  2. Dang, I had things workin' pretty darn good with my photoreal scenery. But I just put in a new Geforce 780 6GB so that meant new drivers (337.88), and somehow my hi-res .15cm now looks blurry. Maybe it was doing it before I added the card but can't exactly remember. It's not an issue of distance blurryness. It's not an issue of waiting for it to sharpen up... it won't. It's just not literally sharpening up to its full potential like it used to. So let me throw this out there if someone in P3D v2.2 is real happy with their photoreal settings, drivers, Nvifdia settings and what not and care to brag about them I sure would like to hear from ya! As I can't remember…

  3. Well, after seeing some great hints of our fellows regarding England and other countries, then comes a question that always disturbed me: Asia scenery, and BTW, photoreal scenery. Are there any good ? ( I saw mesh terrain yet ). I can´t remember seeing any Chinese photo scenery, nor Russia, that region, or I´m not updated of the new releases. How about making the famous flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur ?( but not passing through Ucrania )...

  4. Hello. With all the sales going on right now, especially the 50% MSE stuff, I was wondering if there was anyone out there that happened to have the SimSavvy stuff for the US that has now gotten MSEv2 stuff. Are there any states that are by far better in MSEv2 than they were in SimSavvy? Sorry, I don't really have a particular state in mind to ask for comparison. Just curious if anyone has found obvious areas that were really improved. Thanks.

One important city for many people who like to fly over the rocky mountains is Denver - CO. It´s a destination from a beautiful flight from Salt Lake City to Denver and other cities, or who want to cross over Utah and Colorado. It would be very much appreciated if MSE release the city of Denver ahead of many others.

I would like to fly Germany but not sure what scenery to purchase. I currently enjoy Megascenery Earth 2.0 but that's not available for Germany or France for that matter. Can anyone shed light on VFR Germany for me: realism, quality, does it incorporate photo real scenery, etc.? I'd like to know before putting down that much $$ for all four areas! JOHN

  8. To the people who don´t know yet, on the new Prepar3d V2, you simply don´t have the parameter LOD RADIUS which made miracles, like sharp photoreal scenery look. LM changed the code, so that we cannot change it. As a consequence, photo scenery looks terribly blurry at a very near distance. In all cases I tested, FSX with photorealistic scenery is extremely better. You may try MSE and see how it is bad...

  12. I have both MSE 2.0 Georgia and the Atlanta Ultra Res city package. The ultra res city is at a higher priority in the scenery.cfg, and I can see the higher res area. What happens...only when both packages are enabled together...is that areas of water (rivers, lakes) show the lower resolution MSE 2.0 Georgia bleeding through. It looks like there is a haze over the water areas, which you can see well from a top down view or just flying around, but if you look more closely, it's actually the lower resolution textures with the color balance being slightly lighter. You can look at roads and buildings and they are different as you get to the border of water. Is the…

Hi Quick help please... FSX Gold, Windows 7 64bit. Am unsure as to 'exactly' where to put Blue Sky Scenery in FSX. Should it be in a folder inside Scenery or just scattered in the Scenery folder or in the Addon Scenery folder and in a folder or not? Tried it all ways. Can't seem to get it to show. Does I have to be registered in the Scenery settings? Thanks for an help you can give. SC

  15. Just downloaded and installed the latest MSE V2 Los Angeles and San Diego Ultra Res and there's night lighting in the LAX area at least. The regular MegaScenery MSE V2 scenery released for California did not have very good night lighting and, in fact, it was blocky and really ugly. Here's a couple pictures to show the night lighting near Los Angeles: EDIT: this is with MegaSceneryX SoCal also enabled and sitting under the Los Angeles/San Diego entry in the Scenery Library. Best regards,

  16. Hello, Folks, Recently MSE was half of the price and I purchased some titles. They are not the best of the best, but it´s what we have untill something better appear on the market. Unfortunatelly, I decided to purchase more scenery today, and saw that it´with "normal" prices ( Too High ) again. In my country U$ 1,00 is equivalent do 2, so what is already expensive becomes extremely expensive. I can only purchase when they are on sale. Does anybody know when they will be again ? I was just thinking about Florida, Michigan, Georgia, South and North Carolina. After all this, I will have to get Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennesse, Lousiana, Alabama, Maine, Rhode Isl…

  17. Hi guys!. Yesterday I was testing some freeware FS9 scenery's on FSX. I came across with 3 airports that work well so far... except for one issue. As you see, the photoreal layer disappears when you are close to the ground. Is there any way to solve this?. The one on the pics is claimed to be FSX compatible... Before you ask, I have zero skills on scenery development, but I'm willing to learn .... Have already installed ADE and the FSX SDK.

  18. Looking for some help here since the MSE peeps either can't or won't respond. I'm having some issues with the resolution on my Louisiana scenery. I have a lot of their other scenery installed (Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, etc.) and am not seeing any issues with those sections. I'm guessing it could just be the source data they had for Louisiana, but it just seems so washed out compared to all the other scenery I am using from them. I'm using the latest version of Prepar3d with the Rex 4 textures installed. I'm attaching some screen caps with what I'm seeing along with my video settings. Any help y'all could give me would be much appreciated! Apologies for t…

  21. Hello, Fellows, I´d like to know if Megascenery Earth 2 comes with both textures and mesh for a scenery, and what resolution is this mesh for USA, because FSGenesis covers entire USA mesh at about 8 meters resolution ( very good ), and will both products work together ? Thanks in advance, Dihelson Mendonça

  23. I love Megascenery Earth but find the water masking lacking in many regards (missing lakes, rivers, islands, inaccurate coastlines, etc.) which results in the underlying landclass scenery "showing through" in areas that should be rendered as FSX/P3D water. Would using a product like FTX Global Vector or Ultimate Terrain X BENEATH the Megascenery layers result in water bodies lining up more accurately? The anomoly is shown in the illustrations linked below. Example 1 Example 2 My thinking is since the underlying landclass/vector scenery is "showing through" the water areas of the photo scenery replacing the underlying scenery with more accurate coastlines/hydrolog…

As I understand, photo scenery eats up VAS even while you are not flying over them. Since I am no fan of it anyways, I would like to know how to detect them in my scenery library and then remove it without causing problems. I have loads of freeware scenery and payware. Do they have certain files extensions? Thanks in advance P.S. I don't have sceneries covering large areas except FTX global.

I made some purchases with the Easter offer, but can't download. When I click on the download links, I get "The store is temporarily closed for maintenance. Please check back soon" and going direct to http://www.megasceneryearth.com gets me the same error after the initial redirect.
