PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Is there a way to program an altitude after which the next leg of the flight plan is flown. Typically on SIDs you will see a starting airport, then an altitude in parentheses, e.g. (1800), followed by the first fix of the SID. Looking for a way to input just the altitude for non-SID departures. Thanks Dale

I have been using 737NGX for a long time. It has been working fine. I put a new video card in my PC yesterday. While flying some of the switches in the VC view were not working all the time. (intermittent) For example the VOR/LOC switch would not work at all. Then when I went to shut down the Engines, #2 fuel shut off lever would not work? Any suggestions Thanks Mike

Hey guys, This is one part of the NGX I can't figure out. When I begin my descend and start slowing down, I don't see any flap settings on the speed indicator on the PFD. During take off, it's all there so I know at what speed to raise the flaps. Is it suppose to be like this or did I miss something? I fly using ATC, so no SID's or STAR's. I doubt that's the reason though because I fly with ATC with the MD-11 and it works fine there. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hello Everyone, I had to re-install the 737ngx 6/7/8/9 prior to which I had a folder in PMDG with a bundle of saved flights which are still in place but when loading the Sim and inserting the departure/arrival airports and clicking the Co-Route box another window opens with Load Co-Route, obviously the route is not there. I would be grateful if someone could give me the procedure to activate the saved flights folder back to the FMC as I don't fancy saving flights again from scratch. Thanks. Richard Welsh.

After purchasing the NGX I have run into an issue which I dont understand. As soon as I set the trim for takeoff the trim wheel takes on a mind of its own and moves until the aircrat is trimmed complely nose down. As soon as I trim it back it does it again. I have deleted all key assignments to trim and exhausted everything. Any ideas anyone? Thanks, Jack

I am having a little trouble with the 737 sound. I have a 34 inch dell display with speakers and Logitech speakers with a subwoofer. Both speakers have sound but it seems like they all play different sounds. For example some wind at altitude comes out of the monitor but the low hum comes out of the speakers. Ideally I'd like everything to come out of the surround speakers. However, when I pick the sound in the fmc to go to one speaker (surround Logitech) I lose the types of sound coming from the dell monitor. Any thoughts? Ideally I'd like all sounds from the 737 to be out of the surround speakers.

After installing the latest ngx update I have been unable to load the ngx. The sim crashes with no error message as soon as the flight starts to load. I can load a default aircraft but as soon as I switch to the ngx the sim will crash. I have tried removing the p3d cfg, dll.xml, exe.xml, and reinstalling the ngx countless times. All the time uninstalling and then manually deleting each folder in every directory. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi, when I turn the "Heading Knob" (HDG not armed on my 2D panel, PMDG 737 NGX, P3D v4) I have a impact of the framerates from more than 50% and extreme stutter!!!! When I finish the turn is again everything fine and smooth! It would work all perfectly, only with this problem it is impossible to fly ... I have a notification in the ops centre informing me of a new update to my 737NGX for P3DV4. When I select install update and OK I am informed that my product is being updated. However when I rerun the ops centre I still have the yellow triangle notification saying there is a new update available. What is it trying to tell me?

Hey simmers, I am using simbrief to create flight plans and what not. So much to learn and play with the 737 and Simbrief. There is an issue that I have and I can not figure it out. I have chosen the airframe B738 -- 737-800 for the NGX and when I do create a flight plan, the passengers and cargo is set to auto. But in the sim my plane only has 162 seats vs 180 that simbrief defaults to. So I always have to play with weights and just get it passable (again I am still reading the manuals and trying to figure things out...when it comes to complex planes, I am a big newbie) How do I configure my airplane in sim to match settings of Simbrief or…

Hi, After spending so much time in the 747 v3 recently, I'm really spoiled by the 'intentionally untextured' VC External model. It really jumps out at me when I'm in the NGX! Could we expect an update in the future for this? (for P3D v4 at least?) Don't get me wrong, I love the NGX. Just an honest question :)

I think I am imputing something wrong into the FMC because it seems like the plane is doing weird turns while I am holding. In this scenario I was holding at DAYNE and I have been following this chart. So in this screenshot I am inbound to DAYNE and everything seems normal and on the FMC you can see the figures I have inputted. What the problem is when the plane starts turning right, it turns a lot and before the magenta line which causes it to go straight abit in the hold then start turning right again. Prepar3D V4 // Latest FSUIPC // Thrustmaster HOTAS. While performing 25-minute preflight on the ground, the trim wheel continuously and intermittently adjust nose down. After I set takeoff trim, by the time I make it to the runway, my trim ends up being at full nose down. How do I correct this?

Hello guys, My PMDG Operation Center download the update, seems to update the software but i'm always with the previous version in the FSX simulator. And when i re open the PMDG Op Center, it tells me one more time that there are updates available for the 737. Is it possible to re install the update version over the previous one from my PMDG account by downloading the whole zip file of the whole installer instead of updating it from the Operation Center ? I updated to the latest pmdg 737ngx version via OC the other day (V1.20.8443) and was doing some testing today and discovered an issue with the rudder. Whilst taxing and during takeoff the rudder works as expected, however as soon as I'm in the air the rudder plays up. Whether I am pressing full rudder left or right, I will hold the rudder pedal down to one side for maximum deflection and the rudder would deflect for a fraction of a second then snap back to centre, even though I still have the rudder pedal hard left or right. Hi All, while flying a FMC flight plan I am not able to see VOR1&2 information shown on the PFD. From the FMC screen I see that there are VORs tuned that change as expected along the way, but even if VOR1&2 switches are set to show the VOR info I do not see it in the lower left and right areas of the pfd. What is strange is that in some flights this info is shown, in other flights it isn't Any hint on how to have this info shown on the PFD according to what FMC reports ? Hi guys, I flown the 737 NGX PMDG for several years. I load it on FSX from a personnal panel state "short term state" for several years and no problems occurs. Since today i update my 737 NGX PMDG with the last version. I use this panelstate as usual, but the words "fuel" and "antiice" are still illuminated when i'm ready to taxi and i don't understand why they stay in these state. i only fill the fual at 30 % so all pumps are on except centers (no fuel in center tanks) And accordind to "anti-ice", the conditions to engage it are not meet. Yesterday I was flying into ATL and figured the conditions would be favorable for an autoland. This is my first in this plane after many in the Airbus and I couldn't get it to work. The ap2 would always disconnect. I'm not sure what I did wrong as I had both freqs tuned to the ils, both had the runway course on the obs, I clicked app after interception of the ils localizer. No matter what I did the second autopilot would not stay illuminated and I would stay in single channel mode. Any thoughts?

I'm currently in IVAO flying to EHAM and when I was taxiing, my dome light randomly came on. I tried switching it off and it didnt work. I switched off all the lights and it still did not work. Hi all, I have a few questions about the upgrade to the new PMDG 737 NGX - FSX Version 1.20.8413 but can't find the answer in the README file. I am running FSX on a Win7 (64) system. (no internal simulator shifts, no registry problems) My installed version is 1.10.6461 (november 2015) and now I want to upgrade to the new version 1.20.8413 Downloaded via Aerosoft Updates, entered Serial Key, everything is OK. My questions are: 1) Can I run the Installer directly or do I first have to uninstall the old version 1.10.6461 with Win7 remove software functionality ? 2) And in case of uninstalling first, do I loose my PMDG SETUP settings as spe…

After one successful flight today I have had three CTD with the NGX. Very unusual for this plane. I also do not have a HUD display. A ticket has been submitted. I don't know if it is connected. I did a repair earlier today with no change. This is the minidump. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this but when I drop the HUD down the details in the bottom left corner are cut off by the main panel. I am running P3D latest version and latest version of PMDG 737. Geoff Thomson

I'm aware that this is not any malfunction, but is there a way to keep the PMDG sounds (engines, packs etc.) audible when switching to other applications (charts, OFP, ACARS...)? The sim sounds are still there.
