Hey all I was flying out of KTPA the other day. I forget which runway ATIS said was in use, but when I went to select in in my FMS, it wasn't listed. I've also noticed quite a few airports where the runway in FS versus the FMS is off by one (25L would be shown in FMS as 26L). Anybody know what the problem is?

Hey all, Last new thread I promise! Every so often FSX is crashing (full pc crash, not recoverable) and my speakers make a high pitched squeel! Any idea whether this is FSX or PMDG? doesn;t happen in any other apps! cheers :)

Hi there, Once I install the aircraft, I can start it up once, then every other time I try to load up the NGX, crash to desktop with fatal errors and everything, its when i click fly now, it comes up with the white box but then after 1 percent it closes again.

Has anyone experienced any performance issues with the latest hotfix?I don't know if it's true, or am I just imagining things but I seem to be getting a bit lower frames than I was getting previously. The difference is between having about 35FPS minimum on intensive scenery with bad weather to having it dip below 28FPS in rare but incredibly annoying situations.

Hey guys. First, I apologise for all my questions. My only promise is that I will give back to the community as much as I take from it! I have a few questions about airways. I didn't used to know they existed, but does anybody have a guide to them? If I want to plan routes with the 737NGX (I am a LONG way from doing that) can I use real world flight plans? I'm not sure how many of these routes exist within the addon. Also, where I live (Tonbridge, UK) I always hear/see jets flying over head with their landing lights on. they are headed west for London Gatwick (I believe this would be Runway 26L). Do you think the airway that these jets are on would exist in the addon? I w…

Has anybody been able to carry out a cross-bleed engine start ? I've tried several times but can't get the second engine to start. I get N2 rotation to 15 %as required but there's no lightup when I turn on the fuel switch. (yes - the fuel pumps are on !) Im assuming it doesn't matter which engine is started first. I would be grateful of confirmation from anyone either that it works or doesn't. Regards Fergus Cameron

Hi all- I'm trying to use the fuel calculator in Vroute. It asks for 'payload' in lbs. What does this represent and how do I figure it out? It gives a maximum but as I mentioned, I don't know if this is cargo or cargo plus passengers minus the weight of the aircraft or... Thanks,Mark

If stopped on the ground, my CH throttles will bring the engines back to about 24%, a good idle position. However during the landing flare, the same hardware throttle position only brings the engines back to 35% making it difficult to hit the touchdone zone. I am using FSINN for calibration and thought about the manuals warning to use FSX but again, while on the ground, the engines come back to 24%. In autoland, touchdown was at about 33% Are these power settings normal or do you have any idea why the same hardware throttle position are different when stopped versus a 120 knot landing flare? Bit of an odd question maybe? I was wondering if there was any way to improve the depth of field in fsx?When I fly over certain areas that have a lot of trees, they blur out of focus when you view from above the plane. Is there any way of changing the settings in the cfg to make a wider area remain in focus?If there are say mountains a few miles away, is there a way of bringing them in to focus along with the terrain around it? Hi Guys since loading last hotfix my panning in vc and outside view is dog slow, reloaded fsiupc - fsx.cfg - yoke calibration any motherboard and hardware updates just to be sure but still doing it anyone have an idea on this, also settings for pan-rate ? thanks.

Hi,I tried to use the new vrinsight mcp with the NGX but curiously it does not work. The keymapping via FMC is okay and testing the keys combination also; I use the vrinsight soft SeialFP2 to connect the tool and map the keys....but almost nothing works, except for example "z" for autopilot on/off.Is there any trick to manage that correctly.....?Thanks for your help, and any suggestions.Cedric

Dear PMDG staff Your last product 737NGX is really fantastic, however I would like to give you some recommendations or ideas for the upcoming update. First of all, corrections about freezing and fsx crash issues. (I´m using W7 ULTIMATE 64b english version). Second, I´m a full 2d cockpit user and let me tell you that is very annoying to change diferent panels views on this aircraft. I don´t know if you can do something like the previous 737. for example, I´m inside the 2d main panel and when I want to change to the pedestal view I must change to virtual cockpit...make adjustments...then came back again to the 2d view...etc Third, Any posibility to change the MCP in only on…

I was wondering if there was a way where you could land the NGX without the pilot at the controls. Maybe this is something I saw in a movie, but to land a plane without any pilots at the controls, is this possible? Basically in the movie, both pilots were dead and they said that the plane landed itself because they said the airport where they landed it had some sort of new autoland system (Boston, in the movie). I know how to do an autoland, but not sure how to do what I'm describing.

i have a pretty high end system so i can afford to run FSX in DX10 preview mode every now and then. I know that PMDG advices against using it and i know about the issues that come with it, so 99 out 100 times i will fly with DX10 preview mode = OFFBut, sometimes i like to fly it with ON because of the water effects and the moving shadows in the VC. However I noticed that there are no moving shadows in the VC (like the JS41 does) Question,Is this correct?Will there be an implementation for it or are you (PMDG) competely going to ignore DX10 altogether with the NGX? Ryan can you please post those settings for us? If there is a way to get rid of the S-Turning and Autopilot hunting issue and still have turbulence enabled that would definately be a plus. I kinda miss the rough weather when a storm is around.

Hi all, I realise the Team are working on SP1 and the aircraft is complex. I have managed to overcome the Freezes without using the Hotfixes just recently. Today I loaded a flight from EGPF-EBBR some 490mls. using the TUTORIAL but deviated from the descent using Vnav and used FLChange as I could manage the speed and FMC alt constraints, I passed the first constraint of 16,000ft and heading for the next still adhereing to the info on the FMC when suddenly the speed tape started increasing from 250knots to 300knots and no warnings given either on EICAS or FMC. Does anyone have some idea what might have caused this. Thanks in advance. richard welsh.

Can anyone tell me if the CDU has its own lighting control for the keys when undocked? I know how to adjust the screen brightness but not the keys (I haven’t had a lot of time to investigate the manuals as yet, not sure if this is a problem or not yet). I use the CDU on a touch screen so key illumination is very helpful. Thanks Rich

Planning a flight at ground, I found a minor issue regarding step climb.In CLB page there is a speed restriction usualy 250/10000, but when by any reason I program a step climb in CRZ page that restriction just disapears and no way to put it back again in scratchpad and line select it back. The same happens in DES page with 240/10000 it disapears. Everything goes back to normal when I delete the step Climb. Im Just reporting that minor issue, and my appologies if that wasnt an issue, I did not have time to read all manuals yet. Regards,Alexandre
