Hi Everyone, I have a small issue when loading C&D state. Once the plane is powered up the "Speedbrake Armed" light goes on. As the topic title says, the are NOT armed. Only when both engines are running it extinguishes. I attached a screenshot. It´s nothing dramatic, I just wondered if any of you had this before. Regards, Arne Bergner

Hello All,If i understood right from the AoA hydraulics lesson and FCOM, the standpipe in system A reservoir would prevent the loss of all fluid in case of a leak in the engine driven pump system. There should be about 20% left in the tank, so the electric pump would still keep the system pressurised. However in the PMDG 737NGX, if i program the "EDP1 HYD LEAK" failure, the fluid quantity will slowly decrease to 20%, then a warning is triggerd, because the pressure in the EDP pump system is low. That is ok, but after that the amount of fluid will go back to 0%Also when on the ground with no engines running (EDP on, but it is not spinning) the same failure will also leak fl…

Hi guys, I have a problem with the direct to function on the 737 NGX. When I proceed a "direct to", we can see on the PFD et ND that I'm 0.4 NM Right of my route and this offtrack is still increasing. When I was reaching the waypoint the plane was 1.0 NM offtrack!! I've inserted the correct wind in the FMC. Sometimes around 0.4 – 0.5 NM the plane tries to go back on its route but it's still flying on a parallel track and it's still continue to deviate. Does someone else noticed that problem when you proceed to a direct route? Regards, Vincent.

Hi All,My retail-packaged copy of NGX arrived yesterday and I eagerly went through all the install processes without problem. I was fairly familiar with the product from following many of the excellent YouTube videos and various tutorial docs; I was previously an avid user of the 2004 version. I read the introduction and made the various suggested changes, and then started the Tutorial 1 processes. And then, oh dear, what misery!!I set up the 800wl version on runway 8R of Gatwick as required by the tutorial booklet supplied in the Aerosoft retail packaging. The engines were running so I set the parking brake began the FMC initialisation as described. I was rather p…

When my NGX is heavy loaded before making a long flight, I call AES to push me back and once push back starts after releasing brakes, the plane bounces and bounces on the tarmacwith the tug attached until the push back has stopped. Anyone have this issue? It's only when the plane is heavy with payload and fuel for those medium to longer flights. Please help! Thanks.

I was just listening to the latest FSBreak podcast, and in it AOA's Chris Palmer says he has switched from using FSX to process the axis assignments for the NGX to FSUIPC. Until I bought the NGX last August, I had FSUIPC exclusively handle all my hardware (CH Products Yoke and Throttle, and Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals), using it for it's increased fidelity in joystick movement and calibration. PMDG explicitly stated in their intro document that they do not recommend using FSUIPC for joystick axis assignment and calibration, and so I took them at their word and started sending those commands directly to FSX in its controller options module. I really have no comp…

I tried to do a search for both of these questions without any success so if they've already been answered I apologize. The first question is regarding the view in the 2D cockpit for both the NGX and the MD-11. The view out the window looks straight at the ground. I zoom out all the way so I can see further down the runway but it makes everything look very distant at the same time. Is there any way to change the view? The second question is regarding the force-feedback on my sidewinder joystick. When I'm taxiing with the MD-11 I get no feedback, which is fine. But when I taxi with the NGX the stick is shaking all over the place - I assume to simulate bumps in the pave…

Hi, in the FCOMv1 page 17 it says for 737's without stiffened elevator tabs: "After any ground deicing/anti-icing of the horizontal stabilizer using Type II or Type IV fluids, airspeed must be limited to 270 KIAS until the crew has been informed that applicable maintenance procedures have been accomplished that would allow exceedance of 270 KIAS. Once the applicable maintenance procedures have been accomplished, exceeding 270 KIAS is permissible only until the next application of Type II or Type IV deicing/anti-icing fluids." Does anyone know, why they limited the airspeed after use of thickened deicing/anti-icing fluids? Foreman

Hello,This is still a temporary report but probably somebody with similar problems and specs can reproduce the results...Just today I was able to reproduce a method how to avoid my OOM problems I regularly experienced at EHAM. I failed in most cases, even when reducing UT2 traffic to 20% (GA even to 10%), ground traffic was set to low and street traffic etc. was set to less than 15%. I did not want to make other compromises regarding the visual impression (clouds, resolution and whatever else). However, today I was able to pinpoint Active Sky 2012 to likely consume more memory than a 32Bit app can handle in this combination as I reduced my settings here in steps, followin…

Hello, quick question. Why are the probe heat switches kept off during preflight? I understand they are AC powered, but the APU should be on by then regardless the GPU usage. I remember I found out why some time ago, but can't seem to recall it right now.Thank you.

i recently read a post from one of the PMDG support members (i dont remember who at the moment) that stated that changing your Texture Max Load = 4096 was more recently confirmed to not be helpful for the NGX. The only problem is, I don't remember what it was set to before i edited the .cfg after the initial release back in August. If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it.Mitch Bowman

(Actually these are just round-robin flights from take off to landing and stop)I often make manual or AP controlled TO/Landing circuits with the 737-NGX, mostly just to practice the landing flare. This is without anything at all programmed into the CDU (No Flight Plan).I have no problem with the first part of the flights (well sometimes my pitch trim is a little off), and acquire the VOR's and ILS lock-ups on the approach as scheduled for the landing. However, Ican't seem to get a lock onto the Glide Slope using APR. No big problem, by then I am in visual acquisition range, so can finish VFR or I can use VLOC and VS to complete the landing. However, I don't understand exa…

Hey Guys,I've had this problem for a while now but I just haven't got around to asking for help with it. I found that 99% of the time I descend in the NG I rock backwards and forwards going from 2000FPM to 500FPM in a couple of seconds. In real life I'm sure there would be a few sick people. I ticked the disable turbulence and thermals on aircraft box in weather settings but that doesn't seem to help.Any ideas?
