HiJust installed SP1b for all the NGX variants. Am wondering if anyone else has noticed that it's again not possible to use your Go Flight hardware to move the flaps and the gear. This was fixed in SP1 but now it's back to how it was at RTM.PMDG could you please bring this feature back in your next service pack.

Hi,So I downloaded the SP1b this morning, ready for fixes and reinstalling liveries, However, when I go to the aircraft selection menu, the 800Wl thumbnail is the unidentified aircraft thumbnail (a plane silouette with a ? through it). And when I clicked details, the exterior was a mixture of black and translucent. So I restarted FSX, and selected the 800WL, still the black-translucent mix, but I was going to experiment. When loaded up, this is what I see., so I switched to VC, and this is what I see. :-(Any help, cause I love the NGX!Thanks,

I have just about got my manual landing down fairly well but for one thing. I am landing under conditions practically non existant in the real word, that is with no winds. So now i want to start getting this bird on the ground under more realistic conditions.Is there any set rules, depending on wind speed, direction or both that apply when landing in a cross wind. For instance, do you use yaw? Or do you use roll? Or a combination of both. Or is it a matter of preference from pilot to pilot?I'd be interested to hear from some of you veteran simmers or maybe some RW pilots.

Captains,I have been enjoying my NGX for months now, with about 100 hours of time on it. However, every time, for whatever reason, I have to re install my Delta Livery by PMDG, the hours left until maintenance is required is reset. This does not give me a chance to experience the maintenance feature, as 250 hours takes me a long time to accumulate. I know there are some posts about this already, but no clear answer exists. I use the FSX ATC on all my IFR flights, with FSBuild-generated flight plans. With the current NGX patch applied, and maybe with the original build, After take-off and my first few ATC handoffs, I lose ATC communications and can't re-establish, even if I reload the flight plan. This is true with all my FSX aircraft now. Has anyone else seen this issue? I was thinking there might be some type of .dll conflict or something. New computer build fresh install of fsx and ngx 800 900 700 600 my problem is the livery manager is not in its folder, at first I created a desktop shortcut click on it nothing happens went back to main folder to make another one and the exe is gone I have installed this 2 times now no deal, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello,I'm having a strange issue with the NGX, when selecting an aircraft to fly if you hit "details" it will show you the aircraft's tail number in an editable field. For some reason about 80% of them don't match up to the plane. For example, the standard Southwest -700WL (N940WN) shows up as JA07AN (which is correct for one of the ANA planes). The same tail number shows at the top of the FMS PMDG Setup > Aircraft page, and the aircraft options are not set correctly (this paint has the correct config included). I have tried removing and re-installing the liveries and running the livery manager as admin and am still getting this issue, with different aircraft each time…

Reading the various posts, quite a few people seem to be be flying final approaches manually. In case "manual approach" has a very specific meaning, in this post it means flying the final appraoch without the autopilot. Even though I can fly auto landings quite well, manual landings continue to be a struggle. My question is....in general when flying manual final approaches, do you control the A/C with manual inputs on the yoke and throttle, do you use the V/S, Heading and Speed on the MCP or some combination ? How much do you depend on the localizer and G/S ? Any suggestions/tips on when to start the flare (big challenge for me here) ? This is an open-ended question…

Hello,I've just installed SP1b and when I load cold&dark profile my left CDU stays black and I have to turn on battery to set Payloads and Fuel in CDU's settings. Checked my NGX*.sav files and have 2DOpen=0, so everything seems to be ok here.I'm not sure it's really issue, but previous option with left CDU running in cold&dark profile was better IMHO, because I was able to set payloads, fuel etc before starting up this bird ;)))))))All best.P. Lastnight I started a topic on the nose wheel scrubber sound dissapearing after SP1. I notice that today it was deleated with no explanation. Hey guysThought i would post and see what kind of feedback you guys might give. Ever since installing SP1 for the 37-800/900 ngx I have been getting CTD on EVERY flight. It always crashes before I even taxi and mostly crashes before the flight even loads up. It even crashes when i use to base livery. I do not have addon airports installed....Im kinda at whitts end. I am posting this, hoping that somebody can clarify some fuel-related FMC messages that I have difficulty understanding.For relatively short flights (300-350 NM) flown at altitudes between FL270 and FL310 that I regularly undertake in the -600, as I complete the programming of the FMC, I continuously receive CDU messages that either the fuel is insufficient or that reserve fuel will be used for the flight.These messages puzzle me, because with a start up fuel load of around 60% (about 24,000 lbs), the fuel in the tanks at arrival is usually in the 10,000 – 15,000 lbs range.This has happened regardless of the altitude selected or the Cost Index selected (tried it from 15 t…

Any aircraft ini files that were created with SP1 will work fine with SP1b. ini files created prior to SP1 should not be used with SP1b... (if you have any doubts, just delete the aircraft ini file and let the sim regenerate it for you!) Hello, In airplanes you often hear the HiLo Chime ( the ding dong) quickly after each other. In the NGX i can do it but only much slower. I looked at the sound file and it is very long. Since you can't start a new sound before the old one has gone I would like to shorten than sound down. Can I simply make it shorter or will it somehow disturb the NGX?Manfred

Of course the answer should be no but pretty much each time I enable the 8X factor something weird happens to my bird.Sometimes while landing, after switching back to normal simulation rate, I experience jump of 30-40 knots during final and most of the times this leads me to abort the landing.Sometimes when still at FL370 or similar the wind blows at 98 knots....I know that purists never enable the X factor but on " long " hauls of 2-3 hours every now and then when cruising I use the 8X factor to short a bit the trip but I have almost the certainty the dynamics get 8X as well even if they shouldn't. Of course the smoking gun is in FSX hand I know that.Am I the only one ?
