I've been watching this video: I took notes and compared them with the FCOM volume 1 supplied with the NGX.My questions: (some related to the vid and some not) - In the video, both A and B hydraulic systems are switched on as part of preflight.I read in the FCOM that this is only done if the "nose gear steering lockout pin" is installed.If it's not installed, only system B should be on because system A may cause unwanted tow-bar movement.How do we know if it's installed or not in our NGX? - the after start checklist calls for the engine start levers (fuel cutoff) set at IDLE detent.From what I can tell, there's only off and on.     SO my dad bought the NGX for me today and he is away for 2 weeks on businness trip and they activation key does not work and it is not showing up as a purchase in account and I dont know what to do. Any ideas?????And I already installed the aircrafts and liveries through the installer

  4. No CTD's so far, guess I'm lucky. Every now and then the system freezes/hangs though, but recovers after a few seconds. Installed the latest hotfix. Problem on take-off: can't keep the aircraft on the centerline, it won't react on my rudder pedals at all! I checked with the "system screen" on the lower CDU and they were/are working all right. Anybody? I use FSUIPC but without the calibration. For everything else: I'm still smiling flying this one (and looking around in the cockpit), great! Greetings, Ype Reitsma

  6. i would like to ask if is possible in future for the 737 ngx and future products like 777 to include/implement inside the FMC at the voice simulation also the damage from tail strike during the take off and broken gear/tire (no visual effects) during hard landing. then use the function maintenance (always inside the fmc) for repair it. what do u think about this and all the pmdg customers?

    I have been flying the NGX since the release day and it has been performing flawlessly so far. Yesterday I was carrying out some landing circuits training at LGAV (FlyTampa) and after three consecutive circuits with no flaw at all (two on autoland and one on hand flying), during final approach on fourth circuit, at 400 feet agl, stable on ILS, two A/P engaged, the aircraft had a sudden and fast roll on the right, GPWS started to "scream", both A/P disengaged and the aircraft hit the ground before any manual attempt to recover attitude could be carried out.   10. I am flying the tutorial 1 flight. After engaging TO/GA speed rapidly increases, but when it reaches about 85 knots the "N1" annunciation in the FMA changes to "THR HLD" and the plane almost stops accelerating, and is only doing about 125 at the end of the Gatwick runway. The only way to save the situation is to push the throttle forward. Am I doing something incorrectly? N1 page of FMC is correctly set.

    I'm wondering how many people having CTD's with the NGX is pehaps an issue with faulty memory modules. I've read numerous posts regarding CTD's and OOM's but nobody has ever raised the issue of faulty modules. Aside from recently upgrading my PC I haven't worked on PC's for quite some time but years ago faulty memory modules were a frequent occurance. Just a thought......

    I'm just curious if we can expect the second tutorial, this time going wayyyy deeper than the first and covering all the procedures from the cold and dark cockpit to shutting down the aircraft at the gate, to be released any time soon. I'm really waiting this tutorial because I feel there are many things I'm skipping when preparing my flight, and I'm afraid I'm going to miss some item that might fail during my IVAO online flight. Can you tell us how close you are to finishing it up? Weeks, a month? Thank you very much, this aircraft amazes me every time I fly it.

    Before I took off, Zone Temp indicators for fwd and aft cabin alerted me. So, I took QRH and tried to solve it but with no success. Soon after take off, cont cab zone temp light turned on too. Any way to extinguish those lights? All temps are about 20*C Lj. Prodanovic

  16. I'm having a strange problem that just started yesterday. I downloaded the new PMDG NGX the day it was released and had ZERO problems for almost 2 weeks. Last night, i started FSX and every time i loaded the NGX i would get a CTD (crash to desktop) I thought long and hard what had changed, I did assign some buttons a couple of days ago but it worked after that ok. So i removed the Modules folder from FSX and re-started FSX. Now the PMDG NGX loads and works fine!? If I put the module folder, ie; FSUIPC back in the FSX folder, it causes a crash of FSX to the desktop. The error says it's in the NGX.dll so why does or why is something in FSUIPC causing this that didn't…

    Hi, For those of you who fancy a challenge try flying a 737-800 with the ETOPS version, HUD and Short Field Package into Dutch Harbor (PADU) just under 1200m long. Remember you need enough fuel to be able to divert to cold bay or back to Anchorage. There is some Dutch Harbor payware scenery and if you have it you can programme the GPS(E) procedure into the FMS and fly it in LNAV and VNAV before breaking off to land visually. Good Luck!!!

  21. Yes this really is weird and has happened three times to me now. I have searched the forum but not found anything (although the Avsim search engine leaves much to be desired). On three occasions now I have landed the 737NG-800, which from 1500 feet AGL, were in full manual control - the autopilot and A/T were both off and flaps set at 30 with gear down. Autobrake was set to level 3. After t/down I hit F2 to get reverse thrust and the reversers activated ok. When down to about 60kts I hit F1 to idle the throttles and applied manual braking, so disconnecting the autobrake. But the plane kept going and did not appear to be slowing.     Hi, I've got a question about IGS approaches, and the correct way to input these (either into the radio or the FMC). I'm flying the 737-NGX into LSGS (Sion, Switzerland). I've chosen IGS RWY 25 as the approach as it looked challenging/interesting, however i'm having difficulty programming the IGS approach into the FMC. I fly the following route: LSZH -> LSGS SID WILG5 FRIW105 SANETD MOTMOT086/25 The last entry into the FMC is part of the approach chart - i.e. 25 DME from MOT VOR on radial 086. I then initiate a left turn to 247deg to intercept the IGS (108.35, 246deg, ISI). There's no way of inputting ISI IGS on the DEP/ARR page of the FMC (it simply isn't l…

    Have been running the NGX for about a week since the latest hotfix was installed and have had 2 freeze situations. The first was associated with a hardware issue, so I am discounting that one. The second was on departure from KSLC about 15 minutes into the climb to cruise. It paused about 1500 ft below the cruise altitude for about 2 minutes. Run on a Intel Quad 3.2; 8G Ram; nVidia 560GTX with 3headtogo digital, trackIr, ASE, REX HD clouds, FSAltitude and and GEX N America.I thought the freezes were a thing of the past but I wanted to get you a ticket off as well.     Hi all-Recently installed EZdok in conjunction with the new PMDG 737. Everything works fine except I've developed a small problem along the way. I used to be able to hit the 'S' key and get an external aircraft view. Doesn't seem to want to do that anymore. I can get to spot view via thetop menu so I know that the view is still available, just not through EZdok anymore. I've made no changes that I know of that may have caused this, but....Thanks,Mark

Looking at page 43 in the Introduction and Use documentation it says that you should be able to press the MENU button for 2 seconds until the screen comes alive and you should also be able to turn it OFF the same way but I can't get that to work. When I try pressing the MENU button nothing happens and the screen remains dark...? What I have found though is that you're able to bring the screen alive by clicking the CDU screen to bring up the 2D version of it. Is this something that changed since writing the documentation or is it a problem at my end of some kind?
