Hi im Emil! I have a problem, EVERY time i fly the NGX the climb proseedure is never normal.. I press the VNAV and it starts climbing normal until FL110 and higher. The plane starts to cruise on the FL and Increeses speed. then it climbs like 500 ft/m up to the crz. I have checked the FMC and every altitude sttings are normal. And mu costindex is 80 all the time.. If you have the same problem or know how to fix it, please help meeee!/Emil Nilsson

For those into EXPERIMENATION :_ Anyone tried to load a saved Panel configuration when in Flight -- say at FL310 ?? Interesting effect -- Not quite a blackout -- more a RED OUT !!! I was surprised it allowed me to be so stupid as to attempt that !!

I re-installed the PMDG 737NGX, without the hotfix and somehow it seemed to work with no CTD'S. However, No GPWS callouts on Landing or Caution Warnings eitherway. Also, no sound of the stabilizer trim when trimming. Have all my options to yes in the Sound settings, still nothing. Anyone also getting a massive drop in FPS playing online ? IVAO ? I know about the crashes otherwise, but any Help ?

Well the long wait is over and we are now experiencing our long awaited 737ngx, given the complexity I am surprised how little problems we have really experienced, I know there are a few out there that may not agree with me, and hopefully by the time the next sim release comes around they will have a more varied selection of beta testers, because the ctd/fatal error should have been picked up by them, but having said that the last update fix did it for me. I can now fly in europe with REX, fs traffic, and many high density airfields with impunity and carry out diversions and overshoots. I dare say there are one or two bugs here and there that will be fixed in time but I h…

I have been trying to use the cold and dark panel to set up the NGX sample flight from EGKK to EHAM. When i type the departure airport, EGKK, on the scratch pad and then line select it in, and then select IRS align. The co-ordinates show up and i place them in the squares that appear. I always get the message in the scratch pad saying that the IRS does not agree with my location. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I have tried other airports , but the result is always the same I have downloaded the latest NavData from Navigraph, so i know the airports i am choosing are in the NGX Nav Data files. EGKK is in the data file, I know this because i can fly the plane using …

I remember in the manuals for one of my FS9 PMDG planes there was a maximum recommended simulation rate (possibly 8x, might even have been 4x). Is there a similar recommended limit for the NGX ? I fly in real time but have been doing some tests where I've wanted to speed things up until I got to the bit of the flight where I was expecting trouble. I've searched here and in the manuals but they're common words and it didn't turn up anything useful. ThanksGary

Anyone know which sound file is responsible for the Seat Belt Chime sound? I've looked through the folder within NGX but can't determine which one it is as I want to engineer it with a louder volume. PS: Had to engineer the Wind sound files previously as I thought they were too dominating when flying at cruise...now happy with the result. Rgds, XCL

Posting this has become somewhat of a ritual for me. But so has the Reno Air races. Sorry for the redundancy, but its one for the PMDG team actually. Not only is this a chance to personally thank RSR for the planes( last year J41, Year before MD11 etc), but this place is pretty cool. military shows, like the f-22, F18 C130, you name it. Its pretty wild watching the WW2 era planes flying around plyons at 500 feet AGL and 500 KTS. And the noise... RSR owns a T-6 texan and you can always find him in the pits with a close eye on Gracie 8 , the team, and of course his family. Sometimes you can spot Ryan and his Dad. Hi there again, I was wondering if there are people flying the NGX using the CH throttle quadrant?If so, are you able to use the reverser part of the axis.I tried many things with FSUIPC and the closest I come is when I deploy the reverser's on landing they only deploy a few % N1.The curious thing is that when I put the throttles back to Idle and back to reverse they do deploy correctly, but thats giving my a few 100ft of ground roll extra.Are there NGX pilots out there with normal working reverser's on first deployment with the CH qd ?

Hi all, since joining on the NGX train (ooops...I mean Plane) just over a week ago I noticed that nobody had discussed the NGX in terms of 3D. I'd like to report that the NGX in 3D is completely and utterly immersive. Coupled with EZCA and it kills. I've been simming since 1990, and it would not be inaccurate to say I've been waiting for this immersive Flight Sim (desktop) experience since then. Finally, it has been delivered with this product. I'm a bit confused here, as my understanding is flying a precision approach (ILS) will arm the LOC and GS after selecting Approach on the MCP. So why do I sometimes get the GP armed instead of GS on an ILS approach? I also understood that the armed modes of FAC and GP were for non-precision approaches, such as Back-Course or RNAV. Am I right, wrong, or is there a possible bug here?

I have a problem: Since some time now I'm flying with the service based failures on and today I've got my first failure. I wanted to turn on the APU and it failed during the startup process. For this flight I've used the ground start unit. After the next landing I repaired the APU and have done a service inspection straight after the repair. But when trying to start the APU for the next engine startup it failed again. I spent today confirming this - but every time I fly KSFO to KSEA, between BTG and the Olympia VOR in the NGX, the sim freezes just before the Olympia. I also set up a quick flight from KEUG to KSEA manually and it happened again - this time using the heading tool to get me to BTG then to the Olympia VOR. I flew from Vancouver to KSEA - no probs. I've been flying CYYZ to CYXU with default scenery for training - no probs. Thoughts? If I have time this weekend I'll turn off the ORBX and see how it works. Does anyone know how to uninstall completely the ORBX stuff then reinstall? There is no uninstaller as far as I can tell. Thanks! Colin Ware
