Hello all,Having the latest NGX version installed without any problems I recently detected some strange behaviour when trying to restore a saved flight. It might have to do with a STEP entry in the FMC or not - it's time consuming to run such a test.The aircraft itself seems to recover after running through the initialization phase but the FMC remains blank and when trying to feed the flightplan in again it crashes FSX (a complete freeze might happen as well) and it does not matter if I tried to load it completely or if I started to hammer it in manually.I opened a ticked already but I would like to know whether there are similar experiences from others. I am looking at the TOPCAT site and based on what I have seen in the PMDG forums am considering the purchase. I saw in the FAQ that they claim frequent updates but the last version is a year old. Anything to worry about with support or is the product fool proof (me being the fool)? Guess I am looking for a thumbs up or down since it looks like there are a lot of users here.Thanks

Just out of curiosity... I've read other posts asking about how to turn on flood lighting like the panel lighting for the overhead, and replies stating that flood lighting for the overhead isn't present on the real 737 either, and I was just wondering what the reason for that is? i.e. not possible to light the overhead with a flood without causing bad light reflections off the cockpit windows, very detrimental to night vision even at lowest possible setting etc etc...Even with the gauge lighting on the overhead on at maximum, the lack of "ambient" or "spillover" lighting from it makes seeing many of the toggle switches and knobs almost invisible at night, and every now a…

Is there a way to remove the fuel flow indicators on the main eicas screen? I don't see it in the fmc equipment options section anywhere. I don't believe many models have this displayed in real life.David

Hey,i was wondering, cross pond is up a head, and my friend and i want to do the flight together, so we want that each one will have his own monitor with his own gear of saitek yoke and throttle, and pairs of pedals. also if that possible, two mouses.so my question is, did somebody try it? can i do that with my current PC, or we need to buy something to make it happend? thanks very much!

I was in my cruise, they I decided to look around at the rest of the cockpit and then I saw this hole in the side of the aircraft. I kept flying until I landed and then the MCP and Flight Displays and everything else disappeared and all I could see were the knobs. Is this a problem with my system?

Hi guysI would like to request this livery from PMDG as for them is much easier to make the 700 livery as they have done the 600/800s. Keep up the great work.. really superb product.. i was until i got the NGX an FS9 user but now only FSX on my system and am very happy with it..CheersTamas

Hello! I have noticed that the wing anti ice valve will not open without engine or apu bleed pressure. The manual says the wing anti ice valves are ac motored valves and do not require air pressure to open. Can any real world pilot here confirm which is correct?Thanks

I have only the 800/900 base packege yet. if iy buy in the next days the 600/700 expansion pack, must i install the service packs or will these integrated in the download?

I was flying only with the PMDG house livery since I bought the 737NGX. But now I wanted to change to other liveries but I cant see any of those in FSX. I am following each step in the livery manager and installation of the livery seems to work. However in FSX I cant find any liveries, only PMDG. Any adivse? Thanks a lot!Nic

I bought the PMDG 737-600 and 700 and he asks if as usual the code, I entered, but every time I enter the code you choose, and now say that "the maximum activation is reached"the question is, what should I do now, I can use the 800 and 900

I used to have see-through vc and HIGHMEMFIX=1 fixed it.Just noticed that now I'm having see-through circuit breaker at a random time during flight.Can this happen even with the HIGHMEMFIX=1? Thanks

Hi all,I have noticed a small issue with my NGX after installing sp1c. I installed the updates over the top of my 800/900 and 600/700 which all installed without a hitch.The issue we are seeing is the hugs projection has moved - ie its not centred on the display the output is now projected onto the bottom left corner of the dispay (cutting off the corner of the display) i will get a screenshot up tonight as its a little difficult to explain. :( Now we had 5-6 Ngx's on formation last night and the issue was reported from a couple of our pilots and the problem is accross all models.Is this a known problem or can i recentre the display- everything else is working like a dr…

Hi i was just wondering if this was normal. Whilst flying at about 35,000 the white needle swings from left to right only slightly my heading was 128 with the wind coming from 301/29 knots.Kind Regards Chris Harwood

Hi.. Mite sound baisc, but when my 737-800NGX starts up, the default cockpit view is panning down toward runway (not straight ahead) as with all other aircraft. I know about SHIFT+ENTER but does not explain why it is not in normal view.Any ideas? Thanks is advance..

Ive had to do a complete reinstall of the NGX and i was wondering, do i have to install the service packs in order up to sp1c or do i just install the latestMike

Ok I clean installed ngx and SP1. My virtual cockpit is very blurry, so bad nothing is even readable on MCP or anywhere besides the 3 screens(there fine). I use bojotes tweak. 2D is fine like it was before and fmc is fine. My PC is high end and current so its not that. It looked great in VC before SP1. Its the same on winglets as well as with or without a post sp1 livery installed. If I didnt include something that would be helpfull just lemme know. Thanks

I have had trouble getting to cruising altitude in a reasonable amount of time. I don't know what I am doing wrong. For example, On a flight from KATL to KIAD, I didn't reach FL330 until about 80 NM from T/D. That is a very slow rate. It seems that the T/C point is kept being pushed back. For example, when I look at the LEGS page before takeoff the FMC says it will reach a certain point at FL260. After takeoff, that point keeps decreasing at the altitude the FMC thinks it will reach it. This has happened several times.

I seem to having trouble actually red-lining the 737 engines on takeoff. I notice my thrust indication both on engine 1 and 2 are around 102.XX whenever I try to go full throttle. However, when I hold the F4 button, I get to 104+ and I start to redline the engine. Its odd, but I can see a twitch in the controls when I go just a bit farther back on the throttles. Windows shows the controls are normal and operating correctly, no twitches whatsoever. Does anyone know what setting I should look for to fix this issue? Has anyone experienced this same issue or is it one of those "FSX bugs" that cannot be fixed? Of course this issue happens with the NGX. Thanks for any suggestio…
