PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I know different things have been posted around, but I think it would be helpful if PMDG posted just exactly what will be included with SP1. What fixes, what additions, is the new navdata with RNP RF going to be included, etc...?Thanks!

1. What usely is the best alt for capture VOR/LOC or dos this not matter if you are on 7000 or 4000(thought maybee if you are to low its harder to get captured) ? 2. Some time master cautions lights bit I cant see any errors in the panel or FMC? 3. Setteing RNW lenght in HGS, is this important, I do not set it and have no problem with the landings ? 4. N1 and Speed in the MCP display, what the difrent, tryed both but seams no diffrent ? 5. Whats the max speed for using "speed break" ? Thx ;)

I bought the 737NGX today. The installation went smoothly as did my first flight, EGKK-EHAM.I believe the FPS are better than the MD-11 as it seems to be smoother to me.Excellent aircraft.

Hi, Will be purchasing the NGX this week, just getting FSX prepped, FS9 is still my main sim for various reasons but I have a question regarding the NGX in FSX. Is there any problems running the VC on my main 50" screen and the MCDU, EICAS etc on two smaller 14" screens? This is how I have the MD11 and 744F on running on FS9. Specs are Win7 64bit Nvidia 560ti Cheers

So, just for info.I formated my SSD, then installed fresh windows7 x64 with SP1 and latest update, fresh FSX (c:\FSX), boyote tweeak....etc.But now, I have more CTD when I choose end to flight !!! Blahh.So, I hope SP1 will fix it.

I have discovered a way for me to eliminate reading 99% of the 'opinions' now, I just search for Simons posts, read his, skip the rest, then go fly... Thanks Simon! What lead me to this is the latest rant on 'landing attitude'.... I have made numerous flights in the NGX, and just as I do in the real world, I set the plane up, get established, then look out the window and land the thing. Thats what windows are for and in 40+ years of flying I havent broke one yet. Your milage may vary

Is the PMDG B737 NGX compatible with Go Flight's MCP Pro and EFIS modules? this is becoming a determining factor for me.

Just curious if anyone has noticed the following with the NGX. If I begin a flight in the NGX at FSDT JFK, the trees at the airport "flicker" from winter to summer textures. If I start in a default aircraft, this does not happen. If you load a default aircraft first and then switch to the NGX, all is fine. I actually have reformatted and installed the NGX again and then the FSDT sceneries that I own. Nothing else was installed on the vanilla FSX and its service packs. I have tried two various Nvidia drivers and they both do the same thing. Anyone else noticed this? I posted at FSDT already and nothing in that forum proved to work. Hi, first I would say how great is this aircraft, but after that I have to mention a bad issue I have using it as normally I do with the others add-on I have. Through FSUIP macro and LUA files, the VR Insight MCP Combo and the Saitek Multiswitch I am able to execute all the actions without any mouse click or any button on the keyboard. This happens also for the PMDG 737NGX with the exception for the starting engines: as there is not in place the 2D throttle panel there is no way to start the engines withous opening the 3D panel and click with the mouse on the engines buttons.. I have flown 25 flights so far and just finished the most enjoyable one just now. Was flying from Dublin Ireland (EIDW) to Athens Greece (LGAV). The reason It was my best flight so far in the NGX was because it was flawless. No issues at all and the aircraft performed exactly as I expected it to. The reason I had not been enjoying it fully was because of some things I was doing wrong. 1) Was setting the cost index like I set my 747-400 and thats too high at 80. Set it to 40 and then the NGX did a more non radical descent at 284 knots instead of 330 like before. 2) I calculated my VREF +5 then added half the wind and all of the gust and subtracted 10. FTX/Orbx is giving away a really nice free airport for the PNW owners and is including it in the expanded demo area. Nice town, nice airport, people flow, grass flow, background sounds (really cool) and the $100 hambuger at an ILS type airport that will handle the PMDG 737NGX, alias Navy C-40. Ray

Hi,this service who seems to be necessary for functionality of the NGX and other PMDG-Products, it tries to open the folder C:/flexfm, witch does not exist on my system.The process looks at license.dat, This file does not exist also.I found one registry entry who points to this folder.How can I fix this, it seems to slow down my machine 'couse it permanently tries to open this folder.I read, that Acrobat reader 8 needs FNPLicensingService too, but I upgraded to Acrobatreader X for some time ago. so maybe this is a undeleted rest of uninstalling AR 8? OS is WindowsXP 32bit , FSX SP2 on separated Drive. Thx for any hint or help Roland

Hello,it was often impossible to me to make a complete flight wihout unexpected return on the office Windows. I decided to make a cleaning in my applications H.P. and since I notice no more crash FSX. I uninstalled: HP ADVISOR, HP UPDATE etc... and since I made 5 flights (under IVAO) without any problem (the same who raised me problem previously). Maybe to meditate? My configuration:CPU Intel 2 Quad Q9400 / 2.66 GHz, RAM 8192 Mo, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Windows 7 / 64bits + MCP VRinsight + Joystick Thrustmaster T.1600M + Active Sky Evolution + EZdok Caméra + IVAP (IVAO).

I cannot seem to get the wind or direction to indicate in cockpit (737NGX) until reaching 5000-10000ft. The weather seems to be working fine, it just will not show up. Also, it drops off on decent when going below 10000ft? Works fine in default 737. Using REX Evolution and ASE SP3. Any suggestions?

I was just wondering if anybody else was having the same problem as me with the characters of the HUGS display disappearing behind the glareshield? Very odd - Made a flight this morning no problems. Tried turning the flight around and making another - had numerous problems on the 4 takeoff attempts. So I completely restarted my computer and shut everything down but FSX. Starting at gate, wait until aircraft intializes. Then load everything into the CDU/FMC, pushback, taxi. While taxiing I noticed I can't steer any more with pedals. Look at flight controls nothing happening. Brakes still work. Go into the flight control config and see that FSX sees my controls moving. I recalibrate anyways and still nothing. Noticed MCP options not working also. Assuming this is a freeze, or a partial freeze. Anyone experi…

Since I mostly fly with the 2d panel I god rid of the HUGS as equipment and noticed slightly better FPS on the ground? Also for any of you flying 2d-Panel and Activesky. Xgauge makes the perfect weather Radar for the NGX. Check the Picture below. I was wondering if the BBJ C variant would be considered to release with one of the future expansion packages. The BBJ C is a 'BBJ'ized version of the 737-700C Combi. To me this seems like the ultimate variant of the 737 series...BBJ range with Combi load capabilities...like a giant PC-12 lol CheersTJ
