings and installed the aircraft to my drive befor separationg the files and putting them in there respective folders follwowing the instruction on p3ds website. i put the aircraft folders in the simobjects\airplanes directiry, yet when i lauch p3d it say that there are only the 89 deafault aircraft, ive looked at the airplanes directory in file expolrer and there it recognizes that there are two more files. have i mis followed quality wings instuctions, or is it an issue with p3d? or have i put the qw 787 in the wrong place, could someone give me a step by step install guide fo…

What a great little airport. I purchased some months back, and just installed ( forgot it) 🙂 It is a real stunner. I watched a few you tube videos of the airport, and it is pretty well spot on. It does need PBR though, that would be the icing on the cake. I fly mostly Easyjet in the FSL, so it is an airport that I will use often. Seems to fit ok with MSE Spain as well.

Hey guys, I always create the flight plans with pro atc x and I had no problems so far. If I create a flight plan to EGPH (EDINBURGH), I always have the same problem. After the execute route request I always get the message, NO ROUTES AVAILABLE. (pmdg 777, FMC) I have tested some flight schedules, EDDP-EGPH, LIME-EGPH, EDDM-EGPH, but always the same problem, in the FMC of PMDG 777 comes the message NO ROUTES AVAILABLE. Hi there! For some reason texts in P3D start up menu are quite difficult to read. Is there a way to change the font? Or is it something else?

I updated to the latest game ready drivers from NVIDIA yet could still not manage to speed P3D up. I even disabled afford such as FTX vector to no effect. I repaired P3D and then reinstalled my addons and the issue persists Thanks

Someone has this newest model of C140 and uses it in P3Dv4.4+ (with PBR textures)? https://www.aeroplaneheaven.com/product_cessna.php I like it very mutch and I recommend this little plane (Im fan of each AH model 😉 ) but I have question about textures: Id like to ask the other users of C140 and .... antialiasing here (tested in P3Dv4.5 1.0v), especially users P3Dv4.4+ version (textures with PBR). Maybe this only on my spec and on P3Dv4. I noticed very poor antialising on this model (especially on lines for sure) - on external and internal textures. Whole model "flickers" for me if You change the angle of view. I cant solve it by biggest antialising setting…

I noticed that a lot of people have difficulty finding the correct affinity code. I have made a little (portable) app which calculates the codes for you. You simply mark the cores you want to use and it will generate the appropriate figures. It will generate the decimal code for use in the config file and the hex code for those who use batch files with the /affinity option. Free to use and share. Hey, Noticed this odd elevation issue behind runway 30L on KMSP, which can be solved by disabling Vector. However, KMSP does not show up in the AEC tool (which I've run, of course). Here you'd normally manually disable some specific files but the only file I've found, ABP_KMSP.bgl, does nothing. Would anybody happened to have run into the same issue and found a fix for it?
