Hello, First post. 2 weeks ago I purchased the NGX, At first I installed it and the first flight resulted in a CTD.But, in the last 2 years I added a whole lot of add-ons, tweaked FSX by replacing the uiautomationcore, replaced "lost files", FSX.CFG etc etc. So I uninstalled FSX (which did no worked out fine.)Did a fresh windows 7 64 bits install. Installed FS and both servicepacks, 2 sceneries, REX 2.0 and the PMDG 737 NGX.Worked like a charme until now. I was practicing circuits at EHGG and suddenly a CTD. I restarted FSX, loaded the 737, then a problem. No initialisation of the NGX. Waited 1 minute, rebooted, did a restore, Nothing helps. I replaced the original ba…

Hi Everyone,To start off my first post here, I have to say I just LOVE the NGX!When I started flightsimming, I flew the 737 nearly 9/10 flights. Then, I wanted to fly something else, just for a change.Now I've 'rediscovered' the 737 and boy do I like it. Anyways, I'd like to start using the company route feature of the FMC, rather then manually typing the sometimes lenghty routes.This is what I do, step by step, I hope it might just help. 1. Hi Guys. I am descending at a speed of 267kt (VNAV descent speed) in VNAV to a waypoint that has a height restriction of 4000ft, I am then asked by ATC to level off at say 8000ft,my speed starts to decrease to minium clean speed approx 200kts. When I am able to continue the descent, the speed then increases back to the FMC descent speed of 267kts. If you are stepped down to different levels by ATC is this the correct behaviour of the aircraft to keep slowing down then speeding up? I have looked in the manuals cant seem to see anything about it. Thanks.Tony

Is this this something the real plane does? I have noticed over long distances between way points the plane will slowly flyaway from the magenta line. I am about to try to do zero wind and resetting the plane on path and I will update if it happens again. P.S This picture is using default fsx fair weather.

hi all, I'm pretty new around here and I'm sorry if this already emerged before (though I briefly searched the forum and haven't found anything). is anybody else experiencing bearing differences between wind indications displayed on the ND and the FMS progress page? it looks to me this could be related to the magnetic deviation as it varies with the plane position: once I had about 10°/15° whileen route from FACT to FAEL and another time I had only 1°/2° cruising between MPTO and SKBO (or was it EDDM to LEPA? Idon't remember exactly). I should add that I updated my AIRAC to the latest cycle so it's not PMDG's native and that before doing so I don't recall havingever notic…

A year or so ago I read an article about Boeings plans to offer a more streamlined beacon casing for the NG. I read the article a long time ago and for the life of me I cannot seem to be able to find it again. I have searched multiple times and I cannot come up with the article so the details are foggy and I may be wrong. I did notice that on the video the new 737 MAX that they have implemented this into the design. I do however believe that I read that customers could choose this option for the current NG. I was wondering why does the 737NGX have that annoying trim wheel spinning around? The 747, 757, 767, 77, 787? doesn't. What is the purpose of the wheel (back up I guess if the swithch on the yoke is broken?) But why only on the 737's and old 707's. Isn't this wheel spinning around annoying to the pilots? Do their ties ever get caught on it? They may seem like dopey questions, but these are the things that keep me up at nights.

Hello there! I'm having trouble trying to install some of the liveries downloaded from PMDG website using the Livery Manager.I downloaded the latest livery files today as well as the most recent Livery Manager. Still the problem persists that I can't install some of the downloaded liveries and I'm getting an error "Variant not installed" instead (see attached screenshot). Other liveries worked flawlessly, but some don't (I also tried running Livery Manager with admin rights as suggested in the FAQs on PMDGs webpage).3 of the liveries I identified as not-working are:Austrian AirlinesAustrian Airlines (Star Alliance)Lauda Air Any ideas what would cause this. I have some problems wih the prakes. When I load up the 737 the brake temperature at about 7. to 10. without doing anything. So, with this temperature the brakes doesn't works. Any ideas? Thanks for help.

For those of you who, like my, mainly fly the 737NGX using the information from the tutorial #1 as some sort of checklist for other flights, I have a little tip regarding when to enable Cmd B for an autoland. After completing the tutorial a few times, I 'translated' it to some sort of checklist (see http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__2058394 or http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__2060376 for an updated version) to use on flights from and to other airports. Everything worked fine apart from the autoland. Well, to be more precise: apart from turning on Cmd B in order to autoland. After having CTDs and big freezes on my first few NGX flights, including on final into LGA, I thought I would apply some fixes and see how things went. Here is what I did... 1. Applied the hotfix2. Deleted ENB series3. Verified I had the latest UIAutomation file in FSX Main4. Downloaded and used game booster III5. Lowered cloud draw distance from 100-706. Lowered autogen from extremely dense to very dense I started out at FSDT's DFW with 12-13 FPS on the ground with Ultimate Traffic II running at 75%. Prior to departure from DFW, I turned off all traffic to ensure it wasn't eating my system on departure. The traffic looks good around the gates, but I really don't…

Hi all. This post is a request / search for someone in the repaint business to do a Virtual Airline texture for the 737-800WL. Hello every body, I hope all is ok with you, I had encountered a little audio problem and didn’t know if I should submit a ticket for or not, Ok since I started flying the incredible NGX and as you must be aware of; sounds were just amazing, every click of a button and every angle gives you different feeling, however, I bought few days back a more advanced headset which is Logitech Clearchat series – USB - to improve the audio quality for my on line flights, the problem is since installing it (plug & play) I lost about 80% of sounds of NGX, I only hear the engine roaring and other aircrafts around but no clicks or trim wheel sounds or warning sounds etc. So is …

Sorry i just had to share this discovery! If you equip your 73 with the HUD you can actually see it from spot views etc. In addition when you extend the HUD for landing it actually extends in the external views also! I know it's not some awesome animation that changes the aerodynamics or something, but that's pretty frickin' awesome! Mitch Bowman

I have been using this one from fuel.aerotexas but it seems to aim way to high. Giving me about 15.0 reserves and it doesnt seem to be the best option because you cant adjust the payload. I'd rather not have to pay for a fuel planner either. Does anyone have a better alternative than just guessing or using the one from aerotexas?

Hi. Right after takeoff (ENGM) i get a strange panel and aircraft freeze. I cant push any buttons or control the aircraft with my yoke. It just freezes the control inputs and panel - and continues fly.Whats strange is that all other thing works.. (change the view, etc) This has happened a couple of times now.
