Hey guys, Looks like all my P3Dv5 purchases will be at a halt now (I do have tons of addons) as MSFS2020 is out and based on the tons of videos etc - the graphics are mind blowing plain and simple (hurry up and release VR support). You know it will be cool if the best third party addons are moving to it (PMDG, etc). I am just glad we do not need tons of third party addons for camera, textures, clouds, timezone etc - omg I hated to have all these addons - Those are band-aid utilities. They played a role and in time imho outlived their purpose. Prepar3d will become more of instructional sim for me (as that is its intended use from its creators anyway). Still g…

Can i move P3D V5H2 "complete" to another drive or do i have to do a UN-install then complete re-install onto the other drive? Thanks

Does anyone use a photoscenery 1m LOD15 of Italia from this site? https://italyphotoreal.weebly.com/ I stutter every minute. Nothing similar happens with a MegaSceneryEarth 4X. I have checked in both versions (v4,5 and v5) on FL100 on different planes I tried to disable autogen, but to no avail. Everything is fine in the light version 2m LOD14. But there are no night lights and no lakes. Can you confirm that the photoscenery 1m is the problem?

I found no Orbx forum here so I'll post this here. It seems Orbx did not include the addon global airports for P3Dv5. I copied the global airports file from P3Dv4 to P3Dv5 and added it to the scenery library. So far the ones I went to appear fine. Will doing this possible cause problems down the road? Noel

So flying the flying the qw 787 reaching TOD. Starting my descent an noticed in my fmc that my speeds were different at different waypoints during flight. using LNAV/VNAV for eg. Descending to 28000 from 37000 speed was 290 then at lower altitude next waypoint 24000 was 270kts then at a lower altitude/next waypoint. speed was back up at 290kts And back down to 270kts and so forth until about 14000ft Sorry if it’s a dumb question. i tried asking on the qw forums. but says i am asking too many questions and spamming. lol I tried to ask 2 questions. thanks mike

LatinVFR just released Hartford Windsor Locks Airport yesterday and it looks great. This airport has been on my wish list for years. I am torn as to whether I should get this now that MSFS is less than two weeks away. Has anyone bought this one yet? Also, does anyone know if this would perhaps be upgraded for MSFS as I doubt this airport would be considered in the new sim. If I I knew this would be upgraded for MSFS I would buy it right now. I really hate to say it, but there is such an amazing contrast between V4+ and V5 P3d. I wish there weren't, because I always enjoyed having the latest and greatest when it comes to technology and flight sims. I have one of the latest state of the art computers from Jetline that works great with everything except V5 P3d. I like the latest video drivers (usually) and I try to keep up with the latest, most appropriate, planes and sceneries for my tastes. I might mention that V5 and V4 SHARE a single 1TB drive alone. There are no windows files or other files to interfere with the sims. They have the whole SSD to themselves. ORBX Libraries are on other drives. Both s…

Hello, P3D v4.5 Inc HF3 / Win 10 64 bit Can any one tell me what I should see in the add on drop down menu my version 1.2.67 top of screen in P3D Immersion Menu with the Flysimware lear 35 loaded, only when I call up the menu it says installed whereas on the Boeing 737 V2 which I also have installed it says ready? This is the Black Background menu box that lists Immersion A/C and provides a means of checking for updates it is found in the top bar of the screen far right button Add-On's.It says Immersion Packages with Live Configuration. Hello all, As I'm starting to get into making feature movies I like to have clips of loading/unloading the plane with accompanying music, I wonder maybe if upgrading to GSX Level 2 with crew and passengers might make it look better, but is it worth it? I know the animation isn't that great, but looking at videos, it seems you have to fiddle around adding custom jetways, do you have to sit down and do all the piers around Gatwick for example? Or can this be installed and be working straight out the box? I see you can move baggage trucks around ect, can you move the marshaller as well? I don't know if it was something I did or if it is something with the install. When I first got P3D v5 the keyboard keys for zoom, -,= were working and now they are not. I have chaseplane could that be interferring with it? Anyway, I like to use the A2A C172 for GA flying and that's what I learned simming on.

According to FSElite, Taxi2Gate's KSEA works with P3D v5. Can anyone talk me through the steps to install? By default it wants to install to a v4 directory (which I don't have installed). Many thanks

Updates include all the new terminal structures! Anybody that buys it, I'd love to hear what you think of performance!

Hello All: I notice that when I look out, and up a tiny amount the terrain darkens quite a bit, making trees and forest extremely dark. If I look down with the viewpoint, the screen gets brighter and terrain is nice and clear and visible. Flying low and slow, this is getting to be a real pain for me. I have PTA and env texture, but I do not think these are causing the issue. I havd tried different PTA presets to no avail. I think this issue has always been happening to me through all versions of P3d, it just took me awhile to figure out what was going on. Hello guys, For the first time I can not see traffic in IVAO. I installed pilotUI and everything ok. The started mtl installer and choosed root folder av p3d v5. Downloaded 100% but nothung more. No real install and no MTL folder in SimObjects. Tried many times and absolutley runned in admin mode. I added lines in simobjects.cfg too. I tried to install ivac2 too and run mtl install from there, it tooked 3 hours to download all mtls but same problem, acctually I had mtl folder in SimObjects but when I connected I could see just a litle part of an aircraft...started mtl installer again(the new one) and renamed the ivao_mtl in ivao_mtl3 but the same, downloaded but…

I read that some are going to install both versions of the simulator on their computer. How then to switch DirectX11 to DirectX12 and back?

Here's something I put together to track the changes I make to various keyboard assignments in P3D. I have updated it to include all the new P3Dv4 keyboard assignments. What I do is any edits I make I enter the new assignment and color code them whether they are a new assignment to an empty location or I use a different color if I change an assignment from P3D default. I found this useful to keep track of all the changes we have to keep making with add-ons or default key assignments for Track IR etc.. I have p3dv4.5 HF3 and p3dv5 HF1...anyway...was curious but this happens alot with default airports.. Anyone else notice this? I never had any serious issue with this in prior versions but if I taxi at any airport in weather that causes tire smoke mist my fps tanks - real slide show. Vic
