I have the engines running when FSX is loaded. The Captain and Co-Pilot's displays are on and alive. I shut down the engines, After push back I start the engines. The Captain's displays are on and alive. However, the Co-Pilot's displays are dark and not alive. This happens all the time. What am I doing incorrectly or what have I failed to do? Thank you. Warren

HiWhen using either 6,7,8 or 900 variants I seem to be getting an issue that happens most flights.I have SP1b installedI only get this issue with the NGX I have all other PMDG planes as well as others and it only happens with the NGX.The issue can happen mulitple times during a flight. It is difficult to describe, essentially what is happening is short pauses during flight. They do not happen in succession but are isolated occurences during a flight. If the cursor is visible when a short pause occurs then it will turn into the windows 7 progress circle like something is loading, so it is not a stutter. When it happens I get the short pause around a second then everythign is…

Hello guys! Today I had to do a circling approach and had to face the fact that I had no idea how to correctly setup the FMC for this. What is the correct way to do? The FCTM doesn't say anything really interesting about this. I had programmed the ILS approach to RWY 13, flown it manually to circling minima, then started my circling maneuver to RWY 31 as usual. But of course, when I passed abeam the MA (Missed Approach) waypoint, the FMC started thinking I was going around. How do you do that correctly? Thanks!

I was wondering if someone would please make a 737-800 w/ WL of Texas International. I know they never flew them, or any 737 for that mater. But I think it would look awesome, and I am sure that anyone that likes Continental would love it ( Since COA bought them). http://images3.jetph..._1137151730.jpg Thank You!

Hi,I am trying to get realistic with my transoceanic action. My question is a few fold.Is there any good flight planning software for FSX that will calculate the critical point(s) and the ETP's as well as the regulatory criteria with fuel from these points to the enroute alternates?AlsoHow do we set up the FMS to have these points available along the route?Short of having a bizzilion charts layed out across my bed and doing this all manually to get the latlong I would like to do it the easy way like the dispatchers do.Thanks!

Hello, I understand it may well sound as blasphemy here and for that i am very sorry but i couldn't find a satisfactory answer in the forum here nore in the manuals so i take my chances... :Nail Biting: So here goes ( cough, cough...) I'd like to fly the NGX via an FSX IFR flightplan under 'FSX ATC rules', i.e. without the FMC ( maybe only program fuel and weight ) only using the AP. No SID's or STAR's, LNAV or VNAV. Just old fashioned VOR to VOR and follow ATC instructions. I managed to hold a Heading and Speed, get up to a certain Altitude via V/S and hold it via Alt/Hld. Even pick up the ILS via APR during Base Leg. But i can't seem to get it to follow …

Morning, I was just browsing around on Youtube and I came across this video taken from the flight deck of a Dash 8-Q400. Its a brilliant video showing a first person view of a CATIIIa approach through the HUGS. As you can see the information regularly appears and then vanishes. Could anyone tell me anything about this as i cannot think of any situation when it would be useful to have this especially in a hand flown approach. I was also wondering since the layout looks similar to that on the NG if this was something that is on the real NG but not in PMDG's FSX rendition. Thanks

Hi After I, by an accident turned off the AP, by pushing my yoke. I couldn't turn on CMD A, I noticed that the failure for AP 1 was activated after I've pushed the yoke. Is this normal??

Hello everyone, I recently purchased the NGX and so far i am very happy with this product. I was flying the second tutorial today and out of nowhere, my view changed to a different part in the cockpit, it was behind and to the left of the captain's seat near the floor. I couldnt get it to change back to its original position and thus ended up flying the rest of the flight from the right seat. I found this very weird and annoying since i couldnt change it. Funny thing is that it also happened with the PMDG J41 as well, with this other aircraft the view moved to behind the captains seat so no matter how i panned it didnt do anything. I was just wondering if anyone has expe…

Hi everyone. When I use the NGX with the Matrox triplehead2go to obtain 5040x1050 over three monitors I have no problems in the VC. However, when I switch to 2D view I get the mouse pointer issue talked about in other threads. I understand this issue is not a PMDG issue, nor a matrox issue: it is caused by FSX not knowing how to render the newly stretched 2D panel across to the new resolution. I managed to find the fix (and applied it to simpler planes). Reducing the size of the 2D panel by one third by editing the panel.cfg will tell FSX how to deal with the normal resolution x 3. My problem with the NGX. The NGX has a much more complex panel.cfg and it is not…

Next to the Isolation Valves there are two Switches. "L PACK" & "R PACK" is it safe turning them off after I started the engines? Do I really need those Packs on the entire flight? they are very noisy must I say.

Hey guys, i fly the NGX a lot and with no doubt, I love this 737. Anyhow i´ve got a few questions about it. First: I´m flying the 737-900 with KLM livery. I have the Service Based Failures turned on. I wonder if i have to save the panel state after I finished my flight, and load this panel state the next time i fly. Does anybody know if I have to do this? Because until now, I always load a standard panel state, and I´m wondering if this doesnt mean that the time begins from zero. Second: When flying with winds from the right or left, and the wind is so strong that it exceeds like approx. 90 knots, the airplane is out of control. On cruise, with Vnav and Lnav…

I'm running NGX really smooth with all the typical add-ons, however, the on thing that starts killing my FPS is when I run Ultimate Traffic2. I hate flying into empty airports! Any suggestions?

Hi all, I am wondering if it is possible to set up the NGX -800 series so that the seating reflects the popular "high density" configuration, with 189 seats. This configuration is used by many, many airlines and if it is not possible to select this configuration via the menus, it would be nice to see it added in the next service pack. Just to name a few airlines that offer 189 seats: -Ryanair -Norwegian (not all aircraft) -Transavia -Jet2 -Thomson Airways -TUIfly -Spicejet -Canjet -Sunwing Probably there are other airlines as well, not listed above.
