PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

When filling in the fmc I would expect that when I'm finished with entering all the preflight data "Pre flight complete" would appear on the FMC (like with 737 NG for FS9). Does this however not happen. Anyone with the same issue over here or do I miss something?Thanks and regards,Maurice

Greetings all,I've noticed an item on the checklist/flow that I use that refers to a "high altitude landing switch". Aside from the obvious answer, what exactly is its purpose, and is it modeled on any of the PMDG 737s? Many thanks.

I've noticed a strange speed / autothrottle issue has crept in of late.This has only occurred since installing SP1 and starting to use the liveries (not sure if either have any bearing on this) -In VNAC and LNAV mode and with Autothrottle selected at cruise, the speed/tape fluctuates erratically within 5knots above and below target speed. To compensate for this of course the engine keeps spooling up and down. Very annoying.If I deselect AT the issue goes.Has anyone else come across this as after searching on here I couldnt find anything.Thanks

Hello gents ! Im very pleased to tell im now an owner of the NGX and looking forward to continue my flying in this fantastic bird. The FPS is just amazing and i love SAS livery ;)I just followed the installation but having some problems, when i started up the -800WL i had all my screens blanked out, overhead panel looks wierd and some other functins is not working. I'll paste one picture of my overhead panel and hope someone can give me some advice before i do the Reinstallation.I have a brand new computer and the FSX installed + the Acceleration pack. GuysWhy is it that quite a few Airports are actually missing in the Database of the PMDG.I would have thought they also come from Navigraph when youc donload the AIRACS on a monthly basis. Also it wonders me how some waypoints etc aremissing or not in the database when they are in Flight Sim Commander for example.You do your routes and transfer them over and in the NGX it says not in DB.How can you do a route if some airports are missing?????Thx Ian

Hi guysThat's my first experience with the livery making.My workflow:I'd take the NGX 800 Paintkit, and i draw my livery on the fuselage.After the crop of the three parts of the fuselage, i'd exported my BMP 32bits from PS CS5.Then, reading fs developer forum i'd learned to import my textures with DirectX SDK, that's may be better than use DTXbmp freeware tool.But when i load my NGX with my livery, this seems to be less sharpen than the original BMP... then: what i can do fopr obtain a great textures as the fantastic liveries proposed in the "Livery availability" Thread?

I was flying out of BUF today and encountered the autopilot making what became very wild S-curves. I've heard of such behavior in other PMDG aircraft using ActiveSky products. However, I was using default FSX weather "heavy snows" theme to practice some cold weather procedures (in fact, typically on my other flights I use ASX without problem).I was in the 737-800WL and departed runway 5 on the BUF3.YXU DP. My FD was set up with A/T in TO/GA, HDG SEL armed and VNAV armed. Once passing 3,000' AFE I selected direct to YXU through the FMC legs page and selected LNAV (following BUF3 DP with NADP1). I would definitely want to see if PMDG could put a camera mode that you can walk around the cabin/airplane. Since the inside is already modeled, I don't think this would take a lot of time to make.What about you? Think about things to add to the enjoyment.

Hello,I installed SP1 following the instructions in the sticky. And I did a search but could not find anything similar.Here is the problem:Pre-SP1: Everything works fine (I have logged quite a few hours without problems)After installing SP1: As in the screenshot. Black gauges and can't do anything. When flying IFR, the ATC radar contact report always puts me 300 ft above my PFC altitude. This happens above and below transition altitude regardless of the baro setting of STD or field report. Also: Why does FSX ATC report a different baro pressure for the same airport from FSC9 or REX weather?Let me know if you've seen this. Thanks.

hi alli am happy to announce that i installed the new NGX into FSX installed under bootcamp on an iMac 27"...and it run's at least a million times better than on a pc....My iMac setup is the following:Intel i7 3,4Ghz cpu2TB Harddisk2GB ATI Radeon 697016GB RamI made a 350 GB partition for bootcamp , installed Win7 Home Premium 64bitStarting FSX is via FSX Booster softwareI get a constant 50-60 fps with all details at full resolution (2560 x 1440). Overflying Aerosoft Ibiza FSX scenery low-level with the NGX gives me inside VC around 40-50 fps, outside in spot view around 100-110 fps.The large iMac screen makes flying the ngx almost seem like a dream....looking forward to t…

My arrival was the POS1N STAR, to ILS 24 at LEIB, via the BEBES transition.At about 2000 feet, I disengaged the autopilot, for a manual landing. I always land manually, just love that. I always really happy with the performance of FSX, 30 fps right here at LEIB, with maxed out scenery except for water which is on HIGH 2X. But when using Fraps, unfortunately the video gets really laggy...If you have any better ways to record, in HD (!), please tell me!Thanks!

I am wondering about a couple of things.When I click on the 6 flight displays, they will appear so I can stretch and position them. But I cant do this with the ISIS, clocks and HUD. And the CDU`s will still have the bezel with buttons displayed. Is there any solution for this? So I can get all the displays resizeable and moveable without having buttons and bezels displayed.And...If all this can be done, can the positions be saved? Or is there any plans to integrate functionality like this to accomplish the SDK?I have already finished a complete 737 sim based on PM, but planning and collecting parts for a second sim which hopefully will be a NGX based sim. Hi,everything was working fine with my livery manager but two a go every time I try to use it and install a new livery as soon as I choose the livery and hit install the livery manager freezes and it say fatal error, the program livery manager has stopped working.I have sp1 installed.any ideas ?is there another way of manually installing the liveries?Thank youDaniel Groisman

The ISA DEV entry on the PERF INIT page 1 shows 0 deg C and 32 deg F at start up (assumes an ISA day). These entries set deviation from ISA at cruise altitude, so for an ISA day both numbers should be zero. If the ISA deviation was +5 deg C the other figure would read +9 deg F, -10 deg C would equivalent to -18 deg F and so on.Kevin Hall

Just saw over at SimFlight.com that FS2Crew has an audio course available for the 737NG at a very reasonable price. Seems like a good alternative for the asking price. Five hours of audio and poster illustrations of all the panels. I would post a link but not sure if that's permitted. This is not in any way putting down the AoA courses as I'm sure they are going to be extremely well done and worth the price.SteveEDIT: Just went back to read more and noticed it was called FS2CREW "2010" - 737NG AUDIO GROUND SCHOOLso maybe this is old news?
