PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi all, testing at night the 737-800 in LGAV by Flytampa in p3d v4 with dynamic lights on I've noticed something wired as if the lights layers was misaligned when using the pedestal panel light (the one that also illuminates the FMC keys.

I re-downloaded the base package today from my previous purchase for FSX . The installer does not show an entry for P3D v4. Is there a free update or must I buy the P3d version? Do I just browse to The V4 folder and install? Sorry to seem a lame brain but I have not seen any announcement from PMDG re. update Thanks Neal H

I just did a fresh install of the latest version of P3D V4 and all is running great. I installed the 737-800 base package and it installs just fine. I made sure simconnect is active and I installed everything as administrator. P3D V4 is running fine and planes are launching just fine. The aircraft preview section shows the PMDG 737 base models are there, but when I select one of them to load, P3D V4 shuts down to the desk top. What's wrong? Can anyone suggest to me a way to repair this? Is there a missing file somewhere? I am totally baffled. I've never encountered this before. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi, I don't know if it is a bug or something I don't understand about the airplane, but I am not able to replicate the intended behavior of the autopilot during take off. SID is setup, I have LNAV selected on the MCP and armed on the FMA, AT is also ARMED on the FMA. So I select 40% N1 with my throttle, then I press the TOGA hotspot below the course select knob. On the FMA I expect to see N1, HDG/SEL and TO/GA but there is only the N1, the roll and pitch mods are empty. See the screen shots below, first one of before I press toga, second one after I press TOGA. N1 on the FMA is now THR HLD as expected but no roll or pitch mode have been activated by the TOGA. Just flew the ILS into 12R at KMSP coming in via the KRUGG IAF. At G/S alive the A/P sent the aircraft into a steep dive in order to capture the G/S and I had to switch it off and fly a missed approach. Now I'm conducting my own NTSB investigation... Between the KRUGG IAF and the FAF are two waypoints, EFEXX and ZESTY. The approach chart shows no altitude for EFEXX but 4000 for ZESTY. The FMC showed 6000A for EFEXX and 4000A for ZESTY, the latter being exactly what the chart said (underlined = do not go below?). I'm thinking I was too high because the aircraft crossed the waypoints "above" instead of exactly at the respective altitude, thus being too high to properly…

Hi, Every time I've gone to fly the NGX in P3D V4 on a chartered flight in the ngx VNAV has failed about an hour into the flight. It also gives me problems on takeoff. Not sure if this has been reported yet. I'm flying with: Pro-ATC X and Active sky. Every autopilot function is disabled in pro-atc x is disabled and it's even happened without the software running. I noticed on the NGX the aft wingtip lights are a light blueish color, but the 737 I flew on today has a yellowish light on the wingtip like the picture. Perhaps I was on an older 737-700 like this?

Hello I am using Hotas Warthog Throttle with B737NGX As the the throttle levers are advanced for take-off then during flight auto throttle is selected the throttle levers in a real aircraft will move in relation the the amount of engine power required but the levers on my Warthog throttle remain stationary and will not be co-rdinated, therefore, if and when return to manual throttle control how can I determine the correct position that the levers on my Wathog should be in to take manual control Is there anyway that the Warthog throttle levers can be programmed to move in relation the the amount of power requested co-ordinated with the thrust levers on the…

Hey all, just a quick query, having done a fair few flights using the 777 both for long haul/short haul, I'm looking at getting used to the 737 for short haul hops, seems a waste using all that fuel in the 777 for the sake of an hour or two. Now having briefly glanced at the first tutorial for the 737 it appears that setting up the 737 is more or less identical to the 777 which makes transitioning easier, however I have noticed that the triple 7 has the ability to load a flight plan directly which I aren't sure if that is the case with 737?. Any other subtle changes or differences I should be aware of? Thanks in advance guys.

Hello all, For some strange reason on 2 repaints for the NGX the registration placard has a black rectangle over the top of it. I know multiple people that have the repaint for themselves and they do not have this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Ben

I have a homecockpit based on Prepar3D v4 and PMDG B737NGX that are working very good. But,there is one thing I haven't fully grasped. I have 3 screens behing my hardware MIP that the PFDs,NDs and Upper EICAS are undocked.to. I have saved a scenario file, after undocking and adjusting all displays to fit nice on the monitors behind the MIP hardware panel, that I load when starting up the sim. This make everything to be set up correctly every time. This works just fine, but there is one disadvantage with this solution. Can anyone direct me to a good United 900WL livery that installs correctly with PMDG Livery Manager ? I can't find one that doesn't install with a corrupted panel ( a problem with my computer due to a bad un-install ).

I did two flights today with the updated version. Prior to the update everything worked fine. Today in the -800 I had a minimums call at 30 feet when my baro was set for 200 minimums. Then in the -700 tonight, landing in PHX on RWY 26, baro set to 251 for ILS, I had no callout and the green indicator for the minimums was nonexistent. I couldn't even dial it in after landing and the altimeter was set correctly. Why am I having problems I never had before with the minimums call and recognition? I kinda think I missed some call outs on final too, which has been an issue in the queen. All other sounds work fine. And this is the only add-on that seems to ha…

I am new to the B737 and am having an issue with the Innsbruck tutorial. When established on the RW26 localiser, with VOR and APP selected I am unable to break off the approach for RW 08. The heading and altitude buttons on the autopilot have no effect, and I can only stop the approach by switching off the autopilot and flying manually. I believe I am following the instructions correctly. When in LNAV VNAV mode in flight I am able to make heading and level changes, but once I have established on the ILS the aircraft autopilot functions seem to be locked. I ahe just reinstalled 737NGX into my new computer, with the installation disk which I purchased on October 25, 2013, I used this succesfully in my old computer, the registration was succesful but now want to install more liveries for which I need the PMDG Operations Center App, this of course is missing in my version of the 737 NGX disk. where and how do I obtain the PMDG Operations Center App or does this mean I have to buy a newer version. I've noticed that I have lost some sounds and the only thing I can think of is that something happened after installing the NGX immersion pack. For example, I have no v speed call outs, no tcas sound, but I get some gpws when doing a test, minimums call, and 50, 40, etc. I checked in the fmc and it would appear as though everything is set up correctly. I have Logitech surround speakers and some sound comes through my dell display. Any idea on what this could be?

Hi, Could anyone give me a step by step of how to assign the baked in VC views to buttons please? I found an old post saying to edit the aircraft.cfg and add "HotKeySelect=" to the CameraDefinition, but I've tried that with both a number and a letter and when I get into the sim (P3d V4) the keys don't do anything. If I can get a key command to work, I can use FSUIPC to assign that to a button or switch, but I can't get the key part to work - I only want the lower overhead and pedestal, plus the standard VC view mapped. Chrono displays are not output from NGX SDK. So cockpit builders have to write external scripts to make their chronos working. I wrote a SIOC script to simulate exactly, what the NGX chronos did. But now with the new NGX version I found a change in the ET behaviour. Before ET started showing minutes and seconds and only after 00:59:59 it changed to display hours and minutes. Now it displays hours and minutes from start. This has two disadvantages: - You can check the correct start of ET only after one minute (I don't have RUN and HLD indicators) - ET cannot be used for measurements in seconds any more Was there a reason to change this function? Hello guys, been flying the NGX a while now and currently in P3D v4. Wanted to ask this q a long time ago but thought, neh, you must be doing something wrong. Today I finaly post my issue: I fly the NGX manualy on TO up to 10.000 and try to land it also manualy. I get near the ARP in VNAV and LNAV, I activate VOR LOC before intercepting the landing heading and finaly after succsesfuly catching the H-beam, I activate the APP mode and wait until the AP starts it's descent on the G/S. After cathing the GS, I deactivate A/T and AP and start flying manualy towards the RWY. My problem: the H-Guidance bar of the FD does not seam to guide me at all. Just today I la…

Hi everyone, I've just installed the latest PMDG 737 NGX update from Op Center. Now, it seems as if I do not anymore have the possibility to "zoom in" into the PFD, namely the shift+8 command does not work (while shift+9, zoom in for ND works perfectly...). I have been trying to update my 737 6700 and 8700 files and keep getting this error. Feature transfer error Feature: FSX Version - Original Microsoft Distribution Component: Ops Center File: <Folder_SIM2>\ Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect This installed perfectly fine quite some time ago but now it will not update. When flying the NGX in P3Dv4, I notice that the vehicle labels for nearby traffic are visible when they go "behind" the VC panel. Is this normal?
