I decided to do a different flight by flying into a 3900 feet runway and the lowest possible weight. The runway elected by TOPCAT would have been at 28knt tailwind during landing. When i calculated the speeds, it came back red and i ended up using the opposite runway with a 28knt headwind. Anyway the landing was cool and quick with maximum braking. FUN

Good afternoon (well, here in Southern New Hampshire, USA it is, anyway!)It's the Ol' Blackbird here......with a question for any Real life NG Pilots (or anyone with any knowledge)......Is it just me, or does the trim wheel in the cockpit spin very slowly on the new 737 NGX? The reason I ask is that I have several videos by I T V V and WAR (World Air Routes) of 737's, and the trim wheel is often spinning much faster than on my sim. Any ideas? I love the sound it makes (thanks to the Gent who did the all sounds - they are lush.) This is not a complaint.........just an observation. I think the '73 is the finest aircraft to grace FSX - bar none - and that's saying a lot …

Hello,After running with SP1 for a bit, I sometimes experience strange behavior on push back. I was pushing back from KATL this evening with a distance of 131 feet straight back with a 0 degree turn specified in the CDU. The push back started, and did not stop. In addition, it did not push straight back. It wound up doing a 270 degree turn to the left. I've experienced this behavior before when I specified a direction turn. This is the first time I experienced this problem with a command to push straight back. I do not recall experiencing this problem before SP1.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!Mike Murphy

Hi i have just bought the ngx which is brill however i do notice lines running through the screen specially when its not light eg at night. I dont know whether this is an ngx thing or FSX. They are like waves only quite faint.Any help would be much appreicated.Regards Chris

Hi guys. I tried the 13R RNP approach into PSP, and got somewhat confused as to quite what the plane was up to. See attached image. It's attempting to cross LACIV at 4400ft (well almost!) as per the legs page, but the vertical deviation on the ND is showing me as being 828ft above path. Am I missing something?!

I'm not normally one for posting pics and vids etc, but having come across this FranceVFR scenery, just had to have a go at it. It's just a number of short clips I joined together with WMM while doing a very pleasant, coastal sight seeing trip in the great NGX.It was a VERY hastily put together trip and I paid scant attention to flight procedures, so ignore the internals. It's really more to show how good the scenery and NGX go together.Like most photo scenery addons (except SoCalX), it's not brilliant below 2500ft. Once up to about 4000 - 4500ft though, it's excellent. IMHO, it's only let down's are the occasional green hue in a VERY few localised spots, and the way …

Hi guys,I think this has been asked before but... When can we expect the NGX to be able to fly the RF legs?Secondly, in the meantime.. Is there anyone on the forum who would like to help me make the procedures for CYLW? I have all of the data, charts etc for them.. But am only just learning the format of the PMDG Navigation Database *Which differs significantly from its real world conterpart.Many thanks in advance

This has been the case since before SP1. Steps to recreate:1. in VC, load cold/dark..allow initialization to complete. cockpit will be totally silent.2. goto an external view, i hit F11.3. go back to VC, now you will hear something definitely powered up.Its not a big deal just thought I'd bring it up.

Hi everyone,First of all, let me be clear, the NGX is by far the best airliner addon I've ever seen for FSX.That being said, there is one major flaw, I think, is that it's really hard to find the BASIC DATA for those aircraft.I think that if you want to really enjoy an airliner of such complexity, you have to plan your flight carefully.It's been said several times on those forum that TOPCAT was recommended for perf calculations.Here comes my request to PMDG or anyone else who could help.Would it be possible to get a synthetic document or post in the forum summarizing the weight values you used for the NGX ?What I'd like is basically the values needed to configure a TOPCAT…

Is anyone else getting VC panel freezes on the NGX SP1, perhaps when combined with the FSDT KLAX 1.1 scenery? I can reproduce this almost every time, and it continues to this date - always tested with a SWA -800 (before and after SP1). Could a kind soul with similar addons attempt a comparative flight as described below - at dusk or night?I takeoff from FSDT's KLAS, starting from cold and dark, on a short filight to FSDT's KLAX (latest version) via the HEC transition in the early evening or night (heavy texture load). Hey fallows,I have a question about how to use the light in the VC correctly, so.1.whats the anti collision lights effecting on?2. is the panel lights turn on and off the passenger cabin lights?3.I know hot to light the cockpit in two ways but i saw on pictures that there's another, i light it with the sparkle light the sparkle the gauges which darker and on the upper panel there's a button thats really light all the cockpit, is there any other way?i know there is near the place that i rotate to sparkle the forward panel a couple of switches that light the forward panel sronger but except for that, is there more switches like that? thanks any help appreciate, Daniel

I had a problem with my default flight so I deleted it. Next time I started FSX it gave an error message (which I ignored) but now my most of my NGX textures are low-res. I checked the Performance tool in the 737NGX directory and set all textures to HIGH. I restarted it to check they had been saved correctly, but even after createing a new default flight, rebooting twice, and checking everything again, they are still low res. The attached image is from the -600 but the same problem exists for all the other varients I have tried.On the image, note the text on the FMC and beside the spoiler compared to the buttons on the FMC.

ATC assigned me to a different runway than expected. When I went into the DEPARR page to change the runway it wouldnt let me. Its like it was just stuck with that set runway. It also said "invalid entry".

Hi All I MTOW in FCOM1 states 70,533 KG for typical 737 800 but the FMS. states 79200 KG, others sources such as Topcat, fuel planners etc indicate up around 78600K funny that the FCOM1 would state 70,533KG might be a typo,thats a big difference
