I get a CTD that I see is common with the NGX every time I try to change aircraft, exit flight, or ctrl-break FSX after a successful flight. People are tracking them down to PMDG_737NGX_3.DLL modules or hardware yokes.My event viewer shows the faulting module name: MSVCR90.dll, version: 9.0.30729.6161.I know this is part of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86). I would like to uninstall/reinstall the same version. This version was an update to C++ 2008 that I assume I got from windows update. Is it compatible with the NGX? What version does the NGX install? I have not submitted a ticket since the CTDs are common and Vin says they are working on it. So I…

Is there any way to keep the 2D panels in a particular view when you cycle out and back again? I am finding it a bit tricky, say on final, when there are a couple of key 2D panels open, when I need to toggle to FO side, e.g. to set CMD B ... then back to Capt side, the 2D panels have disappeared and I have to zoom out to find them again and click them on. If it doesn't already exist, would be good if "Views" could have optional "2D panel memories"? Advance apologies if I've missed something in my reading of the manuals! Thanks. Best wishes, David

I'm currently cruising on my way.. sitting at FL390... I am noticing an incessant frequent beeping from what appears to be the nav radios as if they were on a localizer... while cruising.. Anyone know what this is and how to make it stop? I have nothing selected on the efis panel, nor do i have any of the nav radios active on the center console

Well then chaps ive got it working again after nearly two weeks of not being able to use this plane it would not initialize when choosen in fsx it would install alright and activate alright though i dont know if this sorted it out and dont understand why if it did but the only change i did was to update my Realteck sound driver and hey presto i thought i would try again and install the plane and off it went no problem im really happy now that it did.cheersIain

Hi All, so I just completed my 1st tutorial and it went pretty smooth. However, I have some questions and hope to get some help.1. Just before reachting the T/D point I saved the flight. When I load the flight later on VNAV is always disangaged alhough I had it engaged when saving. Any ideas why?2. When I arm APP, I only see "single CH" in the PFD. Why? I have angaged CMD A and B3. Upon reaching 1500 ft the PFD does not show "LAND 3" but just CMD. Why? Many thanks for your thoughts.Nic

Hi, I just buy 737NGX, i install it and use it : all work, all initialized : no problem. I set runway in use, choose 5°flaps, full power, i set 250knt on ap, take off, try to connect ap : no way. If i push on hdg and vertical speed, appear in green in pfd but no way, impossible to connect this ap !!! Is that a bug ? Thanks for your answer Best R. P.

There seems to be so many theads on the AutoLand. Why are you guys so obsessed with it? I thought the whole purpose of buying a plane as complex as the 737-NGX was to learn to fly like a real world pilot? In the real world the majority of the time planes are landed manually by the pilots and most pilots do not even like using the autoland. If you can't land a 737-800 manually you can forget about flying the Heavies. (767, 747, MD11).

Ryan or anyone from PMDG. Is it possible to advise how to change the attitude from approach all the way down to landing by 2 degrees for all flaps setting from the default one you guys have programmed into the 737NGX. That way some of us real world pilots can use the attitude we feel is right and replicates what we see in the real aircraft while others can continue with the default one without any issues. Brought this up because just had a proper go with the NGX and everything works perfectly except the attitudes on finals are 2 degrees off. On the last couple of flights I have been trying airports that do not have SIDS/STARS, so rather than taking off with LNAV armed I am using Heading Select instead. If I arm Heading Select and VNAV then, as I hit TO/GA both modes clear off the MCP and then can't be re-engaged until I am up in the air. Is that correct behaviour, or am I doing something that I shouldn't ?? G

This plane has been perfect up until now, for some reason on 2 attempts flying lax-ewr I have gotten a panel freeze.This happened both times during a step climb in different areas. Thats what I get for trying to conserve fuel. Also no control input what so ever. it's on the avsim main page for new files! It looks great, I tried it... thanks for that great beauty.. whomever did it! Now, I can accurately fly my private, brand new BBJ3 wherever I want, short legs included. If anyone things BBJs are rare, think again, I see them everywhere almost in real life ... HPN, ACK, EWR, BOS, and many, many other places! They are always shiny and polished, with wheels often "tire shined" ... so never will you see a dirty BBJ repaint I hope!

Hi, I use Logitech G940 for my flying and FS Force 2 for adjusting the forces. This little program allows me to set different forces depending on the type of airplane and on the speed. The higher the speed the more resistance I will feel when moving the joystick. Now I was just wondering how it actually feels in the real 737. Do you feel these forces on the yoke of the real plane or are they more or less constant? Thanks in advance!

Got a Question to you Experts.I see in many Videos of "Just Planes" of the 737NG on each and every landing I see that as soon as the Plane touches down(rear wheels) I hear the Auto Spoiler is deployed, once the front wheels are lay on the tarmac the pilot engages the Reverse Thrusts.My question is , how do you instruct the NGX that as soon as it touches down , the Spoilers (auto Spoilers) would be deployed?

I searched within the manuals but I can't find a way to hear the morse when the ILS is catch. I tried turning on the speaker and VHF...no way. Could you please tell me how to do that ? I use it to know when the ILS is catch while I am performing other tasks. Thx
