After updating my 737 to the latest version in P3D V4, it seems that there is no click spot on the lower outboard DU (Captains AH) The magnifying glass does not appear when I hover over the display. All of the other displays work fine. I also tried selecting it from the vehicle\instrument display menu but that also doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem?

  4. Gentlemen, Im still learning and practicing the PMDG 737NGX and have still unanswered questions for which your answers and support would be very kind and helpful.^The PMDG737-800/900 is more or less configured and also study all the manuals since days. Following questions I have: 1. The lower display unit (Display between the 2 FMC's) is always black and not working in my optionion. Until now, I didn^t found out, how and where I can switch on the LDU in the cockpit. The FMC settings for aircraft/Displays etc are set according the recommendations of the PMDG manual. Where can I turn on the LDU and bringing it back to life? 2. When I set the PMDG …

Because of my Windows 10 system dying I have had to completely reinstall everything including FS and 737NGX. As I have reinstalled from the newest PMDG install files I decided to refamiliarise myself with the 737NGX by going again through the tutorials. The most recent installs have newer and more recent fixes and navaids info than when the tutorial was wriitten and in fact most of the leg fix changes are not needed which is fine though legs are slightly different in terms of where they are on the page and are in different places so you can't slavishly follow the suggested key strokes. However the route gives an error No descent path after NIRSI and so you cant set VNA…

Morning all, I have noticed that I am unable to manually enter speed restrictions in the climb page. Just get a invalid entry warning message. I type it as 240/10000 or 240/100, same message when trying to enter in the "SPD/REST" SECTION. Also noticed it will not auto stick to 250 below 10000ft. Just speeds to cruise speed. Can enter a speed restriction into the legs page for a certain way point and it will adhere. Been a few months since I've flown this girl but i'm sure that is what I used to do!! http://prntscr.com/fvz4lk Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Small problem I discovered with the 737-600 cockpit is that when you switch on the anti-collision light at night you can see the dynamic lighting flashing the cockpit in red. Would there be any way to fix that? Doesn't happen on any other of the 737 series probably because the anti-collision light is located further back. Thanks in advance.

  9. Hi guys, I don't know how it's possible but I can use dynamic lights having very good performance with NGX (but had problems with it - www.avsim.com/forums/topic/514701-no-external-lights-illuminating-ground-when-dynamic-lighting-disabled/). Almost no FPS drops with stable 35 fps and very good graphics quality at FlyTampa Amsterdam on Vatsim! I would like to share my settings, so here you are... I'm just curious if my configuration helps you giving you better performance with Dynamic Lights enabled. Now I can use my landing and taxi lights at night without any stuttering. What is going on with the 737-800 in Prepar3D v4? Normal set-up in cold&dark. Everything loaded without any problems. After push-back and a normal engine start sequence i advanced the throttles but no engine response/spool up. Power levers itself moving forward but the engines are keeping at iddle thrust. All flight controls are working except the rudder. I have response in FSUIPC5 and also in the standard Prepar hardware settings. Regards Jo va Bra

  11. Hi All I think i know the answer to my question but will ask just to confirm anyway. I own the NGX on CD published by Aerosoft purchased through Amazon back in 2012. I have used the box serial to obtain updates over the years but suddenly the serial i have flags up as incorrect on the Aerosoft support page. I have been told by Tom Weigandt at Aerosoft support that i have to contact PMDG directly to address the incorrect serial number. I do not believe this is correct. Can you please clarify who should give me support in this instance? Kind regards Paul Dulson

Every time I don't start from cold and dark, after a few minutes in I get some sort of rapid alarm that goes off. I thought it was electrical or part of the APU but I had ground power on and the APU running. This happened when I changed the panel state from cold and dark to the state that would be if the plane was on its second or third leg of the day. Any idea what this could be from and how to stop it?

Using the P3D v4 NGX with latest updates through the OC. When I activate the HUD the lower right area of the display seems to be missing as if it is hidden "behind" the glare shield: see attached pic. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jgxu79g50sil3u9/IMG_1506.jpg This is probably not correct. Anyone else having this issue?

Hello everybody, i just did my first flight in P3Dv4 and with the NGX. I noticed that i need significant higher thrust to let the aircraft roll compared to the FSX. Is that just with me or is that a normal behavior with P3Dv4? Greetings Michael

Hi fellow simmers, some of you may know the Remote CDU I developed for PMDG aircraft. I've been working on a new tool - a remote Overhead Client that runs on a 2nd PC and interfaces with the overhead panel of the 737 NGX. All visible switches / annunciators are modeled and operational and fully synchronized with the in-flight overhead panel. The idea is that you can use an old PC running Windows to run the overhead - no need to use multiple views within FSX/P3D that reduce performance. Before spending additional time to get this in releasable state, I would like to get a rough understanding how big the interest is to purchase this addo…

Is there any way to force the compact engine display by default when using the PFD/ND display? I'm emulating Southwest's displays, and they don't use the lower DU for enging displays, but whenever you start the aircraft (even when using a saved flight), the display will default to secondary engine displays on the lower DU and you have to use the ENG and SYS push buttons to get the secondary engine data on the upper DU.

Ever since ive installed the product (only using Win 7), i always get green blur next to the cursor when hovering over 2D CDU panel keys, and the mouse pointer changes. It doesnt seem to appear on any other 2D panel or the VC. I already tried changing mouse pointer settings, but it doesnt seem to make any difference.

Hi all, I am on a flight from TNCC to KMIA. The departure called for a turn from runway heading 113 to 344 right after departure with a hold down of 5000'. I selected VNAV with no lateral mode, spooled up and pressed TOGA. After passing 1000' I pressed heading select for the turn, the airplane started to turn, brought up the flaps and soon thereafter things went weird. Something I'm doing wrong because I've seen it before. Around 4000' the airplane started overspeeding (300+ knots) and blew through 5000' up into the 6000s. I checked that the hold down was in the MCP. I did click Speed Intervene to 250KIAS which didn't seem to help...speed came down some but hel…

  22. What would a realistic and neutral stab trim value be when on the ground with the engines running and the HYD pumps on? Reason for my question is I'm trying to set up a Brunner CLS-E yoke where I can choose between software or hardware trim in the CLS2Sim software that comes with the yoke. If I use the software setting I need to have the stab trim in the NGX set to about 4 units to get a neutral pitch looking in the CL22Sim software (as well as the actual position of the physical yoke along the pitch axis). I find this a bit strange since the stab trim scale is 0-17 so to me it would make more sense a neutral position would be somewhere around 8.5 units but I gu…

  23. Has anyone every thought of creating some sort of addon/plugin for the NGX in which the longer you fly the specific plane, the wings get dirtier? It could read the .hours file for the specific reg and if somehow it could read any kind of Active Sky file like other addons do to detect the type of weather you were flying in. I'm not sure how complex this would be, specifically the weather part, but I feel it would add an extra point of realism to the aircraft. Just a thought I had tonight.

Hi guys, I'm considering buying a Flight deck solutions CDU to use with the NGX. Does any of you have any experiece with it? I know it's not yet compatible with P3D V4, but Steve Cos told me the goal was to get the software ready by mid September or earlier. It definitely looks like a solid piece of hardware. Thanks

I am curious as to what benefits I would get by buying pfpx or using simbrief. Currently when do I g a domestic USA flight, I get my flights flight plan from FlightAware and fuel from topcat. When entering the cockpit, I go into the fmc, randomize the cargo and payload and then use the fuel that was given in topcat. So my question is, what additional information would I be getting from simbrief that I'm not currently getting with my current method? On top of that, what would the $50 fee of pfpx give me over simbrief or my current process. I also add the average wind into the fmc that I get from active sky. Please help me understand the uses for these. Thanks!!
