PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 (64 bit) and an i5 processor to improve my performance while running NGX. I had to reinstall FSX and NGX as a result. My models (-800 and -900) come up OK and I can see the cockpit view, spot view, etc., but the initialization routine never runs and the panels aren't functional- knobs don't turn, throttles don't move, etc. Also none of the panels come up either by Shift+n or hidden spots. I have upgraded SP1, SP1b and SP 1c. Do I need a new install? My link has obviously expired, do I need to buy a new one? Thanks.

    Hey all, I think most of us have had enough time to figure out what configuration we like our NGX set up to. How do you like your cockpit displays, and why? I prefer the EFIS/Map set up the most. There is just something about having a digital six pack in the flight deck. What about you?

    Hi everyone Is the Engine Out departures feature simulated? I'm making some RNP procedures for SE Alaska, and many of these have special Engine Out Turns, which in the airplane are automatically selected when an engine fails. I looked at the FCOM V2 and it talks about it, but after simulating an engine out by pulling to idle, nothing happens. I named the EO sid "EO10", on a departure off of runway 10 in Wrangel, Alaska. I then tried turning the engine off with the fuel control switch, and still nothing. So I went into the VNAV CLB page and tried selecting ENG OUT prompt, which then asks you to select left or right engine, which I did. There does not seem to b…

    I would like to switch from PM Systems to PMDG, but I'm having trouble finding some of the parameters. For example, the only Overhead displays supported in the SDK are Flight Alt Window and Landing Alt Window. I believe I can fake out the IRU Display, but the electrical panel will be difficult. Since the SDK states "The rest of the controls and indicators match their standard FSX counterparts ...” I assumed I could get the values from FSX, but that does not seem to be the case. I tried comparing the FSX all of the DC voltages/AMPs with what is displayed by PMDG. The voltage matched, but the load didn’t. For example, when the APU is started the DC load goes up to 250+ a…

    Hey guys, I've finally had some time to put some hours into the NGX...about time it's been 9 months or so! My question is though, how can I change my T/D so that I can reach the Crossing Restriction in time? For example, I flew from YYZ-YQM and there is no waypoints around 30nm away from the airport. So how could I change my descent profile to ensure that I'm at 250B/11000B at the 30nm range around the airport? Any help is much appreciated. By the way, is there any WestJet pilots on these forums?     Hi, I love the PMDG 737, it's a great product. Unfortunaly, i found the flight model unrealistic. I use to fly with the POSKY 737, and the command latence is more realistic and more representative of airline weight. When you push the yoke, you have to wait some delay because of the weight of the plane. The PMDG is more close of the FSX default 737 Flight Dynamics Engine... it's like land with a Cesna :) Any way to ask developper to ehance the FDE ? Any way to modify PMDG file or to merge it with POSKY FDE ? Thanks. Ced

    Just a quick question about the center fuel tanks. I've watched on many real 737 videos that the center tank will have fuel in it while the centre pump switch is off. Are you not supposed to have your center tanks empty or are these just special circumstances? I often load my NGX with the 1/3 setting which leaves center tanks empty and I can't imagine PMDG would do that if it is not realistic. Anybody know what the "science" is behind having fuel in the tanks, but no pump switch on?

    Hi Gang I have had the aircraft...since it came out in aug...and have never been able to take screenshots of this craft...and cannot find the problem, I can take sceenshots of all the other PMDG planes MD11,747,747-8 , LevelD 767 etc....everyone, but this 737NGX,. It does not make a difference if its the stock PMDG paint or a repaint....I have tried them all....and I can not take a sceenshot of anyone of them...strange thing //// I am using WinXP 64, This is a big problem for me as I use this aircraft the most...and would like to take sceenshots of some of the weather I encounter with AS2012 and the 737NGX, All help would be appreciated, Best…

    Hey guys, I´m just upon getting a license for FSUIPC to get my Saitek throttle quadrant working with an reverser setting for the NGX. I´ve heared that you shouldn´t let FSUIPC process the the throttles or it will go crazy. But I don´t see any other way to get an reverser bound to the lever as through FSUIPC. Are these problems with FSUIPC fixed or not?

    When I activate the reverse thrust, I see on the eicas that it is in reverse, outside I can see the engine in reverse, but I hear no sounds until I pull the reversers back to idle. Shouldn't I hear a constant reverse sound? I hear it in the 747 -David

  15. Hey GuysMy parents just returned from the US with a ThrustMaster Hotas Warthog I asked them to bring. Most amazing Joystick I have ever tried, it's incredible, all Steel, this thing is made to last for life. The con is that I think it's impossible to configure it's axis to work correctly under FS without using Fsuipc. I have disabled the internal FS controller, using the Fsuipc calibration instead, which is much better.Does PMDG737NGX need the controller to be configured inside FSX, or can I use it with Fsuipc like I do with other aircrafts? The same question goes with the Throttle.Thanks

  16. Hello, I am painting my new repaint for the NGX but i have a problem. The Arkefly N739MA lease from Miami Air does have more windows in the fuselage then normal 737's have. I tried to make these windows with editing the alpha channel. After I loaded my NGX en viewed my paint I noticed that the windows that i have made were completely transparent and other windows are not. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

    Hi guys, this is my first time posting in the PMDG support forum and its to do with the NGX. I love this plane, absolutely fantastic but I'm having struggles with final approach speeds. To be clear, I have done some beautiful landings in the NGX and some landings I'd just love to FORGET. Lately its been terrible, just now I finished a long route from Chicago to LAX in SWA's 737-700. Descent was fine, went along with my FMS calculations, speeds fine. But like usual, when at about 800-1000ft I disengage A/P and continue to follow the G/S by hand. But for some reason lately my speed just starts dropping like crazy and I end up either not making the runway or barely making…

    Hi fellow captains On Nividea, with 2x GTX 580, the panels as FMC, Radio etc. are streched. See attached image. Can correct that of course, but is there something that makes it work like it should? I did found elsewhere that there is a solution with a "Correction factor" in a cfg file. Thanks in advance!

    Do you have to have a headset to use VATSIM, or can you communicate via key commands?? I've never used VATSIM, but I'd love to learn how, especially in my NGX. Does it affect frame rates? I'm very familiar with actual ATC comms because I have my Private Pilots license. mitch bowman

    Hello PMDG The #2 engine has two T12 sensors and the inboard engine cowl is an outboard cowl. Also is there a way to adjust the engine light off time delay? It takes too long. And before someone say how would you know. I ground run real NG's regularly Also taxi light is way too bright. In real aircraft its virtually useless (-:

    Hi fellow captains, 3 monitors is minus 2! I explain: I did use 2 monitors, one for FSX and one for FSCommander and Navigraph. I could look at the same time to 2 monitors. Now with 3 monitors I have to switch (e.g. Alt+Tab) to get the other application. Is there software to have other programs on the same 3 spanned monitors.
