I notice that when flying at night, there are certain tiles or sections of a city that has night lighting and some don't. Anyone else notice this? Although for places with consistent night lighting over a wide area looks really nice. Will there be any updates that will fix this night texture problem? This is the only downside to MSE v2.

I have recently added MSE2 California. I am attempting to identify the source of what appears to be a blank overlay of the the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station (KNTK). Please see the images below. The area of concern is circled in the first image, which is an FSX/MSE2 screenshot. As you can see, there are large non-textured (no details) areas where there should be blimp hangars and detailed texture, The blank area to the lower right in the circle also covers a portion of an adjacent shopping center. The IRL appearance of the area taken years before the adjacent shopping area was developed is shown in the second image. The blimp hangar area still appears much …

Just got an e-mail from MSE HQ and the CEO advised the lower 48 is almost done with just Washington (being released on 6 Aug) and California (being released sometime in late August) are the only two left in the lower 48. They go on to say "then there's going to be some exciting new announcements and releases." They hint that their aim is to "truly make this product line MegaSceneryEarth." I think this means they'll be publishing Alaska and Hawaii and many countries around the world. I hope they start with Canada. I'm interested in hearing other guesses as to the next product line after MSE V2 USA. Best regards, Jim

Anyone here a member of FSRunway? You can download some photoreal sceneries of Italy. Some of the 'free' stuff seems hard to access. ONLY comments from those that have been there (FSRunway) or from Italian speaking people who want to elaborate for us how to get the 'free' scenery as I don't read italian that well. Thanks. All I want to know is after you become a member how do you get the scenery? Some of it is a little difficult while some of it is just a click of the mouse. For example, Raimond Taburets Lombardia "Free" scenery. How can I download it? It seems to add to cart then it is 0.0 price but then says mode not available.

Hello, Those who were prudent enough to make a screenshot of MegaSceneryEarth 1 map for California, could you please share it here or send it to me? I bought 39 files for California alone, and I still like them more than the barren-look California 2. I need the map though to install parts adjacent to Nevada / Arizona only, and I've bought Nevada 2 already. I was thinking what would really be good. What if MSE puts out the entire US in lower resolution. Something better (Higher resolution) than FS Altitude for high en-route flying. In addition to what they currently have. To supplement their current lineup. And a tool to remove areas (Put holes). I'm writing this topic for a member who already started one but in french, so he asked if I could post another one but in english. He bought Mega scenery earth (almost the entire country) and started up at an airport, and got the out of mem error. He doesnt get this with other photo scenery such as France VFR ect. My first advice was to have him defrag but he did that already so I asked him about his tweaks and said he had "Himemfix=1 et bufferpools=0" so I had him change his BP settings to =50000000 (read it in a forum and worked for me). Just got an email saying the long awaited California will be released on Tuesday. In three parts (Northern, Central, Southern), at $39.95ea. Wasn't planning on updating my Cali but they are claiming they have awesome data they are working from. So I guess if Northern looks "less blue" I may go for it.

Hi, I am an old hand at the tweaking game, but am running into a bit of an annoying issue ( or maybe not..) trying to get my Megascenery2 to display at maximum crispness. I have a pretty quick machine ( I7 950 @3.8Ghz, 2 GTX 680 cards , FSX on an SSD, windows 7 on an SSD, scenery on separate dedicated drives and 6 GB ram. Using photoscenery, I don't have any autogen and I also all my traffic options at zero. So in theory, I should be able to get a pretty good result. When the flight first loads, its all great, but if I fly along, then after approx 20 or 30 seconds, the scenery below loses the last one or two zoom levels. its not terrible at all, but if I pause, after 10 s…

Is it possible to download the entire United States in Blue Sky Scenery? Is there a LINK that has large areas that I can download from? Hello everyone, So This was my first attempt to make photoreal scenery i Covered area of (VIPL) but as soon as i start to fly out I could see the visual difference in colors of it. Example I want to know How Do I blend this area to make the difference look minimal? Also Please suggest me the easiest tool and Method to do it. I am totally new to it..Or a Link to learn .. As you MSE users know, at night default FSX night textures will "bleed" through the MSE textures giving a pseudo night effect. So I was wondering if any simmers who have purchased FTX Global have flown in their MSE regions at night with them? See any difference at night? Better? Worse? If so a screenie or two would be interesting.

I know the specs to most of these photo real scenery are like 1cm, 38cm, etc, but in terms of pixel size, what are they? For MegaSceneryEarth 2, Newport Scenery, France VFR, etc I'm not sure what uses 4096 textures in all my add ons.

I have been consistently receiving CTD (fsx.exe APPCRASH) when running MegasceneryEarth 2.0 over the states of CO, UT, NE. I have not had issues previously with MI, FL, NY. For example: I am able to load up and take off from Denver without issue. But as soon as I pass west of Denver, then CTD. It will also CTD when I try to load a flight @ Aspen (KASE). For Utah, as soon as I approach Bryce Canyon, then CTD. In all cases, if I disable the scenery area from the library, all is fine. Any suggestions would be helpful. So I am looking to add some scenery and am a bit tired of shelling out money every other day. I am thinking about purchasing klax from fsdt and ksfo from flightbeam and maybe klas from fsdt as well. That being said I was looking to download bluesky for california and nevada. Will these all work together? Does this seem like a good plan? I also tend to fly on the east coast and have fsdt kjfk and flytampa cyul. Does anyone have recommendations for good scenery in those areas? I should also add that most my flying is jets (e.g. 737).

I knot its possible, because I see it when flying over MegaScenery Hawaii, So Cal, etc. But how come I'm not seeing any over Texas (MSE Texas v2)? Anyone use Experience X here know if you can layer the lights on top of photoreal. Which one has better night lights, UTX or Experience X? and is Experience X's lighting affect the entire world?

With the small sale on MSE, I thought it about time i'd start upgrading my MSE to v2. I finally managed to download and install New York state and New Jersey. I have to say I'm REALLY disappointed:-( I see almost no defference from v1 Am I just spoilt? Can VFR France really be that much better?

Hey y'all, I am currently downloading MSE Oregon (they have a 25% sale on, until 31 July 2013!!!), but as always it's going to take most of the day to download and install it. :wink: I was wondering if anyone else has MSE Oregon yet, and I was wondering how well the Orbx FTX Airfields in the Oregon area, blend with MSE? If I'm the first, I'll post my results once I'm installed and up and running (probably not today!).

Just downloaded and beginning the install of MSE Nevada. Just ran into a couple of problems with the downloads. I downloaded Setup 012 and 015 but I got an Invalid File error when trying to extract the setup programs. So I redownloaded 012 and my downloader stated I was downloading Nevada Setup 015. When it completed and I extracted the file, the file stated it was Setup 012. So I simply renamed the compressed file Nevada_Setup_015 to 012, then downloaded the 015 file again. This time both files extracted okay and I was able to install then. But I also ran into a problem with Nevada_Setup_021 as that file gave me a Invalid file error when I clicked on it. I redown…

Or is it superfluous since the MSE is photo scenery and will depict mountains correctly without any additional mesh. Otherwise I do have the fsgenesis mesh. But are they needed in MSE areas ?

I found several anomalies centered around the Potomac River glide path to RW 01 at KDCA and want to make sure some other scenery or an installation problem didn't cause these issues. First of all, I have default scenery showing through at the Maryland side of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge (see photo) I have two Woodrow Wilson bridges. The new one on the right and the fsx default on the left. If this is what everyone else has who owns Maryland/Virginia MSE V2, then is there a way to eliminate the default bridge? Megascenery Earth are having a Memorial Day weekend sale, 25% off all MSE products. I'm thinking about picking up one or two areas, but I'm wondering which of the currently available areas is your favorite?

I seem to be missing textures north of Dayton Ohio. Looks like the default. Appears to be a large strip across the State of Ohio (and I mean large!). I reinstalled the Ohio scenery and no joy. Anyone else seeing this? I have 331 *.bgl files in the scenery folder. Thanks. Best regards, Jim
