Hello all. I remember that I have started a thread here and asked for the screening flashing issue of RJBB scenery. Somebody raised a solution (i.e. deleting certain files) that resolved the issue, but I cannot find it even in my forum profile. Does anyone have it saved? Anson

After spending a few days with MSFS2020 I'm giving consideration to upgrading my P3D 4.5 to 5 while I await the maturing of the new platform. I'm listing out what the true cost and true hassle factors are going to be to see if I want to do this for what might be only a few quarters (or not.) Anyway, I started with ORBX, of which I have a large bucketload installed for V4.5. After spending some time reading their forums and support I believe I am getting a better idea of what it will involve. I'm looking to see if my conclusions are valid. It would appear I would have to buy another copy of ORBX Vector, but all my other sceneries that are, as of this writting, V5…

I now have P3D 2.5 and have decided to upgrade to V5 since V2 does not take any noticeable advantage of my new 2070 Super card. Some questions for this upgrade I have Orbx scenery and addon planes like A2A and the Majestic Dash Q400. Do I need to manually uninstall all these addons or can I simply uninstall P3D and delete its folder ? I have a tool called Flightsim Estonia migration tool which I needed to install some planes. Is this tool also usable in V5 ? I expect V 5.1 to soon be released. If I buy it now would it be easy to make the upgrade to 5.1 ?

Hello everyone, I am getting desperate. I'm running Windows 10 2004 (1903 originally) and Prepar3D V4.5. After a windows update on August 14, trying to start my P3D would result in this error: "The operating system is not presently configured to run this application". I'm at a loss. I have tried reinstalling P3D client, rolling back said windows update, updating windows even further as far up as 2004 but no avail. I have no idea what's causing this error. Event Viewer is empty. hello, any advise please. When i start the sim i get a warning. The sim loads but the EZdok camera does not connect to the sim "AirportController crashed with code 4 Exception details Could not load file or assembly Microsoft flightsimulator.Simconnect Version=10.0.61259.0. Culture=neutral PublickeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35or one of its dependencies. The system canot find the file specified. Please Help me

Its been a while since I have did a post. I love sims (flight, farming). I got FS20 on gamepass to try it out. The graphics are very good but the UI and a few other things I do dis-like. So I loaded up P3d after flying in FS20 for a couple of days. The graphics don't look as color full as FS20. With FS20 costing $119 dollars, is it worth maybe trying to get a scenery addon for p3d instead of but fs20? If so is there anything that covers most of the world? As of right now I'm running 1080p. I hope to upgrade to 1440 or 4k later this year. Noth sims run very smooth on my PC. Thanks.

Is there any way to restore default AI traffic without reinstalling whole P3D ?

Hey Guys, I am not a huge fan of setting my monitor at 30hz because of the lag. It frustrates me and for whatever reason, I find it noticeable and annoying. Trying to do anything with my mouse is simply not anywhere near the same as when I have things set at 60Hz. Obviously, 30hz, VSync TB, unlimited frames are the current gold standard. Locking the sim at 25 FPS seems to be the second, but in my testing and research, I have found a great alternative, that I am very happy with. I am aware that this topic has been debated ad nauseam so I did do some actual testing to try and back this up as a good alternative. I am hoping a few people will try it out as well. …

I posted a video to my channel benchmarking p3d v4.5 testing various affinity mask and hyper threading settings. Maybe this video will put the debate to rest once and for all!

Hello - After installing MSFS last week, I went into P3dv5 to try and do a flight. The sim continues to crash during the time I select the flight and while it generates. My P3d was working flawlessly up until now. After 5 straight crashes I deleted th p3d.cfg and then the dll.xml file, and still no luck. Any ideas as to how I fix this? Now that I have MSFS, I’m appreciating P3D even more. Sure, I admire and respect what Asobo and Microsoft have been able to accomplish, i.e., utilizing the power of AI to virtually recreate the entire globe in acceptable detail for VFR. However, even with all that technological genius, there is still something to be said, something that is priceless, about the number of hours, developers and us, spent on fine-tuning and customizing the planes, weather, and landscape, etc. Sure, for example, the scenery in the vicinity of an airport may not look as realistic as MSFS, but by God, countless hours were spent on attempting to make it look good enough. Moved to SimToolkitPro recently from ProjectFly. It is great to have all the tools I use like Navigraph charts, Simbrief, ASP3D, etc all in the one app. The only issue is I think STKP is more accurate than ProjectFly at measuring landings and I am struggling to land Airbuses or the 737 at less than 200fpm when landing by hand. I've blown a few tyres on the 737 recently from landing heavily in crosswinds. Anyone else noticed heavier landings being reported in STKP? Any tips for making those 'like butter' landings? Today when I making some single engine drills, I find my rudder just don't work after lift off.... After research up and down...I finally find that my autorudder setting are on..... Not sure when and how... but I assume it's when I move my rudder axis assignment form P3D's one to FSUIPC, when I delete all rudder input in P3D's menu, it might decide I must need autorudder so checked it for me...... that could be ages ago.....And I didn't even noticed until now..... So, yeah... if you use FSUIPC for that too. I would suggest a quick check to make sure....😓

Hi all Not sure how many of you have experienced MKstudios Dublin in p3d v5? I have recently reinstalled my pc so took the plunge - the sim does seem pretty stable apart from when I change views at Dublin I seem to be getting the occasional random crash to desktop Any ideas? M

It's now been a year since i got into FS again and so far something surprised me. So far, even going let's say 10 years back, nobody ever did a proper fokker jet (no props). With those going out of service in europe and with a history that made it just as popular as the e-jets these days, i don't really understand. Also to my knowledge fokker stopped being a manufacturer so legal status isn't as hot as boeing or airbus. Basically does anyone know if someone ever did or is doing one? Specially the F100, the most popular. Do you guys love that bird too? Best regards, Charly

Hi recently upgraded from 4.5 to 5 and really enjoying using this version of p3d, I always fly in vr and get good performance using the A2a commanche but the ngxu and Aerosoft a319 not good at all,( the ngx in 4.5 was good),so only use those aircraft in 2d,I am currently looking at the A2a bonanza as I would imagine I would get the same performance as the commanche but really would like something that would fly higher and further maybe the dash 8 from majestic but don’t know what the performance would be like in vr,anyone using this aircraft I would appreciate any info on vr performance or any other aircraft recommendations. jim

Hi all. Been running P3D 4.2 for a couple of months now using unlimited FPS, vsync off and triple buffering off. I run P3D in windowed mode so Gsync is enabled for both full screen and windowed. NCP is all defaults and NVI is not being used. Monitor is 60hz so FPS never go above this due to Gsync. I fly mainly PMDG level aircraft with activesky, envtex and payware scenery etc so my usual average FPS on the ground will be circa 25-30 and only up to 60FPS when in the air. Performance has been fine with the above settings but I’ve been reading recently that G-Sync only kicks in when above 30fps so my question is, would I be better served using locked FPS or vsync …

If I open the truesky, all the planes like F35,qw787 as330 ,the cockpit is raining! Why LM didn't find this simple bug?What the test team is doing, this bug has not been found!

Hello Everyone, I was wondering whether I could get your advice on whether to purchase the PMDG777 or 747. PMDG are currently having a 23% sale and I think this is a brilliant opporotunity to pick up a new jet. My simple question is, given the state of both aircraft and the new MSFS, which do you think is the better one to buy. I owned the PMDG747 on FSX but never got round to buying it (Or the NGX) for P3D. I've only got the FSLabs and QW787, the former is unbelivable, and the latter is quite nice (but doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy inside I am not an early adopter, so I would realistically see myself moving to the new platform around December (…

Hello to you all I have just bought P3Dv5 as an upgrade from v4. Can somebody tell me 1. Does this initial download include any hot fixes? 2. Is DX12 an integral part of the download or do I have to download separately? 3. Can I use my v4 ORBX products in v5 or do I have to repurchase them. If they are indeed compatiible, what is the procedure for the reinstall? I vaguely remember seeing an article where I had to copy my P3Dv4 ORBX library for P3Dv5. I have actually made a new folder (P3Dv5) and copied all the v4 folder contents into it. I have no idea if this is the correct thing to do and would dearly love some help. Regards Tony
