...on my first "real" online flight with the NGX flying from KBFI-KSFO after before this flight only have done some very short test flights. After reading about all panel freezes problems etc the last couple of weeks I'm a little bit nervous how this will go but so far all is fine and even IvAp seems to work fine with no crashes so far. What a nice feeling it is to finally be in the NGX after weeks of just learning and planning for this. My intention is to keep it as real as I can in the way that I will not "jump" to the airports I look forward to flying from and into but rather start from KBFI and then make my way step by step until I reach my home airport ESSA in 'Freja…

A feature in the FMC in the 757 I fly is called RTE COPY and RTE 2. The way I have used it is to enter a primary flight plan (RTE 1) with the SID, enroute portion to the first waypoint of the STAR and destination airport. On the ACT RTE 1 route page I line select COPY RTE. This creates two routes which are the same. I then complete RTE 1 entering the approach and transition point, and STAR. This remains the active route. On the ACT RTE 1 LEGS I line select RTE 2 LEGS. Route 2 comes up with the exception of the approach, transition, and STAR from RTE 1. Did the download purchase and I think it installed. Why don't I know for sure? it is because the dialog windows seemed to close after I had to install something called the Bing Bar. I never got a window at the end of the process saying install complete, a readme or anything. I have not started FSX only because I think I have read something about how you should set up your system or FSX to actually either run this or run it well. Ok this happened last night and right now, im in the cruise locked solid at 30 frames and i prees my key to look at the overhead (EZDOK) and then press my key to come back to PIC seat and then my frames drop to 1FPS, this remains like this until i go into options and change any setting in the display settings, then my frames go back to locked at 30FPS. Hi guys, from the image you can see I an getting a buffet alert for obvious reasons. The problem is I just can't work out why i'm flying so slow at the minute! My gross weight is currently 65 tonnes and I've a fair bit of fuel onboard because its a 2400nm flight. Any suggestions?

Hi: I really like landing in the 2D cockpit, but I can't seem to see the runway over the glaresheild when landing unless if I switch to the virtal 3d cockpit. It feels as if I am not virtually "tall enough" to see over the instrument panel in 2D. Is this supposed to be this way? Is this the way it really is? Am I doing something wrong? I just can't see the runway when landing in the 2D cockpit... Thanks, Chris Catalano

Hello, Just noticed today, when I move throttle to idle in approach mode the N1 indicator quickly point to around 25%(which is ground idle) then back to around 38% (which is correct). So the throttle isn't really in the idle position. Is this correct as in the real life? or is a FSX limitation? What I mean is when flaring we can't really be in IDLE position, instead there is a little space in between. Regards,Frank

After takeoff and retraction of the gear I moved the gear position to "off". As soon as I moved to off I went to an external view and the gear was coming down. Tried it several times and it continued to happen. Not sure the cause. I do have a PFC console with a gear lever but it will not operate the gear. Just wondering in the interest of reality; is it possible to remove the "chime" plackard that's placed over the No Smoking text on the overhead panel?I'm sure some airlines have this, but the airline that I work for, just has the No Smoking text above the switch (eventhough it's always on, since smoking is not allowed).Maybe I overlooked, but I couldn't find it in the settings in the CDU.

1. I get a lot of 'beeps' when using the NGX. I admit, I don't know what I'm doing half the time, but is there anyway I can find out what the beeps are about? For example, the 747 tells you what's wrong on the EICAS, but I don't see anything like that on the 737. 2. Why is it that the WestJet paint on the PMDG website not have the HUD on the VC? 3. For some reason, on the top of the fuselage close to the cockpit, there's a giant cylinder shape object that protrudes upwards, has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance for your help.

hey guys, i have encourted a small problem, my brakes dont seem to work after landing, i usally set the brakes to 2 on the knob, then i turn it off after landing then after my brakes wont work. i keep clicking the "." on my keyboard but brakes dont work, could somebody help me out on this please thanks.

Hi guys, I have recently downloaded the NGX and have found that a little way into flight the navigation display and th PFD freezes. The aircraft continues in a straight line but the auto pilot cannot be disabled and there are no reponses from any of the controls. I have no other addons just acceleration and the FMC is flying the aircraft Any advice on what to do ? Many thanks

Hi,I just wanted to point out that some of us don't have any of the hotfixes installed as we didn't experience any of the issues reported by other pilots. I, for one, have been quite happy with the release candidate and has been fine on my system. Other than that, top job PMDG. Cheers

Hi guys, Anyone know how I can add waypoints and navaids permanent for the FMC database?Now and then I come over points that are not in the database, that I'd like to use.For instance as I am flying on some older IFR plates where the SID's and STARS for thatairport now have been completely redone, with a lot of new fixes and waypoints. I have given a look into the NAVDATA folder and these files, tried to add RIGA VOR (RIX) inthe wpnavaid file, but without luck. Though perhaps this folder only belongs to the md-11? Anyone can give me a hand here?
