Perhaps I was a bit harsh on MSE Switz. And I think I'm obliged to post some screenshots of the possibilities of a product like MSE Swiss plus openVFR's autogen program. In all hoensty, if it weren't for openVFR this wouldn't be nearly enjoyable but the two go together like peas and carrots. I do not agree with MSE's stance that tress and objects hurt the scenery in any way as the density of objects can be adjusted in FSX menu. Anyway, this is a crappy computer running 1280x1024, only 1 gb of ram, and the ability of this computer to load high res textures is limited, (my laptop is getting repaired), but I think this does it some justice. Is there a way to download and install the files all at once. I had to download every file separately which was a 6 download max so California took almost 3 days rather than just having them all download overnight while I was sleeping it took 3 days between work and free time. Now I am installing each file separate as well. Any quicker options?

Has anyone purchased Megasceneryearth Belgium? I could not find any specs for the scenery on the website what resolution is it using and how does it compare to the freeware one by Gerard (not wafflefight)? Also if I purchase MSE Switzerland and install it higher than Swiss Pro does that mean I will get higher resolution photoscenery and retain all the 3d buildings and tree's etc.

I have MSE new york as the 1st entry but Im getting blue patches as can be seen. Any one have a clue what might be causing this?

I purchased the MSE Washington scenery, but really miss the autogen for a sense of speed. I understand that 'openVFR Autogen' may work with photoscenery such as MSE, and if so, I may be interested in getting the latest releases from MSE - Belgium and Switzerland. OpenVFR has several products that cover those two countries and I can't help but think it would be amazing. I tried the openVFR Autogen for Switzerland in normal FSX default terrain, and it really brought a more organized sense of reality to the scene. This would work wonderful I think with a photoscene like MSE. Anyone doing this? If so, may I some screens?

I guess I should have read the details on their page, there was no mention of a 50cm resolution like there is on some of their state products. But it wasn't the resolution as much as the inconcistent hues across the entire country. If you zoom all the way out on the map view, you can plainly see a significant difference is several areas as far as color. At one airport, Winterthur, the color and hue is so bright and "washed out", almost pinkish in some areas, it was disgusting. Then you fly a few miles and it's dark green, then a few miles more, light green. Just bad. Then of course, there did seem to be significant inconsistency with the resolution. Some mountains …

But the few example shots of water are straight up noon time shots. Would like to see how it looks at 3/4/5 o clock pm, or early morning. Lets see Big Bear and Lake Tahoe, Mono Lake, San Diego and San Francisco bays. How about a late afternoon run up the coast off Big Sur. I'm sure Mojave, and the inland areas look good if they are of similar quality to my Nevada and New Mexico Version 2's, but I'm hoping the water bodies don't follow suit after my Florida Version 2. So hoping to see some screen captures soon, and crossing my fingers :Worried:

Hi- Recently installed Megascenery 2.0 CA-entire state. Flight plan KSFO>KLAX in default Lear at 5:04pm a few minutes ago. As I climb out 28l, it appears that the default scenery in showing through, fully lit, along a jagged edge where MS seems to fill in with it unlit (dark) scenery as I proceed south underneath the aircraft. Shouldn't the entire state be dark as I fly south, or completely lit if MS wasn't working correctly? I can send a screen shot if this doesn't make sense. Thanks, Mark

I am trying to complete the Hawaiian Islands region and so far I have the following add-ons for it: FSDT Honolulu Airport FSDT Hawaiian Vol 1 and 2 Airports Megascenery Oahu (Hawaii) Newport Scenery Maui Newport Scenery Kaui Newport Scenery Molokai Newport Scenery Lanai Aerosoft Dillingham X That pretty much covers a majority of the region, however I can't seem to find any photo scenery for The Big Island. Does anyone know where I may find one?

this is a lovely state to fly in. it has small cities....rolling hills....and decent mountains and lakes. MSE did a nice job on this state. these are raw pics. the only thing i did was reduce the size.

MSE has just released the first of their MegaSceneryEarth Cities - UltraRes. You be your own judge, but I was underwhelmed. The biggest visible difference is largely seasonal (these are clearly late autumn or possibly early spring and devoid of foliage). It's redeeming quality may be uniformity and the water - the banding is largely gone. Might be good for the immediate city, the cape, and the islands around Martha's Vineyard. For my own setup, I may just cherry-pick the BGL's I want. Hi all, I took off from Glasgow airport yesterday & flew up loch lomond & followed the direction the loch points in, to the west coast, somewhere in the Ben nevis area a bit to the north I saw a really bad join line. Has my install not done a very good job or is it poor scenery blending. Thanks to all who investigate this.

Hi all, Is everybody happy with E.S. support? It's now 6 days from my original e-mail to them to which they have replied twice saying "we'll get round to you sometime, give us a prod". As a user of Opus which, at worst, is a couple of hours after placing a query on their forum, I find this kind of support from E.S. barely tolerable. Anybody else had this? Is it just me?

Hello all. I just got MSE Idaho and had some issues getting it installed (most self-inflicted issues.) I THINK I have it up and running but how can I verify that the MSE scenery is what I'm looking at when I fly??? THANKS! Jim

Hi , Following my thread on the general FSX forum, I would like to post a comparison shot between MSE and Switzerland Pro..... MSE is supposed to have a resolution 4x better (0.50m/pixel vs. 2m/pixel)... and frankly speaking.... Mega Scenery Earth : Switzerland Pro : So I am fully aware that MSE is much cheaper BUT considering that resolution announced is supposed to be better.....

I was wondering if anyone has tried this scenery. I am thinking about getting Califonia, but I don't know if to go with this one or with Megascenery 2.0. Is Blue Sky High Deffinition? Does it has Autogen? How does it compares with Megascenery 2.0?

Has anyone else noticed how wrong the fsx scenery for Kefalonia is. The Island is just the wrong shape but I was amazed to find the freeware Photoreal scenery by Angelo Tassoglou. Ionian islands. I have not used freeware scenery before but was surprised at the amount and quality of it. The Island detail is fantastic but where there should be a massive bay between Argostoli and Lixouri there is a huge chunk of land which looks like the original basic scenery. In the middle of this land mass sits a cruise ship. I am not moaning about the freeware that's heaps better and as I have enjoyed many holidays on this wonderful Greek island its a treat to be able to fly around …

I have a prolem with a purchase I made, I sent 3 messages using their website contact form, never got an answer. Maybe one of you guys knows an email or a way to get directly in contact with them.

I have both Kentucky and Ohio. While flying regardless of altitude, there are areas that are brownish, light green and dark green. The borders are straight. I can see them at a distance and while flying over them. I changed the autogen settings, but that did not help.

2.0 MSE California and Nevada sceneries don't fit well on lake Tahoe : Am I alone with this lake split in two parts ?

I have mega scenery earth 2.0 of Iowa and at my airports the buildings will appear and disappear depending on the view I am in. Sometimes I will be in the cockpit looking straight forward and the building will be there and then without moving the buildings will be gone. I read somewhere online about it but didn't know if anybody knew how to fix the issue. Airport looks bland with no hangars. I emailed support for Megascenery over 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing so that is why I am turning to the forums now. Thanks.

Hi ... I have purchased a number of the Megascenery Earth Titles, and have recently been upgrading to the newer Version. I recently purchased the entire state of California. But when I did so, the rep on the phone at PC Aviator told me that he had heard complaints about the Night Scenery in San Francisco area not working properly. Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, any other areas? I haven't uninstalled the older version yet, nor have I installed the new version. I have sent an email to them on this, but no response. Has anyone else purchased CA, and any comments? Thanks Bob
