From what I gather only some livery downloads have the correct airline specific options set, for which Virgin Australia is not one.I'd like to know if the Virgin Australia have a Fail Operational or Fail Passive AFDS? Even better, if anyone has the full list of options for VA.ThanksMark Austen

Hi guys,I was trying to set my AES for the 800WL and noticed something. See, there is a door kind of standing over my wing, but nothing controls it in the AES control panel. Are you guys having this as well ? It just showed up today because i do not remember having this in the past, furthermore i have deactivated all doors except the one in the front to only have one door working with AES . Any idea ??

Hi All,Anyone had this before? (Please see attached)Basically my flight froze, none of the flights that I saved in the air will work (the initialisation counts down to 0 and then i get an app hang)I reloaded the saved flights (last one saved before takeoff) and it would seem the entire state/situation is corrupt as the FO keeps saying V1...V1...V1...V1...V1... in a way that only my 12 year would think funny :LMAO:So ... accepting it's corrupt... just wonder if anyone has seen this? Asking as this seems more frequent now post SP1C than before - i.e. only had one in the past...ThanksCarl Beeby

I had a problem with the autobrake disarm light remaining on after I mistakenly choose the 1 position first before the RTO. I thought it would still go off after few seconds but it remained on during the whole flight.So is that considered a failure that I need to clear up on the NGX FMC or is it normal? Also I have tried putting it back on disarm and RTO again, but same result.

Fellow flight simulator pilots/RW pilots,In the next six months I will be ready to invest in a new computer. I do not have the knowledge to build my own, so I thought I would just get the next best thing. The Alienware X51. I only have one question. How big of a difference will the Core i7 be from the i5? The difference in pricing is only about $100, but why spend the money if its not worth it? I am also curious if anyone knows how the GTX 555 performs with FSX and the NGX perform. My cruise altitude in the FMC is 35000 ft but it's taking forever to get there. What am i doing wrong? I can press the VS button, dial in +2000 or so, and it climbs rapidly for a minute or so ... then the feet-per-minute window goes black and the plane resumes barely climbing at all.Tom Kent

Every time I mouse over a picture of an NGX (or any other Jpeg), the photo starts spinning, then slowly comes to a stop. It's very annoying and makes me want to (GASP) go to a different forum. Is this a system wide problem, or do I need to start troubleshooting Windows 7? Thanks for your replys. (TFYR)

If I didn't forget anything, it should be available the next time the library is updated. I tried hard to improve the shine and gloss to give it that fresh from the paint shop look. I was pleased with it. Also, I threw together the interior texture for the heck of it, but it only works in the day. The night lighting causes it to display the default interior and I wasn't able to figure out how to change it. I'm going to go take a nap now.

The NGX will climb to about 60,000 ft if you turn off the left pack and any one of the window heat switches.Fred.

I have seen this subject brought up many times and I though I would make a little Tutorial explaining how to make.............. 1. Place-Bearing/Distance waypoints. 2. Place-Bearing/Place-Bearing waypoints. 3. Along Track waypoints. I will use some Pics to make it much easier to understand. The route in the pics is KBFI to KLAX.The Legs Page will be used for making these waypoints. I hope peolple find these little tutorials useful. Fred.

Hey guys! I've been flying the NGX for a few months but never got around to doing a full tutorial so I've had to learn somewhat on my own (besides using YouTube videos for procedures and all of that good stuff), but I was wondering what method is recommended for landing?Right now I set the flaps and approach speed and once I get below 2,000 I control the speed with the MCP, but I find it hard to click the speed down to a flaring speed, but do not see any other way with the auto throttle on.Is there any way to have the auto throttle stay on until, say, 100' and have it turn off to begin the flare?I'm going to try my hardest to read through the manual this weekend and hopef…

Recently I bought FS assistant for iPad, mainly because of the CDU for NGX. The app was produced by Tim van Rooijen who cashed 2,39 for it. But since the app is withdrawn from the apple app store and I didn't download the FSX-side prog from the site from van Rooijen yet, I hope he will refund his customers like me. Hello folks,so cross the pond 2012, amazing! I did a flight from birghminham to Boston int,with daul rig, saitek, and monitors, one throttle though.the duplicated, and it was very nice, every body had his own yoke and pedals, everything worked just fine! so for those who wondered, yes it's works, oh and did i forget to mention, that 2 mouses worked?(:EDIT: oh oh and i have a question about TCAS as i didn't see traffic on the radar, so how should i set the traffic on the options? i mean curently it uses not above/below 2500ft, should i put, show all? thanks(:
