REX is currently having their Black Friday sale with 50% off and I'm thinking about getting REX Sky Force. Since I'm running Active Sky for P3D v4 on a client PC connecting to the sim PC over the network, I would like to know if it is possible to run REX Sky Force together with ASP4 on such a networked setup? If yes, must REX Sky Force be installed on the client PC or on the sim PC?

Not sure if this belongs here or in Graphics section but lets start here. I've seen plenty of videos of P3D v4 and v5 on YT with system stats shown in the top-left of the screen. Showing CPU Temp, GPU Temp, Memory etc. I've installed MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner and they're both running when I launch P3D v4.5. I have also pointed RivaTuner to the P3D executable and On-Screen Display Support is On. I've also tried the three rendering modes and none will make the info appear. Is the addon worth now with latest update? im planning to buy it. Ive just heard in the past they had issue with the autopilot especially on lnav & vnav. Hows the addon now?

I know about adjusting the overall brightness in sim, But is there a way to adjust the sun's intensity with out affecting the overall global setting? For example, In game lighting brightness looks about right with the setting i have, but, The sun light shining on the vegetation is making the trees way to brite like a lite green glow. If i try to tone it down so the trees look more natural the over all brightness becomes to dark for the whole sim. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello all, I have seen numerous posts commenting on the quiet in this forum since the release of MSFS. So, I thought I'd drop some links to a bunch of freeware for out-of-the-way destinations that I think are well worth visiting. A lot of these were excellent freeware sceneries developed for FSX. I have used the solution of 'time_constant=0' in the cfg file, but the sound when changing views still sounds weird, and even in some planes, reverse thrust sound plays even in idle. P3D version: 4.5 Hotfix 3

I am trying to enter a flight plan on the G1000 Vertx DA62 and it's driving me nuts! I click on FPL and click on the inner FMS knob to get a highlighted line but I cannot get to the next page of Waypoint Information where I can rotate the inner FMS knob to enter characters. Rotating the inner or outer FMS wheels has no effect, and clicking the inner knob just deselects the highlighted line. Also the airport at which I am located is not automatically entered into the flight plan screen as I believe it should. What am I missing? Thanks

How do you do this? I have flyinside for p3dv4 but now I use p3dv5 and I am learning to handle the majestic dash q400 and would really like to have some notes/charts etc to use... Just wondering if there is a new community consensus on the use of HT in P3D. It used to be strongly discouraged but maybe it's changed now ? I run a 10700k with all 8 cores at 5.0 ghz with idle temps at 33-35. If I turn HT ON my temps are pretty much the same. So do you have to set a specific affinity mask or does P3D now recognize HT properly ?

I still fly and enjoy P3D.x, and I wonder what would the final 'out-of-Beta' E.A. features be, or look like from present? I also wonder if the feature will be out of Beta, with the next x.x version? Any thoughts?

Hello all, I tried following some tutorials on YouTube on how to replace the default jetways with the GSX Level 2 ones. I tried to do this for all jetways at UK2000 EGKK. I checked the exclude jetways in a 1m radius box, quit the sim, clicked the Compile Check Excludes in the GSX Level 2 control panel, and re-loaded the sim at EGKK. Sure enough the new jetways were in, but the old ones remain. After customising the new gates, and the parking position, I tried the jetway but only the old one works, as seen in the picture What am I missing? As you can see in the control panel, 65 jetways have been excluded, yet they still remain in the sim and work? …

Ok, I made a bit of a jest post over at msfs forums, but I am a long time simmer (25+) years, and I have been using p3d for the last - I dunno - 7 years or so? In any case, I would like some help to get my p3d v5 looking as good as it can (but must also be stable)! This is how it looks right now: I have orbx global basepack and activesky at the moment. What else do I need to make it look GEEWD?

During my last two flights flying the QOTS II B747-400 the LNAV or Heading Mode Annunciator on the PFD, depending on which was selected, has come up with a horizontal yellow line through (indicating a malfunction), the shortly after this the autopilot has disconnected. The first time this happened was after about three hours into the flight. Yesterday it occurred after about 10 minutes into flight. I am thinking of deleting the aircraft .cfg file - would this be a reasonable attempt to cure the problem?

Hello I have serious problem with p3d v4.5 The lights of aircraft are not visible (logo, landing and taxi) lights. it happens with all aircrafts in p3d but I have turned DL and Dynamic reflection on help please the landing lights are not illuminating the ground but in settings it's already check I did full reinstall and still the same note that the cabin buttons light appear for a part of second only,flood and any external lights except the NAV and wing lights they are the only working ONLY THESE LIGHTS ARE WORKING OTHER LIGHTS DON'T WORK

I noticed today that P3DV5 wasn't producing any contrails. When I checked PrecipitFX I found that it doesn't support P3D past version 4 and that had no plans to do so. PrecipitFX is now freeware but they are looking into making a new program for V5. What are fellow P3DV5 users, using to make contrails appear? Does anyone have an idea if the 717 will be released for P3dv5? For some reason I can find almost nothing about this, and I am surprised that 5 months after release of v5 there is no guidance yet. Maybe I am not looking at the right place in the TFDI Forums? Cheers, Pete

Hello, title pretty much covers the subject. Yes, I know there is a FSUIPC forum. I'd rather not use that at this time, Yes, I have RTFM, several times. I am trying to set up my Saitek throttle quads to coincide with the throttles on my MU-2, from FSW. I have read the sync pos section many times. It's just not clicking for me how to sync the actual hardware throttle to match the MU-2 throttle quadrant. I have found a really cool detent mod for the saitek, that I can make detents for the throttle levers,condition and flap levers. I want to match those positions, to were they are in the actual sim. I'm just not quite understanding the process. …

When I try to set payload on fmc I'm getting an invalid entry error and payload level is %29525 on 747-400, I reinstall it 3 times and did not work. Cargo versions are normal and no problem.

Hi, As recently announced we know TFDi are currently developing their new MD-11 product which I might add looks pretty darn impressive however Sky Simulations has now announced P3Dv5 compatibility with their existing product. What would you consider doing if you dont already own the Sky Simulations version for v5? Purchase the Sky Simulations version or wait for TFDi? I have no direct experience of flying any of their aircraft from either company hence the question. I am missing flying the old bird in P3D though. I was flying the PMDG MD11F freighter around the world in FSX. Let me know what you think and would do. Mark
