Recently installed mse Florida 2x which is first delve into photoreal.It is what I expected so OK.Got the 50% disc offer for 4X.Thinking about it.Read previous posts and saw dissatisfaction back in Oct.Have problems been corrected?Thanks,Ron

Automatic install failed here, so I'm now doing a manual install. One of the things the original ESI installer produced was a folder called ES-3D which contains: Scenery\ES-Vegetation.bgl Texture\FST0001_FA.dds and 42 other new tree textures. Does anyone know how to install these to FSX manually? Cheers.

Just doing a manual install of the Treescapes scenery for Horizons England 1/2/3. I notice that Horizons has folders for: 0.6m Photo 1.2m Photo 2.4m Night 2.4m Photo 4.8, Mesh whereas Treescapes only has data for: 2.4m Photo. Does this mean that trees will only show up on 2.4m Photo data, meaning that at low level or when using 0.6/1.2m Photo VFR scenery, no trees will show? Or do the trees propogate throughout the different data densities automatically? What do you see in actuality? Cheers.

New to photo scenery and understand pros and cons.I have mse Illinois and just upgraded to MSE Florida 4X.Enjoying the scenery and turn it on and off at 1500'.What to do about airport overlays?I fly 4k' and still see dupe airports.I shut off MSE when landing and everything is good.Does this have to do with addon airports and AFCADS?Just curious.Old guy that has been doing this forever and trying to keep brain alive.Thanks,Ron

I've searched, and try as I might, I can't find any large-scale photoscenery for Italy. Am I missing something? I found quite a lot about the canned SIRX project (which looked fantastic) and some by Mazzokan but they're mainly FS2004. Are we just going to have to wait until the likes of MSE decide to do Italy? It's a shame that there isn't as at the moment you can go all the way from the end of the Iberian peninsular to Holland and northern Germany over photoscenery but Italy is sadly lacking and I'm sure it would look fantastic.

Hi All! Does of you with megascenery installed. Do you allow the installer to add the edits to the cfg file? Do you even need those edits in P3D 3.1? What are the best settings for Photo real? In FSX, I used photo real for many areas. I am only going to use photo real for areas with lots of mountains in P3D. I will let GEX take care of the flat areas. Thank you. Edgar Corripio

I tried to install on my new computer, VFR Real Scenery Sth Britain/ Just Flight, but it won't work. I bought it 8 years ago. Should I buy a new copy? Any ideas? Peter Sydney Australia

I have both ORBX scenery, and mega scenery earth 2.0. When I use one, the other is disabled. Recently, however, when I disable the ORBX scenery, and activate mega scenery Oregon and California for example, many airports have sunken runways. All elevations were fine with mega scenery California, but after installing ORBX Northern Cal, the sunken runways appear in mega scenery California even though the ORBX scenery is disabled. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this might be occuring? Thanks

I own all the above products for all of England and Wales. I have Full V2 DVDs and just update DVDs for V3, so I was wondering: A. Is Treescapes fully compatible with both V2 and V3 Horizon VFR England? Do the trees align properly in V3 high rez areas? Or am I best to stick with V2 scenery for this? B. In what order should I install these, to ensure the Trees are properly inserted in to the scenery? V2-Trees-V3update or V2-V3update-Trees? C. I also own UK2000scenery airports (not the extreme version, just the normal ones) At what point should I install the airports scenery during the order shown in 'B'? D. You can have now the whole Italy photoreal with placed autogen! First version is 2m res, summer only, no night lighting = ~ 45gb. Second version is 1m res, summer and winter, night lighting = ~400gb! Autogen can be downloaded separately and it's around 500mb. Explore!

This is a water body in SO. California that has no water, just a very deep ditch. I have flown into it and you go so low your altimeter stops working. I have ORBYX Globel and MSV2 and nether fixes this anomaly. Has anyone else noticed this opening to the lower regions and know of a fix? It is located ENE of San Diego.

Hello, I bought vfr photographic scenery on Amazon. It turned out to be version 1. 4 low res tiles do not display: v3-24-11753201.bgl v3-24-11754200.bgl v3-24-11756202.bgl v3-24-11756207.bgl I think the tiles from any subsequent version will replace them. If anyone would post them somewhere for me to try I would be very grateful. Thanks Paul Kemp.

I installed Megascenery Ill and it was working fine.Is not running now.Shows activated and top priority in library.I tried activating at 3000' because do npt like it at grd level.Thanks for any help.Ron R

About two months ago I had to reinstall Windows 7 and most of my FSX software. As of a week ago I was going to install my MegaScenery Earth DVD's (5 states) and none of them will install. I have tried ORBX software DVD's and other data DVD's and they are appearing and installing. I went so far as to swap out the CD/DVD drive for a new one and I get the same results. When I put the disc into the drive, it will appear in Windows Explorer and I can see the individual files on the disc. I right-click on the installation file, the disc, or rather DVD drive will spin and there will be a green progress bar moving slowly to the right at the top of Windows Explorer. The green pro…

Hi all- Here's what I'd like to do... I'm a photo scenery guy, but like ORBX airports. Some, but not all, ORBX airports require regions. Now, is it possible to somehow get ORBX airports to work with Megascenery in some way? Adjusting the layers something like this (bottom up)? ORBX region > Megascenery > ORBX airport? hello, I see that there is a new MSE 4x coming out but have a few questions first. Is this an upgrade or a new install? is this from the same source code as MSE? what will happen to the high res cities and areas I already have? what is the impact on frame rates? have the shorelines been sorted out yet as they were horrendous in MSE and were never fixed. what is the transition like from state to state with regards to the colour? have all the countries planned for MSE been completed het for example is there a France , Austria or Norway planned. I want to send out a scenProc test area just north of Wayne Wonderland Airport in the heart of the Utah mountains. The texture folder contains 58 Mb of autogen trees placed fairly accurately using the detection tool. This took about 6 hours. The photoscenery is NOT available since it is too large, so you will have to provide the photo scenery files yourself. Blue Sky scenery has this area of Wayne Wonderland so ti's available on that his site if you don't already have it. Are these programs the same thing. On there web sites, the Megascenery X seems to have more color the the Megascenery earth titles. I have the Megascenery Earth Phoenix area, cost was $7 for the download and the colors seem kinda flat. I also have the Daytona Beach area and it also seems very bad on color. I've got loads of photoscenery I made myself (including 150 GB of Switzerland at 50 cm) and would like to get this out to folks. I have a huge area around Cumberland Maryland with full accurately placed trees (no buildings except what FSX offers). It is autumn scenery so it looks awesome and quite real. This is all 50 cm textures. It is 17 GB in size, so I need to know where to upload this stuff so people can start using it. My real hope is that someone starts placing buildings. I am currently thinking about purchasing photographic scenery for the state of Georgia from MegaScenery 2.0. I do have a couple of questions before I make the purchase for sure. First, I do notice that much of the buildings will be flat. Will the buildings within airport boundaries (Eg. Hangars, terminals, FBOs etc) be flat too, or will they be 3D as I am hoping? Second, I already have multiple airports within my state that I have already edited through the use of Airport Design Editor and Instant Object Studio.
