PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. Started by Jack C,

If yo are climbing out on AP and lets say you have 15000 set on the mcp. Lets say at 10000 you override the pitch mode by force the control column forward. The AP will got into CWS P and keep its lateral mode in tact. Now approaching 14000, IF I remember correctly the AP SHOULD reengage the pitch control and level off at 14000. I just flew the NGX and didn't do this. It continued the climb right through 15000 and the pitch bars didn't even reengage. Its been a while since I've been on the NG but can someone on the team verify this is what the NG is supposed to do. Jack Colwill

As PMDG states in it's manual B737 NGX that the seat adjustment preset is accordingly Boeing regulations, I compared the Simulator and the FCOM2 (Which I'm thoroughly reading) Than PMDG isn't accurate The cowling should slightly be visible, well, what ever I try no cowling can be set to visible, if seating (eye point) higher, there, yes the cowling is slightly visable (KLM Royal Blue) but then the HUD is WAY to low for ILS shooting .Then back to PMDG preset seat adjustment Is ok but de dimensions of the cockpit versus aeroplane aren't made that it can be adjusted as required by FCOM 2 Quit pitty now the FCOM states that the cowling should be seen …

Hi everyone, I am having a problem that started recently in the PMDG 737 NGX. It's a sort of display issue using external aircraft views within EZCA (EzDok), The cockpit is fine, as are tower view and spot view (rarely used). Again only started recently, sort of last 3 days. I will attach some screenshots of before the issue started and after the now. Really hope someone can help with this. Screenshots: https://postimg.org/gallery/2wtkbkq9i/ Thanks, Corey

On my computer I can install two monitors. What I ideally wanted to achieve is to use one monitor to see the F10 view, enabling me to use all controls. On the second monitor I want to see the view F10 and pressing E ( which shows the outside only ) What I do now is switching for an back,F10,then E,then F10,then E.etc This works of course but I would prefer to assign one monitor to E. Is anybody using two monitors with the set up I described above ? And what is involved ?? Thank you Hubert Werni

  5. Hello, Where can I download the PMDG 737 QRH and "normal procedures" checklist such as before engine start, before taxi etc. Thanks, Matt

  6. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem? I have installed Prepar3D v2 on my D-drive (due to lack of space on my c-drive). FSX is not installed. When I try to run PMDG 737 8900 NGX Base Package FSX.exe, I get the error message "Installation cannot continue. For some reason we lost track of your registry locations for FSX. Please contact MDG's support for help. Is it not possible to install this 737 version on Prepar3D Regards Jan Grenov

So far I assigned a key board letter ( y ) which does the stopping. But how can I program FSUIPC to let me use the foot brakes of the rudder pedal ?? I appreciate your help HubertWerni

Dear helper, Recently I have been looking around for some more PMDG 737-800 liveries. Now, there are more than 600 pages with all the request and small talk. I was wondering if there is a thread, page or website with all the liveries? Best regards, Collin Meerman

I have a 3 monitor system and like to have a cdu docked on the right hand side. Whilst PNDG remembers to put the cdu there when I ask for it the size always needs adjusting. Is there a way to set this , maybe in the config? Also evertime I move off captains view I have to repin the cdu again, and again...

Captains, Anyone here with a VR headset that can explain/show how much of the virtual cockpit is displayed when the zoom in FSX is set to 1.0? The reason I ask is that zoom 1.0 on a 16:9 monitor with the line WideViewAspect=TRUE under the [Display] header in the fsx.cfg is the correct zoom to use to display the scenery and the sense of speed as it would be seen in real life, if the distance between your eyes and the screen is set correctly according to the youtube clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikwToOzX_UA The problem with a monitor is that you can't see the instruments and the outside world on approach at the same time at zoom 1.0. But there is a …

Great video by Aviation Week of extended aerodynamic model for full stall, simulator training. Alaska is the first airline to obtain FAA approval and this simulator training will be a requirement for all by March 2019. High Altitude full stall at 37000ft followed by low altitude at 15000ft. Enjoy! 😀 Zoran Pribakovich

Hi Guys... Having trouble with sudden rudder trim hard over whilst on the ground. In flight the trim seems to have a mind of its own and drifts slowly to one side or the other - not consistant with cross winds so i keep setting back to zero as I dont want that trim on when I land! Any ideas, I have Saitek rudders calib with fsx... they seem to work fine - even the toe brakes!

I have a quick question regaridng install location. I was analizing my install to see if I had messed something up when updating P3D from 3.2 to 3.3, checking incorrect/duplicate folders, etc. (if interested: http://www.avsim.com/topic/495970-help-with-p3d-install-fix-upgrade/) For now I located two folders that seem out of place. One is: C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D Analyzing the contents, it seems this is for the Saitek plugin, and I guess it-s not v2/v3 aware? as It chose to place its exe.xml file in there instead of same path but ending in "v3" Now the other is in the documents folder... I see this: C:\Users\xx…

  17. I just recently returned flight simming and the PMDG B737NGX. I attempted to setup my Saitek rudder pedals using FSUPIC and then attempted a short flight. However when taxiing each time I turned to the left or right the visual effect from the cockpit was that the aircraft appeared to be rolling from side to side like a boat. Also touching the brakes, even lightly, brought the aircraft to a stop with the red text telling me how to release the brakes appearing. Any clues as to what I am doing wrong or haven't done? This started as just a trip from KSNA Orange County John Wayne Airport to PHKO Kona on the big island..., and then I thought what the heck. I have Orbx NSTU Pago Pago so lets go there. Now I am going to keep going 5 hours at a time. What's interesting is PHKO-NSTU-YBBN Brisbane is not an ETOPS flight. Now enroute YBBN to YBRM Broome AU on NW coast. Next will probably be VTBS Bankok to OMDB Dubai since I have those sceneries. Nice way to spend a few days.

I want to use a yoke button to switch the autopilot ( cmdA ) on and off. ( I use a Saitek yoke ) So far I tried the following: In control, press Button/Keys, then assign a yoke button to Autopilot master on/off. This only works to disconnect the autopilot but not to connect. Does anybody have a suggestion/solution ? Thanks HubertWerni NB: I find it somehow difficult to fully concentrate on the PFD and then search the cmdA with the mouse.

I am constructing a smaller version of the overhead panel, I have searched the overhead panel in the sim, but cannot find the TAT test button anywhere on it. My FS9 version definitely contained a push button for the test. In the SDK it is listed as EVT_OH_ ICE_TAT_TEST with the EVENT ID. The wing and engine anti ice switches are of course there, but not the TAT button. Cheers, Neil

Having a bear of a time getting my PMDG acft into FS:SE. A forum suggested re-downloading (my original purchase was in 2013 but I paid for an extended download) because the OC may have changed. Tried to download and I get "PMDG_737_8900_NGX.ZIP.part" which won't unzip. Tried downloading several times with the same result. It would also be appreciated if someone could provide a tutorial on how to get PMDG acft installed on FSX:SE. Forum has always been helpful. I'm trying to use FSPassengers P3D, And I finally figured out how to use it with the NGX but what happens is, Id set the fuel to something random like 33% in the FMC and 19% in FSPx and it keeps fickering fornm 19% to 33%, Is there a way to disable PMDGs weight or do I have to disable FSpax Tyler C

  23. I have noticed I never get VNAV calculations on the CHANL2 EHF off KSNA. This is the only one that fails to calculate which of course makes VNAV disconnect. Any idea why this departure is causing a hiccup? Not that big of a deal since its just dropping back a level of automation. It just seems strange. Thanks! Justin

  24. After a reinstall of the NGX (I used my installer from 04/01/16) into the new P3D 3.4, I do not have anything displaying in the HGS when I flip it down. Best to just do a new download of NGX from the PMDG website to fix? Thank you!

little confused here...depending where i am looking I feel like i get two different answers so here is why i am posting this, the question is, should your wheels touch the asphalt past the aiming point (purple oval) or before? this figure suggests that the L area is where your wheels should touch the asphalt, so at or after the aiming point (purple oval) but the below figure has the "touchdown zone markings" before the aiming point. I assume that anywhere after the threshold is ok but where is the correct landing spot, before of after the 2 aiming marking?
