Hey guys, maybe you can help me with this issue. After installing the scenery, I'm getting blue tiles where the scenery should be. These blue tiles go all the way out to the horizon, and the strange thing is that what I'd consider the "complex" things like the mountain ranges seem to load fine...its the areas around the water and off in the horizon. I accepted the recommended changes the installer asks for and I think my machine can handle it: Asus Republic of Gamers G53S I7 2630QM, 1.5GB Nvidia 460, cuda...6gb ram, yadda yadda. I did use jbote's tweaks once before, but strangely enough when I ran his tweaks, I was getting the same issue with blue tiles…

Hi all, I think Sim Savvy and MegaEarth Scenery and the other photoreal vendors that have no or limited Autogen have recommended that somehow we all could start to contribute our add-Autogen-back efforts to a common file repository so that those of us who like some 3D objects could get them for free. Another area of similar interest would be airports that are reworked with ADE or similar tools to be registered to the photoreal imagery. Another issue for me is that I add static aircraft to the airports because I don't want the performance reduction of AI. I have been doing this type of effort recently with Annotator.exe (trees - by hand - ugh), InstantScenery2 (properly …

Hi all, I'm considering purchasing Massive Scenery, but as I fly out of New Jersey I am curious: Is there a large vertical division in the satellite imagery that has a very distinct division between regions? see http://maps.google.com/?ll=40.096622,-74.846179&spn=0.127506,0.253029&t=f&z=13&vpsrc=6&ecpose=39.97854941,-74.84585609,13191.36,-0.12,44.879,0 I realize the developer is at the mercy of the quality of the imagery, but I don't know what source material is being used. If anyone knows and could post any screenies of this area it would be greatly appreciated! cheersAndrew

First I want to thank Larry for all the work he has put into this project. I have started to download the new upgrades, but I noticed that the 3 files for New Jersey are showing Not Found and the 2 files for Vermont at YouSendIt have expired.

It is mentioned on your website that you have found 1/2 meter aerials of the US, including Alaska and Hawaii. Does this mean you have source data to make 1M resolution photo scenery for the entire state of Alaska? If so, I think if you got on this you would have a lot of sales on your hands in my opinion. Big coverage area I know, but what a great product that would be. Brian S.

This forum was suggested by our members, and we are happy to set it up. This forum is a generic Photoreal forum by request. That is, it is a forum where commercial vendors can discuss their projects, and users can get help, swap ideas, and put their toe in the water to see if they might like creating Photoreal addons. Welcome aboard!

I received this letter below from a customer who has found a good configuration using UTX.Can someone please add to this information? Hi Larry,I'm really glad to hear about progress on the upgrades, especially for Texas. At least 90% of my flights are within 200 miles of Houston. The higher definition will greatly help since I use a 67" DLP as a monitor. I think I mentioned before, Sim Savvy works really well with Ultimate Terrain X. Savvy and UTX are great companion products. "Savvy by day, UTX by night!" Everything between the two line up perfectly, even the vehicle traffic on the numerous back roads. UTX corrected many FSX default object locations so, for example, maj…

Good day, all! I have a question to test everyone's collective brains today. I am quite well versed in FSX and fully understand how to install SimSavvy on my machine - I've got frequently flown states on my SSD drive, and non-frequently flown states on my traditional drives. One of the shortcomings of the "default" method for installing S.S. is that each state is broken out into its own scenery folder. This makes it challenging if you want to turn the photoreal OFF for a flight. As an example, with the recent release of the PMDG 737, I found that some of my flights were going to take me from daytime into nighttime. Given the known lack of night masking in photoreal, I wan…
