A lot of the UDP flooding issues were corrected in HOTFIX #3. Well done PMDG. But there is some remaining major UDP Flooding mechanisms, so now might be the time to ensure that both PMDG & users are aware of it. (Especilaly those who are using Simconnect on their SIM, for other purposes) As this particular UPD flooding has not yet been mentioned on the forum, it should be put on record, so that it can be included in any list of BUGS, for consideration to be fixed. This flooding continues, even when the "Terrain avoidance system" is turned off. What is strange is that any "CREATE OBJECT" for these "delet Objects"are NOT flooding UDP packets, as one might ex…

Less than 24hrs after posting I have a graphical issue I believe to be a bug?I was not rude, did not put down anyone, gave praise to the product, and even got a tip and some encouragement. After the last two (unfortunately again condescending) post on integrating a home cockpit with the NGX ( a subject I am just starting to explore as I was under the impression that PMDG would make available a SDK for hardware manufactures to use for hardware integration) The thread was locked.Could not it be left open for perhaps future technical discussion? For someone else to chime in with perhaps other things to try?A technical explanation perhaps behind the phenomenon besides one PMDG…

Me and Ian Beggs have noticed that loading the 747, then the NGX afterwards seems provide a huge FPS increase, can anyone try this out to confirm?

Hello everyone, I posted about this a few days ago and I thought I had fixed it, but it seems I havent. All of the writing and labels in the cockpit are blurry until I zoom all of the way in. Before you ask, yes I have read the documentation, tried various settings both using the FSX display options, read every post in this forum with the search word of "blurry," and I tried moving the graphics controls to the GPU controls instead of them being application controlled. Nothing. As far as I can tell, it has to do with the Filtering. If I turn filtering off, the blurriness goes away, and instead everything gets edgy and terrible looking. Also, weirdly, when I tried setting t…

Hi ladies and gents. I, like many others in this forums, am positively impressed by the NGX to the point where I have found enjoyment in flightsimming again. In my opinion the real advantage of PMDG over the vast majority of developers is that their products, provided you have the proper hardware, are basically error free. I´m sure you have experienced a great deal of frustration with aircraft that never lived up to expectations or were just basically unfliyable. So the NGX steps in and it hasn´t been a single night were I haven´t fired up FSX. A big thank you to PMDG for their efforts. In my new second FS life I have decided however to undust another PMDG gem, namel…

Hi, Ok was doing some night flying tonight with the NGX and the same graphic bug I've complained about in the past when day flying reared its ugly head even more so while night flying.Have a look at these screen shots. They are full 1200x1920 captures with a 100 pixel black border added for contrast at the edges. These are four different aircraft shot over the same area at the same time of night.1st is default 737, 2nd is Captain 757, 3rd is iFly, and 4th is the NGX.Click on each pic to render it full size and look along the top edge of the first 3, then the NGX,These lines and dots just ruin the suspension of disbelief for me.It reminds me of a monitor with massive hot pi…

Hi, kind of a technical question. According to the FCOM, the FMC alert light should illuminate if the FAIL light on CDU(s) is illuminated, or an alerting message exists for both CDUs, or test switch is in position 1 or 2 Now that my navdata is out of date, the message pops up in the FMC and the alert light is illuminated, so far so good. But if let's say drag is required (which I think is shown on both CDU's), it is not illuminated. Or do I remember incorrectly and it is only shown on only 1 CDU? Maybe someone with a thorough understanding of the system can highlight under which conditions the alert light illumi…

Loyal customer that I am, I own 747-400X, MD-11, JS-41, and the NGX. I have all of them currently installed except for the 747. I'd like to reinstall it, but I'm worried about overwriting AIRAC or something else that has been updated with 737NGX or one of the other latest releases. Do I need to uninstall them all, and then reinstall in release date order, or can I just slap this on top and be done with it? Thanks! Joe Legander

In Nick's AOA video showing you around the NGX prior to release he enthused about being able to see the wingtip or winglet from the Captains seat over his left shoulder. I have tried to see this but am unable to recreate the view. Is this because I don't have TrackIR or is it a selection in the PMDG Menu? Although my system is severely challenged, and the frame rates are down, this is still one of the best if not the best aircraft I have flown in any of the Microsoft FlightSims to date. I started with FS5 so we are going back some. Thank you PMDG.

Hello; I have a couple questions regarding the bleeds off takeoff procedure. I've seen it in real life here in Mexico City when the plane is heavy, we suffer from hot temperatures and high airport elevation (7320 ft aprox). How do you determine if a bleeds off is required and what is achieved out of this ? Is this simulated in our PMDG aircraft ? Could some one be kind enough to provide the procedure for this... Thank You ! SincerelyJesus H

Guys.. I have a silly question on reversal thrust.. It seems F2 from the keyboard does not work with NGX and CDU does not have a mapping for reversal thrust. Does anyone has ever tried to use keyboard for reversal thrust? Currently, I use Saitek Yoke calibrated by FSUIPC and I would like to compare the setting if I use keyboard.

Hi all, I purchased the 737NGX on the 5th August 2011. Have been flying it since then, so have had no life!!! I have finally got around to uploading some pictures of one of my landings at Innsbruck. The landing was a manual landing as that is what I always do on nice evening in FSX!! As for FPS they are around half the of the default 737. For users of Concorde X the 737NGX is about 2-5 FPS less than Concorde X. Please download the images, as my website host won't allow me to upload anymore than 5 images.Sorry for this problem. Anyway enjoy the pictures!!

I have installed all three hot-fix's with no issues at all! Do not forget that there is more going on with your sim than just the NGX. Remember, computer systems need to be considered. So far one complete flight with hot fix 3 and everything is fine. In fact, I swear my ground scenery looks much better, and have increased frame rate, on ground, at 1500ft and high altitude. PMDG built an incredible plane, very complex, and they have changed the way we all enjoy FSX! There will be pop up issues, and they are addressed immediately. Trust them, they are in the cockpit with us. If it doesn't work, they will fix it. Do you have any doubt about that? Happy flying!!!
