PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

i HAVE FSX DELUXE WITHOUT SP 1/2 ETC. when I run the PMDG.exe,"your registry does not show a valid fsx installation location" prompt shows up during the installation and installation stops. Tried the registry repair tool but to no avail(I direct it to my fsx.exe and it shows registry created). It would be great if someone could show me a way out. Thankyou. Iam not even sure if my FSX is installed or not, I just have a an FSX.EXE file in FSX folder on my primary drive that I have to run to open FSX. Hello, I usually fly the NGX as a F/O and noticed that my F/D disappeares on final approach, upon capturing the localizer the vertical component disappears before the horizontal one does as well when G/S's alive. I also lose my G/S and localizer indicators around the ADI. Following this I kind of execute a visual landing because there's no more indication on my PFD. However, this happens only at specific airports e.g. Toronto and Vancouver. The captain's F/D is still operating normally. I looked up the FMC settings for displays but couldn't find anything related. Any ideas?

Hi, all! When I load the 737ngx on my surround triple monitors everything looks good but the VC cockpit, which loads totally black, although with instruments lights lit (and working well when clicked on). The outside views of the plane are perfect; the problem is just when you have the VC cockpit on screen. Maybe some tweak I forgot!!! Can someone help me, please, I appreciate.

I have just finished reading the Introduction and launched the 737NGX for the first time. The aircraft is cold and dark, but does not respond to any button push or click. Cannot turn batteries on for example. The 2D click spots do not appear and pressing "menu" of the FMS produces no response. Mousing over knobs produces no "hands" to turn them. I'm have relaunched it over a default aircraft with the engine running with same result. ??? Rob Stevenson

Are these issues normal? 1. The brake temperature after braking is always 0 2. The fuel center pumps are switched on automatically when I fuel center tanks 3. The autobrake does not disarm when I retract the speedbrake (this is mentioned in ground work of a flyaoamedia)

Will there be a split winglets addon/update for the ngx?

I notice that only the active nav database is shown in the CDU. Is there any way of viewing the secondary database, either the previous, backed up one, or one installed from another source, i.e. Navigraph & NavDatPro?

Hey guys! So, I've been enjoying the living crap out of my 737NG, and it's quickly become my favorite. That said, I've got a minor issue with the F/D on the PFD. I usually handfly up to 15-20k for the enjoyment of it, but even at a 0.5 zoom, I'm having issues distinguishing the F/D bars. Their contrast to the background is simply too low for me. Is there a setting somewhere (as with the interior lighting) to modify the color, and possibly even the thickness of these bars? Much obliged! Marcus Frolander

When do most pilots turn off A/P in real life when they want to manually land, at what precise moment during the approach? i'm sure this depends on what's best from a safety standpoint and only the flying crew knows better but let's say you have clear skies and no wind and perfect visibility can a pilot decide to go manual even before intercepting g/s if he wanted to just for the fun of it? is that even an option in an airline? I pretty much do as per tutorials but i wonder if that is standard policy

Kyle, or anyone can you please advise me on how to change the installation? I used to have P3D on my 'E' drive but It now resides on a new 'F' drive but the installer insist's on going to the old drive. Any help appreciated.

Just curious if this is a "user error" or if its actually missing, but i have watched a few videos and 1.) on push back on the DU they pull up a screen to see the rudders and all that move from side to side, but i dont have that button up top, it just switches to a screen to see oil percentage and such, and condensing to the single DU. 2.) I have seen people use the approach map on the CDU and you can switch to see the glide scope guide...i dont have that option either. My approach guide looks much different (pretty much lines to match up the glide slope) Am I missing something? Any advice is greatly appreciated in advance, thanks!

Hello All, I've managed to go through the CFG of each model of the NGX to set the InitialZoom level for the F/O Seat, Overhead Lower etc, but I cant find the entry anywhere to set the InitialZoom for the Captain Side or Virtual Cockpit part. Does anyone know where I can find this entry? Thanks, Alex

I switched to Windows 10,installed FSX and the PMDG-737. Now I intend to select an add-on livery for the 737 and read: There is an app called PMDG Simulation / PMDG Operation Center which allows to download a livery. My problem is there is no such app ( with Windows 7 there was no problem ). Can anybody help ? HubertWerni

Hi all, is there a way of changing the default no. Passengers in FMC to match values to TOPCAT, Flight planner pro etc? Qantas in realife 2 class = 168 in the FMC it is set to 162. Is this editable under the hood to match numbers/weights with these external planning programs. Cheers Jeff

I have searched the web and watched too many youtube videos. I have to assume that the runway remaining information that should be displayed in the lower right coroner of the HUD is not an active feature of this simulation. I assumed that after entering usable runway and glide slope angle in the HCP that it would display after touchdown. If I'm missing something I'd appreciate your help. Everything else is functional. I bought PMDG 737 NGX only a week ago. This is my first FSX payware aircraft. So far I am really impressed. Thanks for the superb product. However, there are a couple of issues that are annoying. Aside from constant CTD's, which I'll ask later. The important issue for me right now is that some crucial key assignments are not working, e.g. F2 and F3 (throttle decrease/increase) or top down view. However F1 (throttle cutoff) works. So it's kinda strange. BTW, these keys are working for other a/c, just not for PMDG. I bet this is a know issue. Please help a newbie.

Hello, I have a question about the PMDG 737-800 NGX and the spoilers not extending fully. First when doing a a control check, they do not extend fully like in the real version as shown here https://youtu.be/jn6HnIrcl4g?t=6m. I assumed it was just a flaw however, I stumbled along someone's full flight video and it worked for them shown here https://youtu.be/2AlvwJqDsKk?t=20m8s. This is what mine looks like: Also, not only during the control check but in the air, the spoiler handle pulled full back looks like this. Is there something this person changed in his config or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, Previously on FSX I never had any issues with the aircraft however since using the steam edition I have encountered an issue where unless I manually put the config in through the FMC, eg selecting the heads up display off. None of the repaints which I am importing through the operations center are bringing the config with them, simply the repaint. The aircraft all have configs in the repaint but the operations center is just not using them. Is there a fix for this? Thanks Jacob

Flying an IAN approach with 737NGX, (Integrated Approach Navigation) the scale ID annunciation indicates FMS. The Scale ID should be FMC not FMS. The possible scale ID annunciations are in FCOM 10.11.14 and there is not such an indication(FMS). The manual says: FMC - (IAN approach) Also here is a picture from Boeing: http://www.boeing.com/commercial/aeromagazine/aero_22/approach_fig3.html It is only a typical error in the implementation of 737ngx, (If I am right) which does not affect the operation of the aircraft but it would be nice to be corrected some time. What is the margin of error when the autothrottle disconnects during the approach? As for speed ... Pretend that I'm flying at a speed VREF 155, but FMC handed speed 150. Does A / T to disconnect?

Hello, I'm looking for a way to find out what derate/assumed temperature to use for the takeoff. I've been doing this mostly just by estimating a value for assumed temp which gives me an N1 setting which kinda looks right. It's been working fine but I hate the missing realism in this. Is there any way to determine the correct value like the airline's dispatch centres do?

I have both the base pack and addon in FSX and have been using them since purchase in 2014. Today I went to fly and got the message that the base pack is not activated. I followed the instructions to activate and it will not accept the activation key I was sent by them when I purchased the product, I get anerror message and it reverts back to asking for the activation code. The error says ERROR: flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage-(50044,71013,1) Anyone help please? Thanks

Hi, I reinstalled FSX completely no longer following a corrupted file FSX, I had already bought the PMDG 777 which works fine him, but then I bought the PMDG 737 base pack, when launching FSX, and I select the 737, an error message appears "initialization of license failed" I can not write my license key and the plane does not.
