PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello, Well i have experienced my first issue with the 737...more accurately i think that it is the 737. While i was flying over Scotland (rough day to fly today btw), FSX stopped for a while, the WIndows 7 blue wait circle appeared. Perhaps 30 seconds later things sprung back into life but performance was down, the cursor also kept changing between the normal Windows 7 arrow type, and the 'wait' circle, alternating perhaps once every half second. This continued for about 2 hours, again seemed to have an effect on performance. The only thing logged in Event viewer was a message regarding the Software protection service starting and stopping. Any ideas? Thanks

1. What is the max comfort turn you should take 15/20 degree regarding the passangers ? 2. When you taking off, whats the speed before you should deside to abort, and what is it call (you have V1, VR) ? 3. You get clearance to taxi to 19R and roll to 19R holding short, if not got aproval for clearance while taxi to 19R, do you request clearance for lineup/takeoff at holding short 19R to the ATC, or wil the ATC give it so you just wait for the clearance?

Hi PMDG Hope you can help me out, just bought the NGX this evening in UK. Tried activation code and it said activation successful but then immediately a microsoft warning came up - do you trust this software? and before i could click 'yes' FSX crashed and the activation box came up again. Didn't know if this was the server issue people reported earlier or not, so put code in again, and after doing it a few times got a message 'activations exceeded'. This is the first time I have downloaded a product from PMDG as previously bought the DVDs. Tried to submit ticket but it doesn't seem to be workingCheersSteve Cummings

Dear folks at PMDG, fellow Captains! I'd like to report the following: approaching Paris Orly in a descent under IVAO ATC Paris center, entering the airspace of approach control, handoff to freq. 123,875. Tuning in this frequency via the Saitek radio panel, both IVAP and the NGX show a freq. of 123,88!!! A second later, IVAP crashed (running externally). Several attempts in tuning the correct frequency were not successful. Always 123,88!!! I restarted IVAP, got reconnected - same again. I was able to finish the flight by using another frequency (thanks ATC staff in Paris!). Later, I could reproduce this behaviour in different conditions, but always with frequencies ending…

When pushing back the 737NGX I'm mostly in trouble to turn into a taxiway behind the plane even if I set the first initial path to Zero and there should be theoretically sufficient space. I'm quite often at airports and my observation is that those tugs are able to turn the birds even by following really narrow curves. Of course this might be a limitation caused by Microsoft's FSX as PMDG seems to use some of their functions. However, if there is a chance to reduce the turning radius I would appreciate this very much. Dear all I was am trying to configure reverse and map a few non FSX keys such as my SB4 mic key to my yoke. The saitek SST is driving me nuts ... I can't get to the saitek profiler to recognize my controllers without unplugging / replugging my controls after each start of windows! Not mentioning the Saitek support that needs 1 week to respond with a generic reinstall your driver mail !So I am thinking of using FSUIPC. So two questions to the commumity: (1) Can I map FSX (such as reverse on my axis) and non FSX keys (such as the squawkbox mic key) to my yoke + throttle via FSUIPC.(2) PMDG warns of using FSUIPC with the NGX. Hi I've got a high end system, a triple head to go, and I am used to fly in a 2D cockpit setup. I use several 4:3 displays to show the panels. I read already that there is no 2d Throttle panel. That is a bummer... How about the main panel? Is it only suitable for widescreens? Wessel

Has anyone run into the issue when the FSX ATC window stops opening with the "`" command? Usually it starts of working just fine, and somewhere through my pre-flight preparations, it stops working. I experience this with NGX sometimes and haven't been able to confirm what causes this. Note, I can get to the window by going to the menu bar, but I simply can't toggle it on or off with the "`" key -- this pretty much makes it unusable. Im a newbie to PMDG and I guess I have been spoiled with my CoolSky MD-80 interactive training. Even the Level D 767 explains start up from a cold cockpit but the manuals seem a bit info overload for me at least. Can you point me to some kind of tutorial to start from cold and dark?

Downloaded Ioan Blidariu's loverly Navy S-8 reapint from Avsim, but after installing, it does not appear in the FSX Aircraft menu. Checked all files and thumbnail - looks complete and intact. Anyone else got this, or know the answer? Thanks

Hi all, just trying to figure out where I can disable the key commands for the Throttle Quadrant. Currently, it seems that Page Up is controlling Thrust Forward and Page Down is controlling Thrust Reverse. I've checked the controls within FSX and Page Up and Page Down are not listed anywhere? (Yes, I've gone through it thoroughly!) I also took the liberty to go through the menu on the CDU within NGX and there are no assignments for Page Up or Page Down in that either? What the hell is going on? I'm currently using EZDOK 1.17 and the Page Up and Page Down buttons are assigned to up and down movements within that. The issue I have is that I have good fps in the VC cockpit, with scenerys I have around 22-25 but when I like open Firefox or any other program the frames drops down to 10-14. I open up the display settings, change like Global max texture (Name?) down one step, press ok then I have the good frames again. BUT, after opening any other program or letting it run for a while, it happens again. Hi Pilots, I wonder if this is a bug or is supposed to be anyway, when you're in fsx, and turns on the "DOMELIGHTS" inside the cockpit lights almost everything, but the sight of the light outside the cockpit everything seems to be dark, see the pictures ... so help me or do the PMDG fix it in the next update ... haha thanks!

I was setting up a flight last night from Cairns to Melbourne in the Qantas (old livery) 737-800WL, and ran into a problem when I disconnected ground power. Perhaps to start at the beginning, I'd flown the tutorial flight with no problems a few times over the past few days, and so felt confident enough to venture out in the world all alone - it has to be said that I am fairly new to FMC's etc as I usually fly GA. Hello, I love PMDG 737 NGX, but I have one problem with it.Around every 30/45 sec. fps are dropping for next 3 sec to +/- 10fps - then coming back to normal ( 30-40fps ). Hi Ryan,I have a pb with my NGX. When the product first came out, i've had the freeze pb on my very first flight. So i did a couple of things to see if it helped: 1- I reinstalled fsuipc 2- switched back to Airac 1105 3- stopped undocking fmc and only use the captain cdu 4- Stopped using EFB aivlasoft running in background 5- Stopped using FSBuild, and the Eye Ivao in background Conclusion: No more freezes and maybe 2or3 CTD in 20 flights(Actually i realised that fsx was not in admin mode after a windows update). Seemed to be very very stable even with hotfix1 and 2 applied.The day following the release of airac 1109 i downloaded it for all my addons …

Greetings All,I've searched and not found a similar issue, if it has been brought up before - I apologize. I am attempting to fly the 737NGX via the VC through eyefinity with 3 monitors. FSX is configured with the proper resolution and the config file has the wideview set to TRUE. The problem is that it places me WAYYYY too close to the windscreen. Even if I zoom all the way out to .3, I still can't see anything inside except the glareshield. Then, as I move my point of view back, the seat gets in the way (and then the bulkhead). Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Anyone running eyefinity that can share their setup that i can emulate? The view is fine when run…

Hey all, Just installed Track IR yesterday and am loving it paired with the NGX! Really helps when you're trying to align your head with the HGS on approach. Anyways, thought I'd share a few shots with you after I did some circuits around KLAS. All was fairly well until just before touchdown when I flared too early, floated, and bounced off the runway - OOPS! Still getting used to the Track IR sensitivity... Anyways, I'm having so much fun with NGX, it's truly a joy to learn how to fly and appreciate all the hard work that went into this. Thank you PMDG Enjoy!

I'll give you my set up for those who want to try to reproduce this: On the ground at DCA. Setting up for Rwy 1 NATNL1 departure. My performance was pretty good considering the surrounding scenery, but as soon as I tune DCA on both radios and set up my course, I get a significant decrease in performance. When I switch the radios to an inactive frequency, the performance returns to it's previous level.

I get around 25 FPS on startup until around a minute later when it drops to about 12 FPS. Any ideas why? I'm running REX 2.0 but have the same problem even when turned off and have it on clear skies. Windows 7 (32-bit)Intel i5-2540m @ 2.60GHz4GB DDR3

Ok, so when I start my FSX up, my camera is locked at my radio coms panel and I cannot seem to look up at the overhead panel, I only get level to the MCP panel. Please will someone help!

For anyone using lower end systems like me Windows XP 3.0 G Quad Core 4GB Ram 1GB graphics card Moderate graphics settings/no Ai traffic/No water I have found that by not opening any 2D panels during flight, especially the FMC I have had no problems. I have completed a few of the tutorial flights EGKK-EHAM with no problem ( landed using HUD). I currently have no addons at all installed except the NGX. I am using the NGX in VC mode only. Hope this helps some of you. Got to say …….What a great job PMDG have done here, it is truly amazing. I am sure given time these issues will be sorted, Cant wait to get home tonight and go again.
