Hi All Curious about if RW 737 NG pilots enter the approximate star when programming before departure or leave it blanK until TOD, I had an issue changing star at TOD as it screwed up my waypoints confirming you just select the new LSK at the start of the new star and LSK to the start of the old star to replace.

Anyone else notice this? After landing and the plane begins to lose lift the wings start to drop lower and then they shoot up and down really fast. It looks very odd almost like a glitch. Not complaining or anything just didn't know if I'm the only one experiencing this or not.

I am using ASE for weather, and am trying to figure out where to get the wind speeds for proper cruise and descent to put into the LEGS and DES pages of the FMS. Any tuturials for this kind of entry. Thank you

So I was on an approach to ENGM ILS 19L when I hit go around. Suddenly the fps went from 20-25 to 8-9 and the whole sim was lagging. I changed a waypoint in the FMC and then FSX froze. Hope this gets fixed in an update....never had the sim freeze on me or drop in fps so suddenly.

When I first got NGX when it was released I saw frame rates as high as 70 to 80 at FACT . Not a busy place. Then when flying around major European cities around 40 FPS . I installed liveries and have had one freeze. I then installed latest hotfix and all went well ,but no frame rates change. I uninstalled NGX today and reinstalled it as well as the hot fix straight after without starting FSX. I ran it at KLAX and saw 75 FPS as an average. I must note that the 2600k is clocked to 4:5 ghz. I then ran it at default and frame rates dropped to a 58 FPS average. These are pretty good frame rates especially at KLAX with traffic on max.Autogen is normal as always and all other sl…

Dear pilots, I hope this will be the final call for my problem. I already posted twice but no solution. The problem: Even in the selection menu my NGX has a large grey/red square, cutting the a/c in two parts. The squares are only visible from behind. No exterior lights are working, switches have no effect. Attempts I tried: - Reinstall several times- Highmemfix added- New graphic card No effect at all. Could this be an activation issue? Conflict with other software? Missing textures? My system specs: E6750 2.66 G Dual Core, 3 G RAM, W7-64, Graphic GTS450. Any help appreciated. Fred

She is working beautifully!!! I had a combination of factors that I think was causing my issues.... The plane would take extremely long to load into the free flight menu, then even longer once you got into the actual flight, I had a suspicion that the sim was struggling to find and acces the NGX dlls, as when I recreated the fsx.cfg, it would take extremely long to ask to register and approve the dlls, so that was the first of my problems. So either my FSX install had gone for a ball of .... or my Windows registry was corrupted, I don't know, but find it strange that these porblems only popped up after the NGX install, anyway my hard drive that had FSX installed on then …

Hi everyone,How many users are using a set paging file to manage there virtual memory, and are having CTD's. Following Nick's tuning guide, I set a paging file of 3172 (have 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ). When setting up windows 7 64 after building my new system a few months ago, I tuned everything including FSX following the guide, and also Ryan's as well. Question, Does anyone have any documentation of what the allowed formats /syntax is of the SIDSTAR files? I'm working on converting an old NG SIDSTAR file for fs9 so I can do RNAV approaches into NZQN. Through trial and error i've found that the DEP/ARR pages wil only show any data if the following points hold:1. The runways in the runway block have to match the designations in the scenery definition2. The old file included COLOCATED FIXes. Including one wil also blank the ARR page for NZQN. Flew late tonight and had the pleasure of looking through a BBJ that was parked next to me. This one had EVS installed! Any chance you guys would add EVS to the NGX? May be a little tricky in FSX since the real system use FLIR and a special camera. May be a way to get it in fsx. Would be nice for bad weather and night time approaches. I was using the NGX and used the SUNST2 approach into RW25R at KLAS. I verified using the Star charts that all altitudes and speeds were correct and they matched the FMC. However something seemed strange. The route brought me very low around the mountains surround Hoover Dam. I crossed Lake Mead at 6000FT. Is this because KLAS elevation is around 2200FT? or are the mountains in FSX placed in the wrong spots. It just doesnt seem right that I flew so close to the ground. In fact most of the final approach was below PAPI (all four were red) What is going wrong here?

I'm sure that this has been discussed before... I'm trying to re-start the APU for ETOPS use. However, I keep getting a APU fault with low oil psi. I keep clearing in the CDU. Service based failures are disabled as well as all other failures, but I can't get it to start. Am I doing something wrong or is a know bug? Thanks!! FDX706

Hello I have been toying around with Fsbuild and ASE and finally I have winds aloft pulled into the Fsbuild flightplan although they often do differ from the winds aloft in ASE so I would assume best to use the ASE winds aloft for the FMC input and the Fsbuild winds for fuel burn planning anybody any advice there does that sound reasonable as I am sure ASE will reflect what winds are actually in the sim the FSBUILD winds seem a bit out of wack other question I have is when i go into the legs page and hit data to enter the winds for waypoints they dont all have the dotted line so i cant add the winds, strange because on earlier FMC programming I am pretty sure all the wayp…

I have not had any problems with panel freezes or CTD's when I don't use the FMS. Although, one outa five flights when I use the FMS, I get a freeze. Here is a repeatable situation that has been able to create a panel freeze every single time. FMS set up for 2 to 4 hour flight along Jet routes and in Cruise. Everytime I press the execute button after changing the destination in the route page I will get a panel freeze, then if I continue to try and operate the CDU a CTD will occur in roughly 15 seconds. More a WORK-AROUND than a FIX. If you are unable to register your PMDG 727NGX, , (or any other addon, or even FSX itself), you might like to try this, and report back if it allows YOU to register the 737. Re-Boot Computer.Create a NEW account, and give that new account ADMINISTRATOR Rights.Re-Boot and log into that new Administrator account.Run FSX,( as admin for that new account) and see if the registration will now work. If it does, or if it does not, you can always re-login back with your original account, and proceed to Delete that temporary Admin account you previously created. (you may not want a multitude of admin account floating around on your PC.. security…

Hey Guys I was doing a flight from KLGA - KBOS, for some odd reason, once I reached Beeges, my plane dropped like a cannonball. Once I regain contro, all was good, then once I reached approach,again it sway to the right straight to the ground. I was wondering has anyone ever come across this strange behavior? David

Does anyone have an answer to Activating 737NGX without reinstalling one's entire system? When I install 737NGX, at no stage during the installation do I get to add my key to activate. The program installs no problem, but I am unable to use any function in the cockpit, as all I see is a Black Arrow Cursor, rather than a Hand Cursor. The Plane flies, but again, no animations apart from the landing gear. I have had the program for a couple of weeks now and am still waiting on an answer! It's getting pretty frustrating, not to mention, a waste of time and money. PLEASE HELP! Matt

Hi,I would like to know how many failures you get with this menu active?Right now I have about 100 hours on the NGX. What could happen if I turn this menu option on now?And how big is the chance of getting some real serious failures like engine flame outs etc? If this is turned on, do you get failures on every flight?
