Hello fellow flightsimmers, I have a question regarding my processor use in p3d4.5. I noticed that when I use p3d and I look at my processor use there is 1 (processor1) that constantly runs at 100% and the others at 20/40%. My question is if this is normal and should I change something so that it uses all the processors and what do I do to change this. I looked on the web and there is so much written about this subject that I don't see the wood for the trees. Thanks Francis

I made a mistake that I thought that all my FranceVFR and 29Palms scenery had working Autogen in P3Dv5. Two days ago I tested FranceVFR at several places and I saw buildings. Just to find out today thatt these are AG buildings connected to the Scenery Complexity slider. No AG connected to the AG silders. Also 29Palms Skiathis has no Autogen. In Prepar3D v4 Orbx modified several files in the default Autogen folder so FranceVFR and 29Palms scenery lost their Autogen. To fix that I made an extra Autogen folder with the default definition files and copied that next to each FranceVFR addons Scenery and Texture folder. Then I added the FranceVFR definiton files. Hi to everyone,the last 5 months i've been thinking and studiying the QRH of some airlines and the official of airbus,and i see that the aerosoft 330 have only a max fuel capacity of 78.5 ,and the official QRH indicates that the A333 have a total fuel capacity of 97.1 tons of fuel and for example in the QRH of iberia indicates that can reach up to 78.3.I can't make normal flights with normal pax number and payload,what can i do??Thanks

Any decent P3Dv4 scenery's available for KPHL and/or KSLC...?? A cursory look at Simmarket (my usual source) doesn't show anything, but I have not scoured the net, i'm just wondering if anything exists..??

Setup a scene (because I do graphic work and am in and out alot) and have it saved exactly as you left it. Now, as is, if I save a scene with a closeup of the outside plane and scene set to "Outside Locked Spot" and later try to go back into that exact setup it always reverts to "Control Tower"

Hi all, I've come across a few threads discussing this, but they all almost exclusively have to do with AMD GPU's/drivers. I have a 1080Ti and am experiencing some strangeness pretty much related to that, but with those workarounds not working for me. This happens ONLY in the PMDG 744 (P3Dv5 version) from what I could tell from my testing. The symptoms are pretty much the same as the others - when switching from cockpit view to outside and back again, it always - every time - results in a CTD. Hi all, I wanted to put this out there and ask your opinions and something I have been thinking about yesterday. I think the answer maybe a yes though but here goes. For those of you who have MKStudios Keflavik, when you install that scenery, it deactivates the relevant ORBX files around that area so it does not conflict with the actual scenery. ( I get that ) I also noticed yesterday, when you install an ORBX ariport it also deactivates the necessary bgls in your ORBX region ( if you have one ). Greetings. I am a bit puzzled how time in P3D works. (I have v5 now). I am trying to figure out if I need Real Time manager back again. I have tried VSUIPC time sync but it looks like it just sync time. My concern is why P3D sets incorrect Zulu time even if I set it in Time and Season before flight. UTC time is the same everywhere regardless of airport. Here I set System time: Here I click UTC Time: It shows UTC time is 19:09, however UTC time was 02:02 on the next day. Interesting. My AItraffic is being periodically turned-off/disabled by something. Occasionally, my AItraffic will not be loaded/activated. When that happens if I go to the Scenery/World/scenery folder the trafficAircraft.bgl has been renamed to "trafficAircraft.bgl.......... by aunz P3dV5". Anyone know what the "aunz" is and or why it is renaming the trafficAircraft.bgl? Danny

Hello i recently bought rudder pedals for my simulator (Thrustmaster T.Flight rudder pedals) and i use the twist feature on my joystick as a tiller (i have un-assigned everything on the joystick apart from the twist rudder control.) I also have FSUIPC but i have not calibrated or configured the rudder pedals in FSUIPC. I have deleted the assignments for the rudder pedals and joystick in P3D and re-assigned the brake left, brake right and the axis to control the rudder correctly. My sensitivity for the rudder in 65 and for the brakes 80 with a null zone of 1. The issue comes when taxing the aircraft (100% sure it's not the weight that i had with the PMDG 777, 747, 737 NGXU…

1 or 2 out of 5 sessions some repeatable (I think). Never really had CTDs with 4.0 and I've been with P3d since v3. Besides the CTDs, I really like v5 and now it has become my sim of choice. My 2 cents, -Braun

Hi, I'm trying to debug a CTD with 4.5 HF3 and have Ezdok 3 installed. I tried starting P3D with procmon running but Ezdok throws an error saying that "monitoring software has been found running" and to unload it. Is it known that Ezdok searches processes and disables itself if it finds something like procmon? If so, how am I suppose to debug if their software won't let me haha Thanks for any help / suggestions

Hi, As many of us are aware, one of the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel for FSX and P3D is the Power Management Mode that is typically set to "Prefer Maximum Performance", but today I stumbled across a similar setting that LM recommends for P3D in their basic troubleshooting where you configure the graphics card e.g. "Use the appropriate video card software to configure the graphic card’s control of Prepar3D. For NVIDIA graphics cards, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, select Manage 3D settings, and set the Preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor. I really enjoy having Lorby's Addon Organizer on my desktop; however, I seem to have to go to it so much in order to use the scenery I want to use. Let me explain. If I sync my simulator in ORBX Central, it drops down some of my most used scenery. I like to keep UK 2000 Liverpool, Manchester, Fly Tampa Las Vegas and Fly Tampa Princess Juliana near the top of my Library. Why do I want it up near the top? Because if its down too far in the Library, it doesn't display the purchased scenery....it displays the default airports. So, if I want to fly out of Liverpool with my purchased scenery, I have to bring Liverpool up to the top of the library (or close to it). No…

Hi guys I have been using V5 pretty much non stop. I got a few "device hung" errors a few weeks ago but no issues since runnings some tips i found. Now using the PMDG 747 it seems to crash upon switchings viewsm (chaseplane) with the device hung error. Would anyone know why this would be doing this all of a sudden when no software, hardware or settings have changed? This is right at the start of my flight in a default airport and VRAM usage on my RTX2080ti 11GB card is very low I went into event viewer and found these two items but not sure what they mean or the cause. I have Real Air Turbine Duke and Lancair Legacy in a P3Dv 4.5 and P3D v5 setup-flying well Is there a way of renaming the file/folder of these planes so that they are seen separately in each setup Otherwise P3D v4.5 keeps querying the installation I have done this before with the same 2 planes when I had a P3Dv3 and P3Dv 4 setup running on same computer but I have forgotten what I did to successfully resolve the situation xxd09
