Hello recent "owner " of this beautiful baby i've got a problem to save my flightplans after having built them in the FMC. I click "save" then we have "confirm" highlighted and when I click on "exec" nothing happens ... and no FP recorded. I used to do that very easily on fs9 version.I'm sure I'm goofing somewhere ... but where ?? I tried different versions of the AC, tried in 2d & VC ... and nothing works thanks for your help Jm alias ksimodo

Was looking at the Anchorage X screenshots from Aerosoft today when I noticed that the NGX is featured in a few of the shots. Just found this pretty neat. Thought I'd share.http://www.aerosoft....i?showd,,D12064 EDIT- Just realized that Aerosoft and PMDG have a sort of partnership where Aerosoft sells PMDG products in their online store. So maybe this wasn't as neat as I thought.

Hello agin Gents/Ladies ;) 1. At cold&dark and when i come to enable VNAV/LNAV it would not activate, I look at FMC se that LEGS is not speed set, intil suddenly it comes alive also my HUD is this the IRS that is aligned? 2. A stupid qustion again, were is the windows washer? 3. Whats the max wind for landing for the 737? 4. Were do you see how cold/Celsius its out there in wich HUD or display? 5. when i plan an approach, i often have the FMC message : "NO DES PATH AFTER XXXX" ithen i check all the points on the LEGS page to have a coherent altitude but whatever i change the message still.How to proceed with this message?thanks,Bernard

I was approaching an airport (RPVP) that does not have an ILS. I selected the runway in the fmc, but not more than that. I do not know why I did it, but I entered the VOR freq from the airport into the nav1 radio. Then, to my surprise, after that there was that magneta dot for both the ILS and Localizer. The plane followed the ILS path down, like there was one. Not what I expected. An autoland was not possible. I guess this is normal for some reason. But, what reason?

Hi there guys, I was wondering if somebody knows a place where to get accurate wind aloft data to enter in to the FMC.I did search many forums and I did get many wind aloft charts but its hard to tell a precise wind direction from these.Real life pilots do have these data available to them but can we get these to?Sort like a METAR report but then for wind aloft data.

I just attempted a cold Dark night startup. I was reminded of the guy who couldn't find his own butt in the darkwith a flashlight. That's it!! A Flashlight. Is it possible to create a flashlight that is mouse movement operated, to illuminate either the flight-deck, or outside doing a preflight walk aroundbefore startup? After I pick up the LOC. and turn toward it I set the APP button but I am having trouble picking up the GS I have the FREQ set and course set but it will not take me down? KBDL runway 6 picks up LOC @3,000 the GS is shown @ 1800 .Should I try going down on my own at LOC capture Maby I am a bit to high?

yesterday I replaced my samsung monitor by Asus 3D Monitor (Nvidia 3D Vision Included) and after a couple of minutes configuration, everything get ready to start the FSX. My default flight is Cessna 172 @ EHAM. the first 3D experince was owesome but as soon as I changed the aircraft to 737 NGX, I really impressed. its impossible to compare NGX with other add ons! anyway I start the engines and taxing to the active runway and ... when I turn to final, I saw something wrong, the runway lights!!! it seems the ground lighting in FSX is not designed for 3D. I google it and find "effects are not working in 3D", is it true? is there any fix for it? Teefan Anderson

I just got a new "super" machine with a i7 960 and nvidia 570 2.5 gb mem. Here's the problem. It seems that I lose certain thing like the menu bar and sometimes the screen just goes black even though the plane is still flying. Is there a fix or strategy for dealing with this bug? Is this a bios issue or fsx/wondows 7 issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Just curious to see what the results are to this poll. I did notice a lot of people who were complaining about issues with the NGX were talking about alt-tab out to windows. I have never found Full Screen to be very stable especially when you are multi-tasking heavily like me during a flight. (Vatspy - FS Commander - Charts - Web Broswer etc). Yes I know your FPS will be slightly better in Fullscreen Mode. But after so many alt-tabs back to desktop if FSX starts being finicky sometimes it won't even go back after awhile or you can't get back into FSX. In addition to that everytime I have FSINN interface loaded for VATSIM it kills the Anti-aliasing. The only way I know aro…

Hi, I did set service failure ON since my first flight, but did not meet any yet in more than a dozen flights. Is this random ? How does this work actually ? I did not find any explanation or maybe I missed the documentation page that deals with it. Cheers

Hello, now I "fly" the PMDG 737 - 800 NGX since 3 weeks... I enyoy the aircraft but I miss the "Tires squeal" at touch down... on my first flight - without using the fmc - I have heard it, but now - with using the fmc, but flying without the ap after passing the decison hight - I don´t hear the "Tires squeal"; do I land to smooth??? :-)I have tried a few different vs-rates / touchdown speed / wight and so on, but I didn´t hear the "Tires squeal" again! I think some people might find this informative, it confuses me but makes me want the AOA Training ASAP! These are not my videos he goes by the username "skysurfer007" on YouTube. I'm sure he's on these forums as well. Also he's a RL -800 pilot. Hi Captains. I have a little problem regarding FPS with the PMDG 737NGX RTM version. when selecting the VC the FPS drops down suddendly. In outside view and wings views my FPS are around 17 - 27 FPS. When a change it to VC 8 or 10 FPS. My spec and settings. Very high detail, Fps set to 30. high res cockpit, midium hight scenery no traffic.System intel pentiun dual core E5500 2.8ghz, 4gb ram, Nvidia Geforce 9400gt 1gb, windows 7 64 bit. Hi all, Technical question. Last night, I was cruising in the NGX, but due to a wrong movement, the electrical switches turned off. I immediatly turned them back to on. One of the consequences is that the IRS looked inactive, no more heading and IRS alert lit. I turned the IRS switches to OFF then back to NAV: in due time, the heading was back to normal, BUT, no more route displayed (VNAV and LNAV not available as consequence).Tried on the align mode, no more effect. I've looked for a solution, but did not find any. So, what would have been the process ? Suggestions are welcome.

Ok this is getting old. Spent all this money on a new machine and halfway into an hour and a half long flight, FSX shuts down. Microsoft .NET FrameworkUnhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.Exception From HRESULT: 0xC000020D. Do you need the details of the error? I can copy/paste them. This is just getting really old. I guess it can be user error as well but hopefully someone will help or it will be time to support another ticket.

LBS of thrust always confuses me, I haven't really got it down. Okay so lets take the 737-800 for example, each engine generates 26K of thrust or 26,000LBS. Multiply that by 2 because there is two engines so we are looking at 52,000LBS of thrust on a 737-800. I don't really understand how this is measured but it sounds like for 1 pound of thrust can continuously move 1 pound of weight. However, a 737-800 is usually 140,000 pounds or so on takeoff. I guess it doesn't make since to me that 52,000 pounds of thrust can push a 140,000 pound airplane into the sky. Can someone enlighten me on this. I just read the update PMDG posted and it sounds like a lot of people are reporting their freezes to PMDG via support tickets. I just had a freeze,should i report it or just reboot FSX and keep flying? Basicly I'm asking if PMDG is trying to gather data (via people reporting freezes) for the service pack or are they trying to resolve case by case issues for individuals? I haven't reported any past freezes... Mitch Bowman
