I've noted the advice about re-loading on page 0.00.22 of the Introductory Manual regarding NGX's dislike of being "reloaded" and the recommended workaround. Does this need for workaround apply equally if you're (say) practising a particular approach and want to start over, reloading the same approach setup again? Sounds like you do, but just checking, because it takes a bit of time to reload the "unwanted" variant and then load the desired setup in your original variant, just when you're trying to shoot as many approaches as possible over the early-morning coffee! When the autobrake system is actually applying the brakes, does the red/white BRAKE message get displayed by FSX? I'm having trouble getting the autobrake to work (keep running off the end of runways) and I wanted to know if I should see the normal FSX indication that the brakes ae being applied. Another landing just now and another panel freeze while FSX hums along in the background with no issues. Just absolutely fed up with this software. Over three years and yet it still has a showstopper bug and yet even though numerous people are reporting it, not one flipping word from pmdg. If pmdg was a brick and mortar store, I would have returned with the receipt. Not even saying anything to the numerous people having this issue which basically forces one to shut down FSX to reset everything is pitiful. Far be it for RSR or anyone to grace their own forums to at least let us know what is going on with this major bug!

For the life of me I cannot work this one out. I arm the A/T button, then press either the screw in 2D panel (there is even a "click" noise when I press it) or the TO/GA button on the throttle in the 3D Cockpit and nothing happens what so ever. Its the same when i advance to 60%, or have the throttle at idle. Any ideas?

Hi, after installing the latest Hotfix, I haven't got any more freezes, but now I encountered a new problem I haven't read about by now. My NGX didn't freeze, it was still completely controllable but only in the 2D-Cockpit and also all 2D-panels. My josystick and thrust lever still interacted with the aircraft, as well as the keyboard I just wasn't able to click any knobs or switches in the VC anymore. So the didn't freeze completely it just refuses to take any imputs from my mouse. A FSX restart did not help! It still frozen... Anyone else here who had a similiar problem like me?

Haven't had a single issue with NGX except pure joy and educational experience ... now a HUGS mystery. Two approaches into LIBR [LIMLLIBR], all going just fine until short final when I would have expected AIII mode to kick in on the HUGS. But never did. It clearly works for other people, so what am I doing wrong here please? Is it possible to get Preflight Complete in the CDU, I am trying but i just can't. And my Saitek throttle is spiking, which is causing A/T to disconnect at Takeoff. How does i fix my spiking throttle i know it isn't a NGX issue but please help me solve it any way. Now i have selected AT manuel override to never. But it isn't optimal.

I have a few questions about the charts. On a SID chart a waypoint is given with an altitude. Is this the altitude that the plane must be above when passing a said waypoint? For example I am following the Silow One Departure out of KPHX. It shows the waypoint silow with an altitude of 15000FT next to it. Is this rule the same for star charts? do I need to be above or below the listed altitude.

In the past I have often used parts of the 2D panel components from within the VC by typing shift-1 etc.. Following my old habit in the NGX, this caused an issue on my machine (Win 7 64-bit, GTX-580 card) as shown in the attached images. I think I got to issue shown in the thrid image by cycling through shift-1 to shift-9, then to the outside view (F11) and back to the VC (F9) and I got it in two separate runs. Would have to try to reproduce it again. The popup screens (clicking into the PFD etc.) look ok, but inside the panel they look corrupted. It's not a biggie for me as the VC is excellent to use, just an old habit of mine. Regards,Siggy

Was at TNCM earlier, taxing to the runway when I realized because I was in a hurry I was still running the APU BUS and like an idiot I flipped the APU switch to off before transfering the APU BUS over to the Generator BUS. Also I should have left the APU on anyway because it was an ETOPs flight and just switched the BUS's and closed the APU Bleed. Naturally now when I flipped the switch to turn the APU off without transferring the BUS's the aircraft went to battery power. When this happened my FPS nose dived from 27 fps down to 0.8 fps and I was no longer able to do anything at that frame rate. Only thing I could do was load my last save at the gate and start again. Hi Guys, for those of you who are interested: I ordered the Captains set (737NGX) mid -august, via UPS Express mail. It took exactly two weeks before the package was delivered at my place.I live in Holland, about 25 km east of EHBK. Everything was in good order. Fantastic reading!! I had to think back to the good old days of Bruce Artwick and his FS for the Commodore 64.The 737NX's documentation in PDF alone is in Mb als large as many thousands of this first FS program!! If you guys feel comfortable enough to issue an official service pack that makes ready for the 600/700, does that also mean the SDK will be ready for release as well?Lots of addons are waiting on it...like my poor F/O that said he was stuck in traffic on August 4th and I'm still waiting for him to show up.

The cause of my problems was, suprisingly, having my controllers connected via a USB hub. I had a CH yoke, CH throttle quadrant, Sidewinder steering wheel (which I actually use as rudder :) and a mouse all connected through a four port USB hub. After a gazillion reinstalls and config changes I decided to remove all controls and try with the yoke only. Suddenly all stability issues were gone! Just love flying this Aircraft. Took ages to work out how to get to/ga to activate.eg making sure both FD on all now ok.However after landing and then trying to go again I cant get the To up in the upper engine display to do another to/ga.Has anyone have any idea how to reset for another take off. Hi: Can someone direct me to a tutorial in the PMDG manuals on the HUD. Like exactly how do I use it. I see how to read it in vol. II when it explains the symbols, but which mode do I use and when, and what does "standby" mean on the control panel below? Hi guys!! I am having issues with the El Al Livery.For some reason the MTW on this aircraft is a lot lower than others (around 76 maximum) while on other liveries it's around 170.Any suggestion on why this is happening? Also fuel doesn't load well on that model. Thanks much in advance, Teo

just recently purchased a new PC laptop (Alienware M17XR3). Specs. Interl 7 2800 core 2.3 (Turbo Boost to 3.4) 8GIG DDR3 Nvidia 580 2GIG. Honestly speaking i was thinking it was going to blow FSX out of the park. I followed every detail that is available to set up a clean FSX, but this software is a beast, or maybe just not taking advantage of most of my new specs. To be able to use all addons including NGX and high end airports. i had to disable Light bloom, an option i was hoping to taking adavantage of, but it is difinitly quick loading times. Here i come tweaking. i can go on and on about what i had to do to get above 15 fps, but i rather just stay quite. sorry felt l…
