PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. After SP1b I can no longer see the wings in VC view when flying the 6- and 7-series. Can still see the shine on the ground at night from the nav lights. Everything else works like a charm.No big deal, but would be nice to have some wings to look at. Any ideas, complete re-install?

    Noticed on my flight tonight that the range rings on on N/D on the FO's side is missing, never seen this before and can't remember I did any setting changes.Have looked through the various options in the FMC but to no avail...where do I find the setting that controls this?

  3. Or, more specifically, what to do with the IRS during a layover... Should I be doing anything with the IRS while on a stopover, such as re-aligning it?Dave C.

    Hello.I was just wondering what the best way is to line up with the runway before takeoff?Of course, I want to use as much of the runway as possible. So the question is, when should I start the turn to line up with the runway? And is there a way to remember it? Like when the centerline is past one of the windows, etc?

    Hi,I noticed something I can't explain. Hopefully someone here can! During normal operation the electric panel shows approximately 45Amps on both sides (both engines running, IFDG's feeding bus 1&2).But when I start the APU and using solely APU power for both buses it shows only something like 52Amps.So the question is: Where did ~38Amps go??I'm very curious for the answer!Best regards,

    When I click on the CDU and than undock it, I can pull it to my second montor and it works ok. But, because the CDU is used very often and the information is importent , I want the CDU , let say, 1.5 times as big.But when I resize it with my mouse (draw the right edge), the CDU doesn't work anymore or even the windows is black. When I push the buttons nothing happens, but when I push the CDU back to my main monitor I can see that the CDU is still working.I use a Geforce GTX 470 with a Samsung 22" monitor 1650x1050 32 bits 60Hz (main monitor) and a Dell 19" monitor 1280x1024 32 bits 60 Hz (second monitor).What is the better way to resize the CDU??     If I select the POS page from the INT REF page of the FMC there are 4 pages.Selecting next page loops to 2, 3 then 4 then to page 1 of the PROGRESS page where it stays.Selecting prev page on the POS page loops to 4, 3, 2 then 1 and so on. It remains within the POS pages but going forward doesn't.

    I flew into OKC last night and received a 250./10000 at DECKK from ATC. After punching into the CDU, I received a "Unable 250 at DECKK" message. I was only flying at 285 knots indicated and had 95 miles to DECKK at 32,000. Additionally, winds were a near 96 knot head wind at 289 degrees. It seemed to me that making both the altitude and speed restriction should have been easy via VNAV. I took a look at the DES page and did not see DECKK listed as I normally do and was unable to enter the fix and speed/altitude restriction. I ended uop using FLCH rather than VNAV to meet the restriction.I guess my question are why DECKK did not show in the descent page? What are the…

    Hi i have the ngx, aes rex and registered version of FSUIPC. Whilst flying i notice the wind speed on the ND fluctuates alot. I have the settings correct in FSUPIC i think. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.Settings in FSUIPCSMOOTH WIND CHANGES NEAR A/C SET TO 0 AND 3SMOOTH ONLY WHEN AIRBOURNETHEN I HAVE SELECTED THE SUPPRESS WIND EFFECTS GUSTS/VARIANCE.Any idead would be much appreciated, or is this normal .Regards Chris

    Any operational reason why the front passenger door will not open? I believe I parked at the gate correctly with engines shut down and all other settings as they should be, i.e. ground power, APU on, wheels chocked, etc.Perhaps I am missing something.Thanks,Kevin

I do apologise if this has been done to death already but I noticed a real lack of FPS the other day whilst there was a lot of traffic on VATSIM and I just wondered what people have found to be the main one, or main few tweaks that seem to make the biggest difference to FPS. I've tried using that ******* fella's cfg file but all it does is cause FS to hang and not start properly.

    This was really strange it never happen in my flightsim history and i don't know if it's NGX related.I was park at PHNL gate before engine start and the aircraft start to move alone without any input once up to the nearby hills it stop and descent form the hill then i was back to normal and able to use my input.The only way i could stop it was pause and use slew but in normal it was going only in one direction i start to use pedals and yoke to see of any change but nothing.It can be only onetime or a noise from hardware even if controls where uncheck in FSX, i just want to write as found really strange phenomen.

    Hi all,I asked this question a few months back when we were all discussing random stuff prior to the NGX's release :)I though I'd mention what I've actually been using with my NGX and see if you folk have any good ideas for more adventures.So...I've just discovered the NL2000 freeware scenery for Holland. It works great on my rig, autogen off. It gives you full photoscenery coverage of the whole country. I've combined that with the payware aerosoft germany vfr photoscenery and the horizon vfr photoscenery of the uk to give me a suitably big area of real- world europe to fly my ngx in.     Hi All,When using the performance manager to decrease the texture quality it seems like the textures are only being changed in 800 and 900 NOT the 600/700... I tested it but the textures arent changing in the 600/700 is this a bug??Also, just landed at heathrow, autobrake 2 and the brakes werent even activating at all, before SP1 I used to be able to use the autobrakes..I hope I can get these issues sorted with you help!Many Thanks and Best Wishes,Tristan

    Page 104 of the intro PDF states that a zoom factor of .6 with the bottom of displays along the bottom of the monitor will result in a view configuration that gives a clear view of the captain's displays and engine instruments. as well as the windscreen.
